Isaías 25
1 Ó Senhor, tu és o meu Deus; exaltar-te-hei a ti, e louvarei o teu nome, porque fizeste maravilhas: os teus conselhos antigos são verdade e firmeza.
Lord, thou art my God, Y schal enhaunse thee, and Y schal knouleche to thi name; for thou hast do marueils, thin elde feithful thouytis.
2 Porque da cidade fizeste um montão de pedras, e da forte cidade uma inteira ruina, e do paço dos estranhos, que não seja mais cidade, e jámais se torne a edificar.
Amen. For thou hast set the citee in to a biriel, a strong citee in to fallyng, the hous of aliens, that it be not a citee, and be not bildid with outen ende.
3 Pelo que te glorificará um poderoso povo, e a cidade das nações formidaveis te temerá.
For this thyng a strong puple schal herie thee, the citee of strong folkis schal drede thee.
4 Porque foste a fortaleza do pobre, e a fortaleza do necessitado, na sua angustia: refugio contra o alagamento, e sombra contra o calor; porque o sopro dos tyrannos é como o alagamento contra o muro.
For thou art maad strengthe to a pore man, strengthe to a nedi man in his tribulacioun, hope fro whirlwynd, a schadewyng place fro heete; for whi the spirit of stronge men is as a whirlewynd hurlynge the wal.
5 Como o calor em logar secco, assim abaterás o impeto dos estranhos; como se aplaca o calor pela sombra da espessa nuvem, assim o cantico dos tyrannos será humilhado.
As bi heete in thirst, thou schalt make meke the noise of aliens; and as bi heete vndur a cloude brennynge, thou schalt make the siouns of stronge men to fade.
6 E o Senhor dos Exercitos fará n'este monte a todos os povos um convite de cevados, convite de vinhos puros, de tutanos gordos, e de vinhos puros, bem purificados.
And the Lord of oostis schal make in this hil to alle puplis the feeste of fatte thingis, the feeste of vyndage of fatte thingis ful of merow, of vyndage wel fyned.
7 E devorará n'este monte a mascara do rosto, com que todos os povos andam cobertos, e a cobertura com que todas as nações se cobrem.
And he schal caste doun in this hil the face of boond, boundun togidere on alle puplis, and the web which he weuyde on alle naciouns.
8 Devorará tambem a morte com victoria, e assim enxugará o Senhor Jehovah as lagrimas de todos os rostos, e tirará o opprobrio do seu povo de toda a terra; porque o Senhor o disse.
And he schal caste doun deth with outen ende, and the Lord God schal do awey ech teer fro ech face; and he schal do awei the schenschipe of his puple fro ech lond; for the Lord spak.
9 E n'aquelle dia se dirá: Eis-que este é o nosso Deus, a quem aguardavamos, e elle nos salvará: este é o Senhor, a quem aguardavamos: na sua salvação pois nos gozaremos e alegraremos.
And thei schulen seie in that dai, Lo! this is oure God; we abididen hym, and he schal saue vs; this is the Lord; we suffriden him, and we schulen make ful out ioie, and schulen be glad in his helthe.
10 Porque a mão do Senhor descançará n'este monte; mas Moab será trilhado debaixo d'elle, como se trilha a palha no monturo.
For whi the hond of the Lord schal reste in this hil, and Moab schal be threischid vndur hym, as chaffis ben stampid in a wayn.
11 E estenderá as suas mãos por entre elles, como as estende o nadador para nadar: e abaterá a sua altivez com as ciladas das suas mãos d'elles.
And he schal stretche forth hise hondis vndur hym, as a swymmere stretchith forth to swymme; and he schal make low the glorye of him with hurtlyng doun of hise hondis.
12 E abaixará as altas fortalezas dos teus muros, as abaterá e as derribará em terra até ao pó.
And the strengthingis of thin hiy wallis schulen falle doun, and schulen be maad low, and schulen be drawun doun to the erthe, `til to the dust.
