Isaías 15
1 Pezo de Moab. Certamente de noite foi destruida Ar de Moab, e foi desfeita: certamente de noite foi destruida Kir de Moab, e foi desfeita.
The oracle on Moab: Because, in a night, was laid waste Ar of Moab—destroyed! Because, in a night, was laid waste Kir of Moab—destroyed,
2 Vae subindo a Bayith, e a Dibon, aos logares altos, a chorar: por Nebo e por Medeba Moab uivará; sobre todas as suas cabeças haverá calva, e toda a barba será rapada.
He hath gone up to Bayith and Dibon, to the high places, to weep, —On Nebo and on Medeba, Moab is howling, On all their heads, a baldness, Every beard, clipped.
3 Cingiram-se de saccos nas suas ruas: nos seus terraços e nas suas praças todos andam uivando, e veem descendo e chorando.
In their streets, have they girded them with sackcloth, —On their housetops, and in their broadways, every one is howling—melting in tears;
4 Assim Hesbon como Eleale, andam gritando, até Jahas se ouve a sua voz; pelo que os armados de Moab fazem grande grita, a sua alma lhes será penosa.
And Heshbon, hath made outcry, and Elealeh, Unto Jahaz, hath been heard their voice, —For this cause, do the armed men of Moab roar, Every man’s soul, quivereth to him.
5 O meu coração dá gritos por Moab: fugiram os seus fugitivos até Zoar, como a novilha de tres annos: porque vae subindo com choro pela subida de Luhith, porque no caminho de Horonaim levantam um lastimoso pranto.
Mine own heart, for Moab continueth to make outcry, Her fugitive, as far as Zoar, is like a heifer of three years; For the accent of Luhith, with weeping, they ascend, For by the way of Horonaim—an outcry of destruction, they excite;
6 Porque as aguas de Nimrim serão uma pura assolação; porque já seccou o feno, pereceu a herva, e não ha verdura alguma.
For, the waters of Nimrim, shall become desolation, —For grass, hath dried up, Herbage hath failed, Green thing, hath not sprung up!
7 Pelo que a abundancia que ajuntaram, e o de mais que guardaram, ao ribeiro dos salgueiros o levaram.
For this cause, the savings they had made and that which they had stored, Over the torrent-bed of the willows, shall they bear them.
8 Porque o pranto rodeará aos limites de Moab; até Eglaim chegará o seu uivo, e ainda até Beerelim chegará o seu uivo
For the outcry hath gone round the boundary of Moab, —As far as Eglaim, the howling thereof, And to Beer-elim, the howling thereof.
9 Porquanto as aguas de Dimon estão cheias de sangue, porque ainda accrescentarei a Dimon os sobejos; a saber, leões contra aquelles que escaparem de Moab, como tambem contra as reliquias da terra.
For the waters of Dimon, are full of blood, For I will lay upon Dimon new troubles, —To the escaped of Moab, the lions, Even to the survivors on the soil.
