Êxodo 13

1 Então fallou o Senhor a Moysés, dizendo:

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

2 Sanctifica-me todo o primogenito, o que abrir toda a madre entre os filhos de Israel, de homens e de animaes: porque meu é.

Sanctify to me every firstborn, first produced, opening every womb amongst the children of Israel both of man and beast: it is mine.

3 E Moysés disse ao povo: Lembrae-vos d'este mesmo dia, em que saistes do Egypto, da casa da servidão; pois com mão forte o Senhor vos tirou d'aqui: portanto não comereis pão levedado.

And Moses said to the people, Remember this day, in which you came forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, for with a strong hand the Lord brought you forth thence; and leaven shall not be eaten.

4 Hoje, no mez de Abib, vós sahis.

For on this day you go forth in the month of new [corn].

5 E acontecerá que, quando o Senhor te houver mettido na terra dos cananeos, e dos hetheos, e dos amorrheos, e dos heveos, e dos jebuzeos, a qual jurou a teus paes que t'a daria, terra que mana leite e mel, guardarás este culto n'este mez.

And it shall come to pass when the Lord your God shall have brought you into the land of the Chananites, and the Chettites, and Amorites, and Evites, and Jebusites, and Gergesites, and Pherezites, which he sware to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall perform this service in this month.

6 Sete dias comerãs pães asmos; e ao setimo dia haverá festa ao Senhor.

Six days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day is a feast to the Lord.

7 Sete dias se comerão pães asmos, e o levedado não se verá comtigo, nem ainda fermento será visto em todos os teus termos.

Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread; nothing leavened shall be seen with you, neither shall you have leaven in all your borders.

8 E n'aquelle mesmo dia farás saber a teu filho, dizendo: Isto é pelo que o Senhor me tem feito, quando eu sahi do Egypto.

And you shall tell your son in that day, saying, Therefore the Lord dealt thus with me, as I was going out of Egypt.

9 E te será por signal sobre tua mão, e por lembrança entre teus olhos; para que a lei do Senhor esteja em tua bocca: porquanto com mão forte o Senhor te tirou do Egypto.

And it shall be to you a sign upon your hand and a memorial before your eyes, that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth, for with a strong hand the Lord God brought you out of Egypt.

10 Portanto tu guardarás este estatuto a seu tempo, de anno em anno.

And preserve you this law according to the times of the seasons, from year to year.

11 Tambem acontecerá que, quando o Senhor te houver mettido na terra dos cananeos, como jurou a ti e a teus paes, quando t'a houver dado,

And it shall come to pass when the Lord your God shall bring you into the land of the Chananites, as he sware to your fathers, and shall give it you,

12 Farás passar ao Senhor tudo o que abrir a madre, e tudo o que abrir a madre do fructo dos animaes que terás: os machos serão do Senhor.

that you shall set apart every [offspring] opening the womb, the males to the Lord, every one that opens the womb out of the herds or amongst your cattle, as many as you shall have: you shall sanctify the males to the Lord.

13 Porém tudo o que abrir a madre da jumenta, resgatarás com cordeiro; e se o não resgatares cortar-lhe-has a cabeça: mas todo o primogenito do homem entre teus filhos resgatarás.

Every [offspring] opening the womb of the ass you shall change for a sheep; and if you will not change it, you shall redeem it: every firstborn of man of your sons shall you redeem.

14 Se acontecer que teu filho no tempo futuro te pergunte, dizendo: Que é isto? dir-lhe-has: O Senhor nos tirou com mão forte do Egypto, da casa da servidão.

And if your son should ask you hereafter, saying, What is this? then you shall say to him, With a strong hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

15 Porque succedeu que, endurecendo-se Pharaó, para não nos deixar ir, o Senhor matou todos os primogenitos na terra do Egypto, do primogenito do homem até ao primogenito dos animaes: por isso eu sacrifico ao Senhor os machos de tudo que abre a madre; porém a todo o primogenito de meus filhos eu resgato.

And when Pharao hardened [his heart so as not] to send us away, he killed every firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast; therefore do I sacrifice every [offspring] that opens the womb, the males to the Lord, and every firstborn of my sons I will redeem.

16 E será por signal sobre tua mão, e por frontaes entre os teus olhos; porque o Senhor nos tirou do Egypto com mão forte.

And it shall be for a sign upon your hand, and immovable before your eyes, for with a strong hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt.

17 E aconteceu, que quando Pharaó deixou ir o povo, Deus não os levou pelo caminho da terra dos philisteos, que estava mais perto; porque Deus disse: Para que porventura o povo não se arrependa, vendo a guerra, e se tornem ao Egypto.

And when Pharao sent forth the people, God led them not by the way of the land of the Phylistines, because it was near; for God said, Lest at any time the people repent when they see war, and return to Egypt.

18 Mas Deus fez rodear o povo pelo caminho no deserto do Mar Vermelho: e subiram os filhos de Israel da terra do Egypto armados.

And God led the people round by the way to the wilderness, to the Red Sea: and in the fifth generation the children of Israel went up out of the land of Egypt.

19 E tomou Moysés os ossos de José comsigo, porquanto havia este estreitamente ajuramentado aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Certamente Deus vos visitará; fazei pois subir d'aqui os meus ossos comvosco.

And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had solemnly adjured the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones hence with you.

20 Assim se partiram de Succoth, e acamparam-se em Etham, á entrada do deserto.

And the children of Israel departed from Socchoth, and encamped in Othom by the wilderness.

21 E o Senhor ia adiante d'elles, de dia n'uma columna de nuvem, para os guiar pelo caminho, e de noite n'uma columna de fogo, para os allumiar, para que caminhassem de dia e de noite.

And God led them, in the day by a pillar of cloud, to show them the way, and in the night by a pillar of fire.

22 Nunca tirou de diante da face do povo a columna de nuvem, de dia, nem a columna de fogo, de noite.

And the pillar of cloud failed not by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, before all the people.
