Êxodo 34

1 Então disse o Senhor a Moysés: Lavra-te duas taboas de pedra, como as primeiras; e eu escreverei nas taboas as mesmas palavras que estavam nas primeiras taboas, que tu quebraste.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thyself two tables of stone like unto the first; and I will write upon these tables the words which were on the first tables, which thou didst break.

2 E apparelha-te para ámanhã, para que subas pela manhã ao monte de Sinai, e ali põe-te diante de mim no cume do monte.

And be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me on the top of the mount.

3 E ninguem suba comtigo, e tambem ninguem appareça em todo o monte; nem ovelhas nem bois se apascentem defronte do monte.

And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks or herds feed near this mount.

4 Então elle lavrou duas taboas de pedra, como as primeiras; e levantou-se Moysés pela manhã de madrugada, e subiu ao monte de Sinai, como o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado: e tomou as duas taboas de pedra na sua mão.

And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tables of stone.

5 E o Senhor desceu n'uma nuvem, e se poz ali junto a elle: e elle apregoou o nome do Senhor.

And the Lord descended in a cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed, by name, the Lord.

6 Passando pois o Senhor perante a sua face, clamou: Jehovah o Senhor, Deus misericordioso e piedoso, tardio em iras e grande em beneficencia e verdade;

And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord is the immutable, eternal Being, the omnipotent God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in beneficence and truth;

7 Que guarda a beneficencia em milhares; que perdoa a iniquidade, e a transgressão, e o peccado; que o culpado não tem por innocente; que visita a iniquidade dos paes sobre os filhos e sobre os filhos dos filhos até á terceira e quarta geração.

Keeping mercy unto the thousandth [generation], forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

8 E Moysés apressou-se, e inclinou a cabeça á terra, encurvou-se,

And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and prostrated himself.

9 E disse: Senhor, se agora tenho achado graça aos teus olhos, vá agora o Senhor no meio de nós: porque este é povo obstinado; porém perdoa a nossa iniquidade e o nosso peccado, e toma-nos pela tua herança.

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy eyes, O Lord, let the Lord, I pray thee, go among us; even because it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon thou our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thy heritage.

10 Então disse: Eis que eu faço um concerto; farei diante de todo o teu povo maravilhas que nunca foram feitas em toda a terra, nem entre gente alguma: de maneira que todo este povo, em cujo meio tu estás, veja a obra do Senhor; porque coisa terrivel é o que faço comtigo.

And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people will I perform wonders, such as have not been done on all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people amongst whom thou art shall see the work of the Lord; for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

11 Guarda o que eu te ordeno hoje: eis que eu lançarei fóra diante de ti os amorrheos, e os cananeos, e os hetheos, e os pereseos, e os heveos e os jebuseos.

Observe thou that which I command thee this day; behold, I will drive out before thee the Emorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

12 Guarda-te que não faças concerto com os moradores da terra aonde has de entrar; para que não seja por laço no meio de ti.

Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land against which thou goest up, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee;

13 Mas os seus altares transtornareis, e as suas estatuas quebrareis, e os seus bosques cortareis.

But their altars shall ye destroy, and their statues shall ye break, and their groves shall ye cut down.

14 Porque te não inclinarás diante d'outro deus: pois o nome do Senhor é Zeloso: Deus zeloso é elle:

For thou shalt worship no other God; for the Lord whose name is Watchful, is a watchful God.

15 Para que não faças concerto com os moradores da terra, e não forniquem após os seus deuses, nem sacrifiquem aos seus deuses, e tu, convidado d'elles, comas dos seus sacrificios,

Make thou then no covenant with the inhabitants of the land; lest that, if they go astray after their gods, and sacrifice unto their gods, any one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

16 E tomes mulheres das suas filhas para os teus filhos, e suas filhas, fornicando após os seus deuses, façam que tambem teus filhos forniquem após os seus deuses.

And lest thou take of his daughters unto thy sons; and when his daughters go astray after their gods, they make thy sons also go astray after their gods.

17 Não te farás deuses de fundição.

Thou shalt not make unto thyself any molten gods.

18 A festa dos pães asmos guardarás; sete dias comerás pães asmos, como te tenho ordenado, ao tempo apontado do mez de Abib: porque no mez d'Abib sais-te do Egypto.

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I have commanded thee, in the time of the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib thou wentest forth out of Egypt.

19 Tudo o que abre a madre meu é, até todo o teu gado, que seja macho, abrindo a madre de vaccas e d'ovelhas;

All that openeth the womb is mine; and every firstling that is a male among thy cattle, whether ox or lamb.

20 O burro porém, que abrir a madre, resgatarás com cordeiro: mas, se o não resgatares, cortar-lhe-has a cabeça: todo o primogenito de teus filhos resgatarás. E ninguem apparecerá vazio diante de mim.

But the firstling of an ass shalt thou redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck; all the first-born of thy sons shalt thou redeem; and none shall appear before me empty.

21 Seis dias obrarás, mas ao setimo dia descançarás: na aradura e na sega descançarás.

Six days thou mayest work, but on the seventh day shalt thou rest: even in ploughing time and in harvest shalt thou rest.

22 Tambem guardarás a festa das semanas, que é a festa das primicias da sega do trigo, e a festa da colheita á volta do anno.

And the feast of weeks shalt thou observe, with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest; and the feast of ingathering at the closing of the year.

23 Tres vezes no anno todo o macho entre ti apparecerá perante o Senhor, Jehovah, Deus d'Israel;

Thrice in the year shall all thy males appear before the Lord, the Eternal, the God of Israel.

24 Porque eu lançarei fóra as nações de diante de ti, e alargarei o teu termo: ninguem cubiçará a tua terra, quando subires para apparecer tres vezes no anno diante do Senhor teu Deus.

For I will cast out nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders; yet shall no man desire thy land, when thou goest up to appear in the presence of the Lord thy God thrice in the year.

25 Não sacrificarás o sangue do meu sacrificio com pão levedado, nem o sacrificio da festa da paschoa ficará da noite para a manhã.

Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall be left unto the morning the sacrifice of the feast of the passover.

26 As primicias dos primeiros fructos da tua terra trarás á casa do Senhor teu Deus: não cozerás o cabrito no leite de sua mãe

The first of the first-fruits of thy land shalt thou bring unto the house of the Lord thy God: thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

27 Disse mais o Senhor a Moysés: Escreve-te estas palavras: porque conforme ao teor d'estas palavras tenho feito concerto comtigo e com Israel.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thee down these words; for after the tenor of these words have I made with thee a covenant and with Israel.

28 E esteve ali com o Senhor quarenta dias e quarenta noites: não comeu pão, nem bebeu agua, e escreveu nas taboas as palavras do concerto, os dez mandamentos.

And he remained there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; bread he did not eat, and water he did not drink; and he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

29 E aconteceu que, descendo Moysés do monte Sinai (e Moysés trazia as duas taboas do testemunho em sua mão, quando desceu do monte), Moysés não sabia que a pelle do seu rosto resplandecia, depois que fallara com elle

And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai, with the two tables of the testimony in Moses' hand, when be came down from the mount, that Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone, because he had spoken with him.

30 Olhando pois Aarão e todos os filhos d'Israel para Moysés, eis que a pelle do seu rosto resplandecia; pelo que temeram de chegar-se a elle.

And Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, and, behold, the skin of his face shone: and they were afraid to come nigh unto him.

31 Então Moysés os chamou, e Aarão e todos os principes da congregação tornaram-se a elle: e Moysés lhes fallou.

But Moses called unto them, and then returned unto him Aaron and all the princes of the congregation: and Moses spoke to them.

32 Depois chegaram tambem todos os filhos d'Israel: e elle lhes ordenou tudo o que o Senhor fallára com elle no monte Sinai.

And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he commanded them all that which the Lord had spoken with him on mount Sinai.

33 Assim acabou Moysés de fallar com elles, e tinha posto um véu sobre o seu rosto.

And when Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail over his face.

34 Porém, entrando Moysés perante o Senhor, para fallar com elle, tirava o véu até que sahia: e, saido, fallava com os filhos de Israel o que lhe era ordenado.

But when Moses went in before the Lord to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out; and then he came out, and spoke unto the children of Israel that which he had been commanded.

35 Assim pois viam os filhos d'Israel o rosto de Moysés, que resplandecia a pelle do rosto de Moysés: e tornou Moysés a pôr o véu sobre o seu rosto, até que entrava para fallar com elle.

And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail again over his face, until he went in to speak with him.
