Oséias 5
1 Ouvi isto, ó sacerdotes, e escutae, ó casa de Israel, e escutae, ó casa do rei, porque a vós toca este juizo, visto que fostes um laço para Mispah, e rede estendida sobre Tabor.
'Hear this, O priests, and attend, O house of Israel, And, O house of the king, give ear, For the judgment [is] for you, For, a snare ye have been on Mizpah, And a net spread out on Tabor.
2 E, matando sacrificios errados, abaixaram até ao profundo; mas eu serei a correcção de todos elles.
And to slaughter sinners have gone deep, And I [am] a fetter to them all.
3 Eu conheço a Ephraim, e Israel não se me esconde; porque agora tens fornicado, ó Ephraim, e se contaminou Israel.
I have known Ephraim, And Israel hath not been hid from me, For now thou hast gone a-whoring, Ephraim, Defiled is Israel.
4 Não querem ordenar as suas acções afim de voltarem para o seu Deus, porque o espirito das fornicações está no meio d'elles, e não conhecem ao Senhor
They give not up their habitual doings, To turn back unto their God, For a spirit of whoredoms [is] in their midst, And Jehovah they have not known.
5 A soberba de Israel testificará pois no seu rosto: e Israel e Ephraim cairão pela sua injustiça, e Judah cairá juntamente com elles.
And humbled hath been the excellency of Israel to his face, And Israel and Ephraim stumble by their iniquity, Stumbled also hath Judah with them.
6 Então irão com as suas ovelhas, e com as suas vaccas, para buscarem ao Senhor, mas não o acharão: elle se retirou d'elles.
With their flock and with their herd, They go to seek Jehovah, and do not find, He hath withdrawn from them.
7 Aleivosamente se houveram contra o Senhor, porque geraram filhos estranhos: agora a lua nova os consumirá com as suas porções.
Against Jehovah they dealt treacherously, For strange sons they have begotten, Now consume them doth a month [with] their portions.
8 Tocae a buzina em Gibeath, a trombeta em Rama: gritae altamente em Beth-aven; após ti, a Benjamin.
Blow ye a cornet in Gibeah, a trumpet in Ramah, Shout, O Beth-Aven, after thee, O Benjamin.
9 Ephraim será para assolação no dia do castigo: entre as tribus de Israel manifestei o que certo está.
Ephraim is for a desolation in a day of reproof, Among the tribes of Israel I have made known a sure thing.
10 Os principes de Judah foram feitos como os que traspassam os limites: derramarei pois o meu furor sobre elles como agua.
Princes of Judah have been as those removing a border, On them I do pour out as water My wrath.
11 Ephraim opprimido e quebrantado é no juizo, porque assim quiz: andou após o mandamento.
Oppressed is Ephraim, broken in judgment, When he pleased he went after the command.
12 Portanto a Ephraim serei como a traça, e á casa de Judah como a podridão.
And I [am] as a moth to Ephraim, And as a rotten thing to the house of Judah.
13 Vendo pois Ephraim a sua enfermidade, e Judah a sua inchação, subiu Ephraim á Assyria e enviou ao rei Jareb; mas elle não poderá sarar-vos, nem vos curará a inchação.
And see doth Ephraim his sickness, and Judah his wound, And Ephraim goeth unto Asshur, And sendeth unto a warlike king, And he is not able to give healing to you, Nor doth he remove from you a scar.
14 Porque a Ephraim serei como um leão, e como um leãosinho á casa de Judah!: eu, eu o despedaçarei, e ir-me-hei embora; eu levarei, e não haverá quem livre
For I [am] as a lion to Ephraim, And as a young lion to the house of Judah, I — I tear and go, I bear away, and there is no deliverer.
15 Andarei, e tornarei ao meu logar, até que se reconheçam culpados e busquem a minha face: estando elles angustiados, de madrugada me buscarão.
I go — I turn back unto My place, Till that they are desolate, and have sought My face. In their distress they do seek Me speedily!'
