Gênesis 27
1 E aconteceu que, como Isaac envelheceu, e os seus olhos se escureceram, de maneira que não podia ver, chamou a Esaú, seu filho mais velho, e disse-lhe: Meu filho. E elle lhe disse: Eis-me aqui.
And it came to pass, when Isaac was old, and his eyes were too dim to see, that he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
2 E elle disse: Eis que já agora estou velho, e não sei o dia da minha morte;
And he said, Behold now, I am grown old, I know not the day of my death:
3 Agora pois, toma as tuas armas, a tua aljava e o teu arco, e sae ao campo, e apanha para mim alguma caça,
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and hunt for me some venison;
4 E faze-me um guisado saboroso, como eu o amo, e traze-m'o, para que eu coma; para que minha alma te abençoe, antes que morra.
And make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.
5 E Rebecca escutou quando Isaac fallava ao seu filho Esaú: e foi-se Esaú ao campo, para apanhar caça que havia de trazer.
And Rebekah heard as Isaac was speaking to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.
6 Então fallou Rebecca a Jacob seu filho, dizendo: Eis que tenho ouvido o teu pae que fallava com Esaú teu irmão, dizendo:
And Rebekah spoke unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,
7 Traze-me caça, e faze-me um guisado saboroso, para que eu coma, e te abençoe diante da face do Senhor, antes da minha morte.
Bring me venison, and make me savory food, that I may eat and bless thee before the Lord before my death.
8 Agora pois, filho meu, ouve a minha voz n'aquillo que eu te mando:
And now, my son, obey my voice in that which I command thee.
9 Vae agora ao rebanho, e traze-me de lá dois bons cabritos das cabras, e eu farei d'elles um guisado saboroso para teu pae, como elle ama,
Go, I pray thee, to the flock, and fetch me from there two good kids; and I will make them savory food for thy father, such as he loveth:
10 E leval-o-has a teu pae, para que o coma; para que te abençoe antes da sua morte.
And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat; for the sake that he may bless thee before his death.
11 Então disse Jacob a Rebecca, sua mãe: Eis que Esaú meu irmão é varão cabelludo. e eu varão liso;
And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:
12 Porventura me apalpará o meu pae, e serei em seus olhos enganador: assim trarei eu sobre mim maldição, e não benção.
Peradventure my father will feel me, and I shall then seem to him as a deceiver; and I would bring upon me a curse, and not a blessing.
13 E disse-lhe sua mãe: Meu filho, sobre mim seja a tua maldição; sómente obedece á minha voz, e vae, traze-m'os.
And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son; only obey my voice, and go fetch them to me.
14 E foi, e tomou-os, e trouxe-os a sua mãe; e sua mãe fez um guisado saboroso, como seu pae amava.
And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savory food, such as his father loved.
15 Depois tomou Rebecca os vestidos de gala de Esaú, seu filho mais velho, que tinha comsigo em casa, e vestiu a Jacob, seu filho menor;
And Rebekah took the goodly garments of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and clothed therewith Jacob her younger son;
16 E com as pelles dos cabritos das cabras cobriu as suas mãos e a lisura do seu pescoço;
And the skins of the kids she put upon his hands, and upon the smooth part of his neck;
17 E deu o guisado saboroso, e o pão que tinha preparado, na mão de Jacob seu filho.
And she gave the savory food and bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of Jacob her son.
18 E veiu elle a seu pae, e disse: Meu pae! E elle disse: Eis-me aqui; quem és tu, meu filho?
And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou my son?
19 E Jacob disse a seu pae: Eu sou Esaú, teu primogenito; tenho feito como me disseste: levanta-te agora, assenta-te, e come da minha caça, para que a tua alma me abençoe.
And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy first-born; I have done as thou didst speak to me: arise I pray thee, sit here and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
20 Então disse Isaac a seu filho: Como é isto, que tão cedo a achaste, filho meu? E elle disse: Porque o Senhor teu Deus a mandou ao meu encontro.
And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the Lord thy God brought it before me.
21 E disse Isaac a Jacob: Chega-te agora, para que te apalpe, meu filho, se és meu filho Esaú mesmo, ou não.
And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be truly my son Esau or not.
22 Então se chegou Jacob a Isaac seu pae, que o apalpou, e disse: A voz é a voz de Jacob, porém as mãos são as mãos de Esaú.
And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father, and he felt him; and he said, The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
23 E não o conheceu, porquanto as suas mãos estavam cabelludas, como as mãos de Esaú seu irmão: e abençoou-o.
And he recognized him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him.
24 E disse: És tu meu filho Esaú mesmo? E elle disse: Eu sou.
And he said, Art thou indeed my son Esau? and he said I am.
25 Então disse: Faze chegar isso perto de mim, para que coma da caça de meu filho; para que a minha alma te abençoe. E chegou-lh'o, e comeu; trouxe-lhe tambem vinho, e bebeu.
And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat, and he brought him wine, and he drank.
26 E disse-lhe Isaac seu pae: Ora chega-te, e beija-me, filho meu.
And Isaac his father said unto him, Come near, I pray thee, and kiss me, my son.
27 E chegou-se, e beijou-o; então cheirou o cheiro dos seus vestidos, e abençoou-o, e disse: Eis que o cheiro do meu filho é como o cheiro do campo, que o Senhor abençoou:
And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his garments and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is the smell of the field which the Lord hath blessed.
28 Assim pois te dê Deus do orvalho dos céus, e das gorduras da terra, e abundancia de trigo e de mosto:
And may God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine;
29 Sirvam-te povos, e nações se incurvem a ti: sê senhor de teus irmãos, e os filhos da tua mãe se incurvem a ti: malditos sejam os que te amaldiçoarem, e bemditos sejam os que te abençoarem.
Nations shall serve thee, and people bow down to thee; be lord over thy brethren, and thy mother's sons shall bow down to thee; cursed be they that curse thee, and blessed be they that bless thee.
30 E aconteceu que, acabando Isaac de abençoar a Jacob, apenas Jacob acabava de sair da face de Isaac seu pae, veiu Esaú, seu irmão, da sua caça;
And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarcely gone out from the presence of his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
31 E fez tambem elle um guisado saboroso, e trouxe-o a seu pae; e disse a seu pae: Levanta-te, meu pae, e come da caça de teu filho, para que me abençoe a tua alma.
And he also made savory food, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison, in order that thy soul may bless me.
32 E disse-lhe Isaac seu pae: Quem és tu? E elle disse: Eu sou teu filho, o teu primogenito, Esaú.
And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy first-born, Esau.
33 Então estremeceu Isaac de um estremecimento muito grande; e disse: Quem, pois, é aquelle que apanhou a caça, e m'a trouxe? e comi de tudo, antes que tu viesses, e abençoei-o: tambem será bemdito.
And Isaac trembled greatly, exceedingly, and said, Who was it? where is he that had hunted venison, and brought it me, and I ate of all before thou camest, and blessed him? yea, he shall also remain blessed.
34 Esaú, ouvindo as palavras de seu pae, bradou com grande e mui amargo brado, e disse a seu pae: Abençoa-me tambem a mim, meu pae.
When Esau heard the words of his father, he uttered a great and exceedingly bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, also me, my father.
35 E elle disse: Veiu o teu irmão com subtileza, e tomou a tua benção.
And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and took away thy blessing.
36 Então disse elle: Não foi o seu nome justamente chamado Jacob, por isso que já duas vezes me enganou? a minha primogenitura me tomou, e eis que agora me tomou a minha benção. Mais disse: Não reservaste pois para mim benção alguma?
And he said, Hath he been therefore named Jacob, because he hath supplanted me these two times? my right of first-born he took away; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing: and he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me.
37 Então respondeu Isaac, e disse a Esaú: Eis que o tenho posto por senhor sobre ti, e todos os seus irmãos lhe tenho dado por servos: e de trigo e de mosto o tenho fortalecido; --que te farei pois agora a ti, meu filho?
And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I endowed him: and what can I do now for thee, my son.
38 E disse Esaú a seu pae: Tens uma só benção, meu pae? abençoa-me tambem a mim, meu pae. E levantou Esaú a sua voz, e chorou.
And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou then but one blessing, my father? bless me, also me, my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
39 Então respondeu Isaac seu pae, e disse-lhe: Eis que nas gorduras da terra será a tua habitação, e do orvalho dos céus do alto serás abençoado,
And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and [blessed] by the dew of heaven from above;
40 E pela tua espada viverás, e ao teu irmão servirás. Acontecerá, porém, que quando te senhoreares, então sacudirás o seu jugo do teu pescoço.
And by thy sword shalt thou live, and thy brother shalt thou serve; and it shall come to pass, that when thou shalt have the dominion, thou canst break his yoke from off thy neck.
41 E aborreceu Esaú a Jacob por causa d'aquella benção, com que seu pae o tinha abençoado; e Esaú disse no seu coração: Chegar-se-hão os dias de luto de meu pae: e matarei a Jacob meu irmão.
And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father had blessed him; and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father will be at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
42 E foram denunciadas a Rebecca estas palavras de Esaú, seu filho mais velho; e ella enviou, e chamou a Jacob seu filho menor, e disse-lhe: Eis que Esaú teu irmão se consola a teu respeito, propondo-se matar-te.
And Rebekah was informed of the words of Esau her elder son: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau doth comfort himself, with regard to thee, purposing to kill thee.
43 Agora pois, meu filho, ouve a minha voz, e levanta-te; acolhe-te a Labão meu irmão, em Haran,
Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother, to Charan;
44 E mora com elle alguns dias, até que passe o furor de teu irmão;
And tarry with him a short time, until thy brother's fury turn away;
45 Até que se desvie de ti a ira de teu irmão, e se esqueça do que lhe fizeste: então enviarei, e te farei vir de lá; porque seria eu desfilhada tambem de vós ambos n'um mesmo dia?
Until thy brother's anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then will I send, and fetch thee from there; why should I be deprived of both of you at once in one day?
46 E disse Rebecca a Isaac: Enfadada estou da minha vida, por causa das filhas de Heth; se Jacob tomar mulher das filhas de Heth, como estas são das filhas d'esta terra, para que me será a vida?
And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob take a wife from the daughters of Heth, such as these, from the daughters of the land, what good will life do me?
