Ester 8

1 N'aquelle mesmo dia deu o rei Assuero á rainha Esther a casa d'Haman, inimigo dos judeos: e Mardoqueo veiu perante o rei; porque Esther tinha declarado o que lhe era.

On the day that he gave the king Ahasuerus to Esther the queen [the] house of Haman [the] opposer (of the Jews *Q(k)*) and Mordecai he came before the king for she had told Esther what? [was] he to her.

2 E tirou o rei o seu annel, que tinha tomado a Haman, e o deu a Mardoqueo. E Esther ordenou a Mardoqueo sobre a casa d'Haman.

And he removed the king signet-ring his which he had taken away from Haman and he gave it to Mordecai and she appointed Esther Mordecai over [the] house of Haman.

3 Fallou mais Esther perante o rei, e se lhe lançou aos pés: e chorou, e lhe supplicou que revogasse a maldade d'Haman, o agagita, e o seu intento que tinha intentado contra os judeos.

And she repeated Esther and she spoke before the king and she fell before feet his and she wept and she sought favor to him to take away [the] evil of Haman the Agagite and plan his which he had planned on the Jews.

4 E estendeu o rei para Esther o sceptro de oiro. Então Esther se levantou, e se poz em pé perante o rei,

And he extended the king to Esther [the] scepter of gold and she arose Esther and she stood before the king.

5 E disse: Se bem parecer ao rei, e se eu achei graça perante elle, e se este negocio é recto diante do rei, e se eu lhe agrado aos seus olhos, escreva-se que se revoguem as cartas e o intento d'Haman filho d'Hammedatha, o agagita, as quaes elle escreveu para lançar a perder os judeos, que ha em todas as provincias do rei.

And she said if [is] on the king good and if I have found favor before him and it is proper the matter before the king and [am] good I in view his let it be written to revoke the letters [the] plan of Haman [the] son of Hammedatha the Agagite which he wrote to destroy the Jews who [are] in all [the] provinces of the king.

6 Porque como poderei ver o mal que sobrevirá ao meu povo? e como poderei ver a perdição da minha geração?

For how? will I be able and I will look on the evil which it will find people my and how? will I be able and I will look on [the] destruction of kindred my.

7 Então disse o rei Assuero á rainha Esther e ao judeo Mardoqueo: Eis-que dei a Esther a casa de Haman, e a elle enforcaram n'uma forca, porquanto quizera pôr as mãos nos judeos.

And he said the king Ahasuerus to Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew here! [the] house of Haman I have given to Esther and him they have hanged on the gallows on that he stretched out hand his (on the Jews. *Q(k)*)

8 Escrevei pois aos judeos, como parecer bem aos vossos olhos, em nome do rei, e sellae-o com o annel do rei; porque a escriptura que se escreve em nome do rei, e se sella com o annel do rei, não é para revogar.

And you write on the Jews according to the good in view your in [the] name of the king and seal [it] with [the] signet-ring of the king for a writing which [is] written in [the] name of the king and it is sealed with [the] signet-ring of the king not to revoke.

9 Então foram chamados os escrivães do rei, n'aquelle mesmo tempo, e no mez terceiro (que é o mez de sivan), aos vinte e tres do mesmo, e se escrevou conforme a tudo quanto ordenou Mardoqueo aos judeos, como tambem aos satrapas, e aos governadores, e aos maioraes das provincias, que se estendem da India até Ethiopia, cento e vinte e sete provincias, a cada provincia segundo a sua escriptura, e a cada povo conforme a sua lingua: como tambem aos judeos segundo a sua escriptura, e conforme a sua lingua.

And they were summoned [the] scribes of the king at the time that in the month third that [is] [the] month of Sivan on [day] three and twenty in it and it was written according to all that he commanded Mordecai to the Jews and to the satraps and the governors and [the] officials of the provinces which - [were] from India and to Cush seven and twenty and a hundred province[s] province and province according to writing its and people and people according to language its and to the Jews according to writing their and according to language their.

10 E se escreveu em nome do rei Assuero, e se sellou com o annel do rei: e se enviaram as cartas pela mão de correios a cavallo, e que cavalgavam sobre ginetes, e sobre mulas e filhos de eguas.

And he wrote in [the] name of the king Ahasuerus and he sealed [it] with [the] signet-ring of the king and he sent letters by [the] hand of couriers on horses [the] riders of the steed[s] royal [the] sons of the mares.

11 Que o rei concedia aos judeos, que havia em cada cidade, que se ajuntassem, e se dispozessem para defenderem as suas vidas: para destruirem, matarem e assolarem a todas as forças do povo e provincia que com elles apertassem, creanças e mulheres, e que se saqueassem os seus despojos,

That he had permitted the king to the Jews - who [were] in every city and city to assemble and to make a stand on life their to annihilate and to kill and to destroy every army of people and province which attacks them little one[s] and women and spoil their to take as plunder.

12 N'um mesmo dia, em todas as provincias do rei Assuero, no dia treze do duodecimo mez, que é o mez d'adar.

On a day one in all [the] provinces of the king Ahasuerus on [day] thir-teen of month two [plus] ten that [is] [the] month of Adar.

13 E a copia da carta foi que uma ordem se annunciaria em todas as provincias, publicamente a todos os povos, para que os judeos estivessem preparados para aquelle dia, para se vingarem dos seus inimigos.

14 Os correios sobre ginetes e mulas apressuradamente sairam, impellidos pela palavra do rei: e foi publicada esta ordem na fortaleza de Susan.

The couriers [the] riders of the steed[s] royal they went out hastened and hurried at [the] word of the king and the law it was given in Susa the citadel.

15 Então Mardoqueo saiu da presença do rei com um vestido real azul celeste e branco, como tambem com uma grande corôa d'oiro, e com uma capa de linho fino e purpura, e a cidade de Susan jubilou e se alegrou.

And Mordecai he went out - from to before the king in clothing of royalty of violet and white cloth and a crown of gold great and a robe of fine linen and purple and the city of Susa it shouted for joy and it rejoiced.

16 E para os judeos houve luz, e alegria, e gozo, e honra.

To the Jews it belonged light and gladness and joy and honor.

17 Tambem em toda a provincia, e em toda a cidade, aonde chegava a palavra do rei e a sua ordem, havia entre os judeos alegria, e gozo, convites e dias de folguedo: e muitos dos povos da terra se fizeram judeos; porque o temor dos judeos tinha caido sobre elles.

And in every province and province and in every city and city [the] place where [the] word of the king and law his [was] reaching gladness and joy [belonged] to the Jews a feast and a day good and many of [the] peoples of the land [were] becoming Jews for it had fallen dread of the Jews on them.
