Êxodo 22
1 Se alguem furtar boi ou ovelha, e o degolar ou vender, por um boi pagará cinco bois, e pela ovelha quatro ovelhas.
"If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it, or sells it; he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
2 Se o ladrão fôr achado na mina, e fôr ferido, e morrer, o que o feriu não será culpado do sangue.
If the thief is found breaking in, and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt of bloodshed for him.
3 Se o sol houver saido sobre elle, será culpado do sangue: totalmente o restituirá: e se não tiver com que pagar, será vendido por seu furto.
If the sun has risen on him, there shall be guilt of bloodshed for him; he shall make restitution. If he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
4 Se o furto fôr achado vivo na sua mão, seja boi, ou jumento, ou ovelha, pagará o dobro.
If the stolen property is found in his hand alive, whether it is ox, donkey, or sheep, he shall pay double.
5 Se alguem fizer pastar n'um campo ou n'uma vinha, e largar a sua besta, para comer no campo de outro, o melhor do seu proprio campo e o melhor da sua propria vinha restituirá.
"If a man causes a field or vineyard to be eaten, and lets his animal loose, and it grazes in another man's field, he shall make restitution from his own field according to his produce; and if he shall have grazed over the whole field, he shall make restitution from the best of his own field, and from the best of his own vineyard.
6 Se arrebentar um fogo, e prender os espinhos, e abrazar a meda de trigo, ou a seara, ou o campo, aquelle que accendeu o fogo totalmente pagará o queimado.
"If fire breaks out, and catches in thorns so that the shocks of grain, or the standing grain, or the field are consumed; he who kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
7 Se alguem der prata, os vasos ao seu proximo a guardar, e fôr furtado da casa d'aquelle homem, se o ladrão se achar, pagará o dobro.
"If a man delivers to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man's house; if the thief is found, he shall pay double.
8 Se o ladrão não se achar, então o dono da casa será levado diante dos juizes, a ver se não metteu a sua mão na fazenda do seu proximo.
If the thief isn't found, then the master of the house shall come near to God, to find out if he hasn't put his hand to his neighbor's goods.
9 Sobre todo o negocio de injustiça, sobre boi, sobre jumento, sobre gado miudo, sobre vestido, sobre toda a coisa perdida, de que alguem disser que é sua a causa de ambos virá perante os juizes, aquelle a quem condemnarem os juizes o pagará em dobro ao seu proximo.
For every matter of trespass, whether it be for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any kind of lost thing, about which one says, 'This is mine,' the cause of both parties shall come before God. He whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor.
10 Se alguem der a seu proximo a guardar um jumento, ou boi, ou ovelha, ou alguma besta, e morrer, ou fôr dilacerado, ou afugentado, ninguem o vendo,
"If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep, and it dies or is injured, or driven away, no man seeing it;
11 Então haverá juramento do Senhor entre ambos, que não metteu a sua mão na fazenda do seu proximo: e seu dono o acceitará, e o outro não o restituirá.
the oath of God shall be between them both, whether he hasn't put his hand to his neighbor's goods; and its owner shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.
12 Mas se lhe fôr furtado, o pagará ao seu dono.
But if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to its owner.
13 Porém se lhe fôr dilacerado, tral-o-ha em testemunho d'isso, e não pagará o dilacerado.
If it is torn in pieces, let him bring it for evidence. He shall not make good that which was torn.
14 E se alguem a seu proximo pedir alguma coisa, e fôr damnificada ou morta, não estando presente o seu dono, certamente a restituirá.
"If a man borrows anything of his neighbor's, and it is injured, or dies, its owner not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.
15 Se o seu dono esteve presente, não a restituirá: se foi alugada, será pelo seu aluguer.
If its owner is with it, he shall not make it good. If it is a leased thing, it came for its lease.
16 Se alguem enganar alguma virgem, que não fôr desposada, e se deitar com ella, certamente a dotará por sua mulher.
"If a man entices a virgin who isn't pledged to be married, and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
17 Se seu pae inteiramente recusar dar-lh'a, dará dinheiro conforme ao dote das virgens.
If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
18 A feiticeira não deixarás viver.
"You shall not allow a sorceress to live.
19 Todo aquelle que se deitar com animal, certamente morrerá.
"Whoever has sex with an animal shall surely be put to death.
20 O que sacrificar aos deuses, e não só ao Senhor, será morto.
"He who sacrifices to another god, except to the LORD only, shall be utterly destroyed.
21 O estrangeiro não affligirás, nem o opprimirás; pois estrangeiros fostes na terra do Egypto.
"You shall not wrong a foreigner, neither shall you oppress him, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
22 A nenhuma viuva nem orphão affligireis.
"You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child.
23 Se de alguma maneira os affligires, e elles clamarem a mim, eu certamente ouvirei o seu clamor,
If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry;
24 E a minha ira se accenderá, e vos matarei á espada; e vossas mulheres ficarão viuvas, e vossos filhos orphãos.
and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
25 Se emprestares dinheiro ao meu povo, ao pobre que está comtigo, não te haverás com elle como um usurario; não lhe imporeis usura.
"If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor; neither shall you charge him interest.
26 Se tomares em penhor o vestido do teu proximo, lh'o restituirás antes do pôr do sol,
If you take your neighbor's garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down,
27 Porque aquella é a sua cobertura, e o vestido da sua pelle; em que se deitaria? será pois que, quando clamar a mim, eu o ouvirei, porque sou misericordioso.
for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious.
28 Os juizes não amaldiçoarás, e o principe d'entre o teu povo não maldirás.
"You shall not blaspheme God, nor curse a ruler of your people.
29 As tuas primicias, e os teus licores não dilatarás: o primogenito de teus filhos me darás.
"You shall not delay to offer from your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. "You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.
30 Assim farás dos teus bois e das tuas ovelhas: sete dias estarão com sua mãe, e ao oitavo dia m'os darás.
You shall do likewise with your cattle and with your sheep. Seven days it shall be with its mother, then on the eighth day you shall give it to me.
31 E ser-me-heis homens sanctos; portanto não comereis carne despedaçada no campo: aos cães a lançareis.
"You shall be holy men to me, therefore you shall not eat any flesh that is torn by animals in the field. You shall cast it to the dogs.
