Oséias 9
1 Não te alegres, ó Israel, até saltar, como os povos; porque pela fornicação abandonaste o teu Deus: amaste a paga de meretriz sobre todas as eiras de trigo.
Rejoice not, O Israel for ioy as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God: thou hast loued a rewarde vpon euery corne floore.
2 A eira e o lagar não os manterão; e o mosto lhe faltará.
The floore, and the wine presse shall not feede them, and the newe wine shall faile in her.
3 Na terra do Senhor não permanecerão; mas Ephraim tornará ao Egypto, e na Assyria comerão o immundo.
They wil not dwel in the Lordes lande, but Ephraim will returne to Egypt, and they will eate vncleane things in Asshur.
4 Não derramarão vinho ao Senhor, nem lhe serão suaves: os seus sacrificios lhes serão como pão de pranto; todos os que d'elle comerem serão immundos, porque o seu pão é por sua alma; não entrará na casa do Senhor
They shall not offer wine to the Lord, neither shall their sacrifices be pleasant vnto him: but they shall be vnto them as the bread of mourners: al that eate thereof, shalbe polluted: for their bread for their soules shall not come into the house of the Lord.
5 Que fareis vós no dia da solemnidade, e no dia da festa do Senhor?
What wil ye do then in the solemne day, and in the day of the feast of the Lord?
6 Porque, eis que elles se foram por causa da destruição: o Egypto os recolherá, Memphis os sepultará: o desejavel da sua prata as ortigas o possuirão por herança, espinhos haverá nas suas moradas.
For loe, they are gone from destruction: but Egypt shall gather them vp, and Memphis shall burie them: the nettle shall possesse the pleasant places of their siluer, and the thorne shall be in their tabernacles.
7 Já chegaram os dias da visitação, já chegaram os dias da retribuição; os de Israel o saberão: o propheta é louco, o homem de espirito é furioso; por causa da abundancia da tua iniquidade tambem abundará o odio.
The daies of visitation are come: the daies of recompence are come: Israel shall knowe it: the Prophet is a foole: the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquitie: therefore the hatred is great.
8 Ephraim era o vigia com o meu Deus, mas o propheta é como um laço de caçador de aves em todos os seus caminhos, odio na casa do seu Deus.
The watchman of Ephraim shoulde bee with my God: but the Prophet is the snare of a fouler in all his waies, and hatred in the House of his God.
9 Mui profundamente se corromperam, como nos dias de Gibeah: lembrar-se-ha das suas injustiças, visitará os peccados d'elles.
They are deepely set: they are corrupt as in the daies of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquitie, he will visite their sinnes.
10 Achei a Israel como uvas no deserto, vi a vossos paes como a fructa temporã da figueira no seu principio; porém entraram a Baalpeor, e se apartaram para essa vergonha, e se tornaram abominaveis como aquillo que amaram.
I found Israel like grapes in the wildernes: I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the figge tree at her first time: but they went to Baal-Peor, and separated themselues vnto that shame, and their abominations were according to their louers.
11 Quanto a Ephraim, a sua gloria como ave voará desde o nascimento, e desde o ventre, e desde o concebimento.
Ephraim their glorie shall flee away like a birde: from the birth and from the wombe, and from the conception.
12 Ainda que venham a crear seus filhos, comtudo os privarei d'elles d'entre os homens, porque tambem, ai d'elles! quando me apartar d'elles.
Though they bring vp their children, yet I will depriue them from being men: yea, woe to them, when I depart from them.
13 Ephraim, assim como vi a Tyro, plantada está n'um logar deleitoso; mas Ephraim tirará para fóra seus filhos para o matador.
Ephraim, as I sawe, is as a tree in Tyrus planted in a cottage: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murtherer.
14 Dá-lhes, ó Senhor; que pois lhes darás? dá-lhes uma madre que aborte e seios seccos.
O Lord, giue them: what wilt thou giue them? giue them a baren wombe and drie breasts.
15 Toda a sua malicia se acha em Gilgal, porque ali os aborreci pela malicia das suas obras: lançal-os-hei para fóra de minha casa; não os amarei mais: todos os seus principes são rebeldes.
All their wickednesse is in Gilgal: for there doe I hate them: for the wickednesse of their inuentions, I will cast them out of mine House: I will loue them no more: all their princes are rebels.
16 Ephraim foi ferido, seccou-se a sua raiz; não darão fructo: e, ainda que gerem, todavia matarei os desejaveis do seu ventre.
Ephraim is smitten, their roote is dried vp: they can bring no fruite: yea, though they bring foorth, yet will I slaie euen the dearest of their bodie.
17 O meu Deus os rejeitará, porque não o ouvem, e vagabundos andarão entre as nações.
My God will cast them away, because they did not obey him: and they shall wander among the nations.
