Ezequiel 20

1 E aconteceu, no setimo anno, no mez quinto, aos dez do mez, que vieram alguns dos anciãos de Israel, para consultarem o Senhor; e assentaram-se diante de mim.

And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, that certain men of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the Lord, and they sat down before me.

2 Então veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

3 Filho do homem, falla aos anciãos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Vindes vós consultar-me? vivo eu, que vós não me consultareis, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Is it to inquire of me that ye are coming? as I live, I will not let myself be inquired of by you, saith the Lord Eternal.

4 Porventura tu os julgarias, julgarias tu, ó filho do homem? notifica-lhes as abominações de seus paes;

Wilt thou take them to task, wilt thou take them to task, son of man? then cause them to know the abominations of their fathers;

5 E dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: No dia em que escolhi a Israel, levantei a minha mão para a semente da casa de Jacob, e me dei a conhecer a elles na terra do Egypto, e levantei a minha mão para elles, dizendo: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus;

And say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, On the day when I made choice of Israel, I lifted up my hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and I made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt: and I lifted up my hand unto them, saying, I am the Lord your God.

6 N'aquelle dia levantei a minha mão para elles, que os tiraria da terra do Egypto, para uma terra que já tinha previsto para elles, que mana leite e mel, que é a gloria de todas as terras.

On the same day I lifted up my hand unto them, to bring them forth from the land of Egypt into a land that I had selected for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is an ornament among all the countries.

7 Então lhes disse: Cada um lance de si as abominações dos seus olhos, e não vos contamineis com os idolos do Egypto: eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.

And I said unto them, Cast ye away every one of the abominations of his eyes, and on the idols of Egypt shall ye not defile yourselves: I am the Lord your God.

8 Porém rebellaram-se contra mim, e não me quizeram ouvir; ninguem lançava de si as abominações dos seus olhos, nem deixava os idolos do Egypto: então eu disse que derramaria sobre elles o meu furor, para cumprir a minha ira contra elles no meio da terra do Egypto.

But they rebelled against me, and they would not hearken unto me; they did not cast away every one the abominations of their eyes, and the idols of Egypt did they not forsake: and I thought then to pour out my fury over them, to let out all my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

9 Porém obrei por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado diante dos olhos das nações, no meio das quaes estavam, a cujos olhos eu me dei a conhecer a elles, para os tirar para fóra da terra do Egypto.

But I acted for the sake of my name, so as not to profane it before the eyes of the nations, in the midst of whom they were; because I had made myself known unto them before their eyes, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt.

10 E os tirei para fóra da terra do Egypto, e os levei ao deserto.

I therefore caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

11 E dei-lhes os meus estatutos, e lhes mostrei os meus juizos, os quaes, se os fizer o homem, viverá por elles.

And I gave them my statutes, and my ordinances made I known to them, which a man is to do, that he may live through them.

12 E tambem lhes dei os meus sabbados, para que servissem de signal entre mim e entre elles: para que soubessem que eu sou o Senhor que os sanctifica.

And also my sabbaths gave I unto them, to be as a sign between me and between them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctify them.

13 Mas a casa de Israel se rebellou contra mim no deserto, não andando nos meus estatutos, e rejeitando os meus juizos, os quaes, fazendo-os, o homem viverá por elles; e profanaram grandemente os meus sabbados; e eu disse que derramaria sobre elles o meu furor no deserto, para os consumir.

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness; in my statutes they walked not, and my ordinances they despised, which a man is to do, that he may live through them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned: and I then thought to pour out my fury over them in the wilderness, to make an end of them.

14 Porém obrei por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado diante dos olhos das nações perante cujos olhos os fiz sair.

But I acted for the sake of my name, so as not to profane it before the eyes of the nations, before whose eyes I had brought them forth.

15 E, comtudo, eu levantei a minha mão para elles no deserto, que não os faria entrar na terra que lhes tinha dado, que mana leite e mel, que é a gloria de todas as terras,

Yet did I also lift up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given [them], flowing with milk and honey, which is an ornament among all the countries.

16 Porque rejeitaram os meus juizos, e não andaram nos meus estatutos, e profanaram os meus sabbados; porque o seu coração andava após os seus idolos.

Because my ordinances they had despised, and in my statutes they had not walked, and my sabbaths they had profaned; for after their idols did their heart go.

17 Porém o meu olho lhes perdoou, para não os destruir nem os consumir no deserto.

Nevertheless my eye looked pityingly on them, so as not to destroy them, and I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.

18 Mas disse eu a seus filhos no deserto: Não andeis nos estatutos de vossos paes, nem guardeis os seus juizos, nem vos contamineis com os seus idolos.

And I said unto their children in the wilderness, In the statutes of your fathers shall ye not walk, and their ordinances shall ye not keep, and on their idols shall ye not defile yourselves.

19 Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus; andae nos meus estatutos, e guardae os meus juizos, e fazei-os.

I am the Lord your God: in my statutes must ye walk, and my ordinances must ye keep, and do them;

20 E sanctificae os meus sabbados, e servirão de signal entre mim e entre vós, para que saibaes que eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.

And my sabbaths must ye sanctify; and they shall be as a sign between me and between you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.

21 Mas tambem os filhos se rebellaram contra mim, e não andaram nos meus estatutos, nem guardaram os meus juizos para os fazer, os quaes, fazendo-os, o homem viverá por elles; tambem profanaram os meus sabbados; e eu disse que derramaria sobre elles o meu furor, para cumprir contra elles a minha ira no deserto.

Nevertheless the children rebelled against me; in my statutes did they not walk, and my ordinances they kept not to do them, which a man is to do, that he may live through them; my sabbaths they profaned: and I then thought to pour out my fury over them, to let out all my anger against them in the wilderness.

22 Porém retirei a minha mão, e obrei por amor do meu nome, para que não fosse profanado perante os olhos das nações, perante cujos olhos os fiz sair

But I withdrew my hand, and acted for the sake of my name, so as not to profane it before the eyes of the nations, before whose eyes I had brought them forth.

23 Tambem eu levantei a minha mão para elles no deserto, que os espalharia entre as nações, e os derramaria pelas terras;

I also lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the nations, and disperse them through the countries;

24 Porque não fizeram os meus juizos, e rejeitaram os meus estatutos, e profanaram os meus sabbados, e os seus olhos se iam após os idolos de seus paes.

Because my ordinances they had not executed, and my statutes they had despised, and my sabbaths they had profaned, and after the idols of their fathers their eyes were directed.

25 Pelo que tambem eu lhes dei estatutos que não eram bons, como tambem juizos pelos quaes não haviam de viver;

And I also let them follow statutes that were not good, and ordinances whereby they could not live;

26 E os contaminei em os seus dons, porquanto faziam passar pelo fogo tudo o que abre a madre: para os assolar, para que soubessem que eu sou o Senhor.

And I let them be defiled through their gifts, in that they caused to pass [through the fire] all that openeth the womb, in order that I might destroy them, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord.

27 Portanto falla á casa de Israel, ó filho do homem, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ainda até n'isto me blasphemaram vossos paes, que, com uma transgressão, transgrediram contra mim

Therefore, speak unto the house of Israel, O son of man, and say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Yet in this too did your fathers blaspheme me, by their committing a trespass against me:

28 Porque, havendo-os eu introduzido na terra sobre a qual eu levantara a minha mão que lh'a havia de dar, então olharam para todo o outeiro alto, e para toda a arvore espessa, e sacrificaram ali os seus sacrificios, e apresentaram ali a provocação das suas offertas, pozeram ali os seus cheiros suaves, e ali derramaram as suas libações.

When I had brought them into the land, for which I had lifted up my hand to give it to them, they saw every high hill, and all the thick-branched trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and presented there their provoking offerings, and they brought there their sweet savor, and poured out there their drink-offerings.

29 E eu lhes disse: Que alto é este, aonde vós ides? e seu nome foi chamado Bamah até ao dia de hoje.

Then said I unto them, What is this high-place whereunto ye go? And its name was called “The height” until this day.

30 Portanto dize á casa de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Estaes vós contaminados no caminho de vossos paes? e fornicaes após as suas abominações?

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Ha! do you pollute yourselves after the manner of your fathers; and after their abominations do ye go astray?

31 E, quando offereceis os vossos dons, e fazeis passar os vossos filhos pelo fogo, então vós estaes contaminados com todos os vossos idolos, até este dia? e vós me consultarieis, ó casa de Israel? vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jehovah, que vós me não consultareis.

And when ye offer up your gifts, when ye make your sons pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even until this day: and I should allow myself to be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord Eternal, I will not let myself be inquired of by you.

32 E o que subiu ao vosso espirito de maneira alguma succederá, quando dizeis: Seremos como as nações, como as demais gerações da terra, servindo ao madeiro e á pedra

And that which cometh up into your mind shall not at all come to pass, [namely, ] that ye say, We will be like the nations, like the families of the [other] countries, to serve wood and stone.

33 Vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jehovah, que com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com indignação derramada, hei de reinar sobre vós

As I live, saith the Lord Eternal, surely, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

34 E vos tirarei d'entre os povos, e vos congregarei das terras nas quaes andaes espalhados, com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com indignação derramada.

And I will bring you out from the people, and I will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with [my] fury poured out.

35 E vos levarei ao deserto dos povos; e ali entrarei em juizo comvosco cara a cara.

And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and I will hold judgment over you there, face to face.

36 Como já entrei em juizo com vossos paes, no deserto da terra do Egypto, assim entrarei em juizo comvosco, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

As I held judgment over your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I hold judgment over you, saith the Lord Eternal.

37 E vos farei passar debaixo da vara, e vos farei entrar no vinculo do concerto.

And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;

38 E separarei d'entre vós os rebeldes, e os que prevaricaram contra mim; da terra das suas peregrinações os tirarei, mas á terra de Israel não voltarão: e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.

And I will separate from you those that have rebelled, and those that have transgressed against me: out of the country where they sojourn will I cause them to go forth, but into the land of Israel shall not one [of them] enter; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

39 E, quanto a vós, ó casa de Israel, assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ide, servi cada um os seus idolos, pois que a mim me não quereis ouvir; não profaneis mais o meu sancto nome com as vossas dadivas e com os vossos idolos.

As for you, O house of Israel, thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter [also], if ye will not hearken unto me; but my holy name do not profane any more with your gifts, and with your idols.

40 Porque no meu sancto monte, no monte alto de Israel, diz o Senhor Jehovah, ali me servirá toda a casa de Israel, toda ella n'aquella terra: ali me deleitarei n'elles, e ali demandarei as vossas offertas alçadas, e as primicias das vossas dadivas, com todas as vossas coisas sanctas.

For on my holy mountain, on the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord Eternal, there shall serve me all the house of Israel, altogether, in the land: there will I accept them in favor, and there will I require your heave-offerings, and the first-fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

41 Com cheiro suave me deleitarei em vós, quando eu vos tirar d'entre os povos e vos congregar das terras em que andaes espalhados; e serei sanctificado em vós perante os olhos das nações.

With your sweet savor will I accept you in favor, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered: and I will be sanctified through you before the eyes of the nations.

42 E sabereis que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu vos tiver tornado a trazer á terra de Israel, á terra pela qual levantei a minha mão para dal-a a vossos paes.

And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for which I have lifted up my hand to give it to your fathers.

43 E ali vos lembrareis de vossos caminhos, e de todos os vossos tratos com que vos contaminastes, e tereis nojo de vós mesmos, por todas as vossas maldades que tendes commettido.

And ye shall remember there your ways, and all your doings, whereby ye have been defiled; and ye shall loathe yourselves, because of all your evil deeds that ye have committed.

44 E sabereis que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu obrar comvosco por amor do meu nome; não conforme os vossos maus caminhos, nem conforme os vossos tratos corruptos, ó casa de Israel, disse o Senhor Jehovah.

And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I deal with you for the sake of my name, not in accordance with your wicked ways, and in accordance with your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord Eternal.

45 E veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

46 Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto para o caminho do sul, e derrama as tuas palavras contra o sul, e prophetiza contra o bosque do campo do sul.

Son of man, set thy face in the direction toward the south, and preach toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the field in the south.

47 E dize ao bosque do sul: Ouve a palavra do Senhor: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Eis que accenderei em ti um fogo que em ti consumirá toda a arvore verde e toda a arvore secca: não se apagará a chamma flammejante, antes com ella se queimarão todos os rostos, desde o sul até ao norte.

And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the Lord, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour in thee every green tree, and every dry tree: the glowing flame shall not be quenched, and there shall be burnt therein all faces from the south to the north.

48 E verá toda a carne que eu, o Senhor, o accendi: não se apagará.

And all flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

49 Então disse eu: Ah! Senhor Jehovah! elles dizem de mim: Porventura não falla este por parabolas?

Then said I, Ah Lord Eternal! they say of me, Behold, he speaketh but in parables!
