Isaías 13
1 Pezo de Babylonia, que viu Isaias, filho de Amós.
The burden of Babel, which Isaiah the sonne of Amoz did see.
2 Alçae uma bandeira sobre um alto monte, levantae a voz a elles: movei a mão em alto, para que entrem pelas portas dos principes.
Lift vp a standard vpon the hie mountaine: lift vp the voyce vnto them: wagge the hand, that they may goe into the gates of the nobles.
3 Já eu passei ordens aos meus sanctificados: já tambem chamei aos meus valentes para minha ira, os quaes são exaltados na minha magestade.
I haue commanded them, that I haue sanctified: and I haue called ye mightie to my wrath, and them that reioyce in my glorie.
4 Já se ouve a voz de arroido sobre os montes, como de muito povo: a voz do reboliço de reinos e de nações já congregadas. O Senhor dos Exercitos passa a mostra do exercito de guerra.
The noyse of a multitude is in the mountaines, like a great people: a tumultuous voyce of the kingdomes of the nations gathered together: the Lord of hostes nombreth the hoste of the battell.
5 Já vem da terra de longe desde a extremidade do céu, assim o Senhor, como os instrumentos da sua indignação, para destruir toda aquella terra.
They come from a farre countrey, from the end of the heauen: euen the Lord with the weapons of his wrath to destroy the whole land.
6 Uivae, pois, porque o dia do Senhor já está perto: já vem como assolação do Todo-poderoso.
Howle you, for the day of the Lord is at hande: it shall come as a destroier from the Almightie.
7 Pelo que todas as mãos se debilitarão, e o coração de todos os homens se desanimará.
Therefore shall all hands be weakened, and all mens hearts shall melt,
8 E assombrar-se-hão, e apoderar-se-hão d'elles dôres e ais, e se angustiarão, como a mulher com dores de parto; cada um se espantará do seu proximo; os seus rostos serão rostos flammejantes.
And they shalbe afraid: anguish and sorowe shall take them, and they shall haue paine, as a woman that trauaileth: euery one shall be amased at his neighbour, and their faces shalbe like flames of fire.
9 Eis que o dia do Senhor vem, horrendo, com furor e ira ardente, para pôr a terra em assolação, e destruir os peccadores d'ella.
Beholde, the day of the Lord commeth, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger to lay the land wast: and he shall destroy the sinners out of it.
10 Porque as estrellas dos céus e os seus astros não luzirão com a sua luz: o sol se escurecerá em nascendo, e a lua não resplandecerá com a sua luz.
For the starres of heauen and the planets thereof shall not giue their light: the sunne shalbe darkened in his going foorth, and the moone shall not cause her light to shine.
11 Porque visitarei sobre o mundo a maldade, e sobre os impios a sua iniquidade: e farei cessar a arrogancia dos atrevidos, e abaterei a soberba dos tyrannos.
And I will visite the wickednes vpon the worlde, and their iniquitie vpon the wicked, and I wil cause the arrogancie of the proud to cease, and will cast downe the pride of tyrants.
12 Farei que um homem seja mais precioso do que o oiro puro, e um homem mais do que o oiro fino d'Ophir.
I will make a man more precious then fine golde, euen a man aboue the wedge of golde of Ophir.
13 Pelo que farei estremecer os céus; e a terra se moverá do seu logar, por causa do furor do Senhor dos Exercitos, e por causa do dia da sua ardente ira.
Therefore I will shake the heauen, and the earth shall remooue out of her place in the wrath of the Lord of hostes, and in the day of his fierce anger.
14 E cada um será como a corça que foge, e como a ovelha que ninguem recolhe: cada um voltará para o seu povo, e cada um fugirá para a sua terra.
And it shall be as a chased doe, and as a sheepe that no man taketh vp. euery man shall turne to his owne people, and flee eche one to his owne lande.
15 Qualquer que fôr achado será traspassado; e qualquer que se ajuntar com elle cairá á espada.
Euery one that is founde, shall be striken through: and whosoeuer ioyneth himselfe, shall fal by the sworde.
16 E suas creanças serão despedaçadas perante os seus olhos: as suas casas serão saqueadas, e as suas mulheres forçadas.
Their children also shall be broken in pieces before their eyes: their houses shall be spoiled, and their wiues rauished.
17 Eis que eu despertarei contra elles os médos, que não farão caso da prata, nem tão pouco desejarão oiro
Beholde, I will stirre vp the Medes against them, which shall not regarde siluer, nor be desirous of golde.
18 E os seus arcos despedaçarão os mancebos, e não se compadecerão do fructo do ventre; o seu olho não poupará aos filhos.
With bowes also shall they destroy ye children, and shall haue no compassion vpon the fruit of the wombe, and their eies shall not spare the children.
19 Assim será Babylonia, o ornamento dos reinos, a gloria e a soberba dos chaldeos, como Sodoma e Gomorrha, quando Deus as transtornou.
And Babel the glorie of kingdomes, the beautie and pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as the destruction of God in Sodom and Gomorah.
20 Nunca mais haverá habitação n'ella, nem se habitará de geração em geração: nem o arabe armará ali a sua tenda, nem tão pouco os pastores ali farão as suas malhadas.
It shall not bee inhabited for euer, neither shall it be dwelled in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch his tents there, neither shall the shepheardes make their foldes there.
21 Mas as bestas feras do deserto repousarão ali, e as suas casas se encherão de horriveis animaes: e ali habitarão as avestruzinhas, e os satyros pularão ali
But Ziim shall lodge there, and their houses shall be ful of Ohim: Ostriches shall dwel there, and the Satyrs shall dance there.
22 E as bestas feras que uivam se apuparão umas ás outras nos seus palacios vazios, como tambem os dragões nos seus palacios de prazer; pois bem perto já vem chegando o seu tempo, e os seus dias se não prolongarão.
And Iim shall crie in their palaces, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and the time thereof is readie to come, and the daies thereof shall not be prolonged.
