Ezequiel 21
1 E veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto contra Jerusalem, e derrama as tuas palavras contra os sanctuarios, e prophetiza contra a terra de Israel.
"Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and speak against the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel;
3 E dize á terra de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor: Eis me aqui contra ti, e tirarei a minha espada da sua bainha, e exterminarei do meio de ti o justo e o impio.
and tell the land of Israel, 'Thus says the LORD: "Look, I am against you, and will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked.
4 E, porquanto hei de exterminar do meio de ti o justo e o impio, por isso sairá a minha espada da sua bainha contra toda a carne, desde o sul até ao norte.
Seeing then that I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the Negev to the north:
5 E saberá toda a carne que eu, o Senhor, tirei a minha espada da sua bainha: nunca mais voltará a ella.
and all flesh shall know that I, the LORD, have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more."'
6 Tu, porém, ó filho do homem, suspira; suspira aos olhos d'elles, com quebrantamento dos lombos e com amargura.
"Sigh therefore, you son of man; with the breaking of your thighs and with bitterness you will sigh before their eyes.
7 E será que, quando elles te disserem: Porque suspiras tu? dirás: Pela fama, porque já vem; e todo o coração desmaiará, e todas as mãos se enfraquecerão, e todo o espirito se angustiará, e todos os joelhos se desfarão em aguas; eis que já vem, e se fará, diz o Senhor Jehovah.
It shall be, when they tell you, 'Why do you sigh?' that you shall say, 'Because of the news, for it comes; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: look, it comes, and it shall be done, says the LORD.'"
8 E veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
The word of the LORD came to me, saying,
9 Filho do homem, prophetiza, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor: dize: A espada, a espada está afiada, e tambem açacalada.
"Son of man, prophesy, and say, 'Thus says the LORD: Say, "A sword, a sword, it is sharpened, and also furbished;
10 Para matar com grande matança está afiada, para reduzir está açacalada: alegrar-nos-hemos pois? a vara de meu filho é que despreza todo o madeiro.
it is sharpened that it may make a slaughter; it is furbished that it may be as lightning: shall we then make mirth? The rod of my son, it condemns every tree.
11 E a deu a açacalar, para usar d'ella com a mão: esta espada está afiada, e está açacalada, para a metter na mão do que está para matar.
It is given to be furbished, that it may be handled: the sword, it is sharpened, yes, it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the killer."'
12 Grita e uiva, ó filho do homem, porque esta será contra o meu povo, será contra todos os principes de Israel: espantos terá o meu povo por causa da espada; portanto bate na côxa.
Cry and wail, son of man; for it is on my people, it is on all the princes of Israel: they are delivered over to the sword with my people; strike therefore on your thigh.
13 Quando se fez a prova que havia então? porventura tambem não haveria vara desprezadora? diz o Senhor Jehovah.
For there is a trial; and what if even the rod that condemns shall be no more?" says the LORD.
14 Tu pois, ó filho do homem, prophetiza, e bate com as mãos uma na outra; porque a espada até á terceira vez se dobrará: a espada é dos atravessados grandes, que entrará a elles até nas recamaras.
"You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike your hands together; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the deadly wounded: it is the sword of the great one who is deadly wounded, which enters into their rooms.
15 Para que desmaie o coração, e se multipliquem os tropeços, contra todas as suas portas puz a ponta da espada, a que foi feita para reduzir, e está reservada para matar!
I have set the threatening sword against all their gates, that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied: Ah. It is made as lightning, it is pointed for slaughter.
16 Ó espada, reune-te, vira-te para a direita; prepara-te, vira-te para a esquerda, para onde quer que o teu rosto se dirigir.
'Gather yourselves together, go to the right, set yourselves in array, go to the left, wherever your face is set.'
17 E tambem eu baterei com as minhas mãos uma na outra, e farei descançar a minha indignação: eu, o Senhor, o fallei.
I will also strike my hands together, and I will cause my wrath to rest: I, the LORD, have spoken it."
18 E veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:
The word of the LORD came to me again, saying,
19 Tu pois, ó filho do homem, propõe dois caminhos, por onde venha a espada do rei de Babylonia: ambos procederão de uma mesma terra, e escolhe uma banda; no cimo do caminho da cidade o escolhe.
"Also, you son of man, appoint two ways that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; they both shall come forth out of one land: and mark out a place, mark it out at the head of the way to the city.
20 Um caminho proporás, por onde virá a espada contra Rabba dos filhos d'Ammon, e contra Judah, em Jerusalem, a fortificada.
You shall appoint a way for the sword to come to Rabbah of the people of Ammon, and to Judah in Jerusalem, the fortified.
21 Porque o rei de Babylonia parará na encruzilhada, no cimo dos dois caminhos, para usar de adivinhações: aguçará as suas frechas, consultará os terafins, attentará para o figado
For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he shook the arrows back and forth, he consulted the teraphim, he looked in the liver.
22 Á sua direita estará a adivinhação sobre Jerusalem, para ordenar os arietes, para abrir a bocca á matança, para levantar a voz com jubilo, para pôr os arietes contra as portas, para levantar uma tranqueira, para edificar um baluarte.
In his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to set battering rams, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to set battering rams against the gates, to cast up mounds, to build forts.
23 Isto será aos olhos d'elles como adivinhação vã, porquanto foram ajuramentados com juramentos entre elles; porém elle se lembrará da maldade, para que sejam apanhados.
It shall be to them as a false divination in their sight, who have sworn oaths to them; but he brings iniquity to memory, that they may be taken.
24 Portanto assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Porquanto me fazeis lembrar da vossa maldade, descobrindo-se as vossas prevaricações, apparecendo os vossos peccados em todos os vossos tratos, porquanto viestes em memoria, sereis apanhados na mão.
"Therefore thus says the LORD: 'Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear; because you have come to memory, you shall be taken with the hand.
25 E tu, ó profano e impio principe d'Israel, cujo dia virá no campo da extrema maldade,
"'You, deadly wounded wicked one, the prince of Israel, whose day has come, in the time of the iniquity of the end,
26 Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Tira para fóra o diadema, e levanta de ti a corôa; esta não será a mesma; exalta ao humilde, e humilha ao soberbo.
thus says the LORD: "Remove the turban, and take off the crown; this shall be no more the same; exalt that which is low, and abase that which is high."
27 Ao revéz, ao revéz, ao revéz porei aquella corôa, e ella mais não será, até que venha aquelle a quem pertence de direito, e a elle a darei.
I will overturn, overturn, overturn it: this also shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.'
28 E tu, ó filho do homem, prophetiza, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah ácerca dos filhos de Ammon, e ácerca do seu desprezo: dize pois: A espada, a espada está desembainhada, açacalada para a matança, para consumir, para reluzir;
"You, son of man, prophesy, and say, 'Thus says the LORD concerning the people of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and say, "A sword, a sword is drawn, for the slaughter it is furbished, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning;
29 Entretanto que te vêem vaidade, entretanto que te adivinham mentira, para te pôrem aos pescoços dos traspassados pelos impios, cujo dia virá no tempo da extrema maldade.
while they see for you false visions, while they divine lies to you, to lay you on the necks of the wicked who are deadly wounded, whose day has come in the time of the iniquity of the end.
30 Torna a tua espada á sua bainha: no logar em que foste creado, na terra do teu nascimento, julgarei.
Cause it to return into its sheath. In the place where you were created, in the land of your birth, will I judge you.
31 E derramarei sobre ti a minha indignação, assoprarei contra ti o fogo do meu furor, entregar-te-hei nas mãos dos homens fogosos, inventores de destruição.
I will pour out my indignation on you; I will blow on you with the fire of my wrath; and I will deliver you into the hand of brutish men, skillful to destroy.
32 Para o fogo servirás de pasto: o teu sangue será no meio da terra: não virás em memoria; porque eu, o Senhor, o fallei.
You shall be for fuel to the fire; your blood shall be in the midst of the land; you shall be remembered no more: for I, the LORD, have spoken it."'"
