Efésios 3
1 Por esta causa eu, Paulo, sou o prisioneiro de Jesus Christo por vós, os gentios;
Because of this I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles.
2 Se é que tendes ouvido a dispensação da graça de Deus, que para comvosco me foi dada;
I assume that you have heard of the stewardship of the grace of God that was given to me for you.
3 Como me foi este mysterio manifestado pela revelação (como acima em poucas palavras vos escrevi;
I am writing according to the revelation made known to me. This is the hidden truth about which I briefly wrote to you.
4 Pelo que, lendo, podeis entender a minha sciencia n'este mysterio de Christo),
When you read about this, you will be able to understand my insight into this hidden truth about Christ.
5 O qual n'outros seculos não foi manifestado aos filhos dos homens, como agora é revelado pelo Espirito aos seus sanctos apostolos e prophetas;
In other generations this truth was not made known to the sons of men. But now it has been revealed by the Spirit to his apostles and prophets who were set apart for this work.
6 A saber, que os gentios são coherdeiros, e de um mesmo corpo, e participantes da sua promessa em Christo pelo evangelho;
This hidden truth is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and they share the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
7 Do qual sou feito ministro, pelo dom da graça de Deus, que me foi dado segundo a operação do seu poder.
For I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given to me through the working of his power.
8 A mim, o minimo de todos os sanctos, me foi dada esta graça de annunciar entre os gentios, por meio do evangelho, as riquezas incomprehensiveis de Christo,
This grace was given to me, although I am the least of all the saints, that I should proclaim to the Gentiles the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 E mostrar a todos qual seja a communhão do mysterio, que desde todos os seculos esteve occulto em Deus, que por Christo Jesus creou todas as coisas; (aiōn g165)
so that I will bring to light for everyone the plan—the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things. (aiōn g165)
10 Para que agora pela egreja a multiforme sabedoria de Deus seja manifestada aos principados e potestades nos céus,
This plan was made known through the church so the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places would come to know the many-sided nature of the wisdom of God.
This happened according to the eternal plan that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōn g165)
12 No qual temos ousadia e accesso com confiança, pela fé n'elle.
For in Christ we have boldness and access with confidence because of our faith in him.
13 Portanto vos peço que não desfalleçaes nas minhas tribulações por vós, que são a vossa gloria
Therefore I ask you not to be discouraged because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
14 Por causa d'isto me ponho de joelhos perante o Pae de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo,
For this reason I bend my knees to the Father,
15 Do qual toda a familia nos céus e na terra toma o nome.
from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.
16 Para que, segundo as riquezas da sua gloria, vos conceda que sejaes corroborados com poder pelo seu Espirito no homem interior;
I pray that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power through his Spirit, who is in you.
17 Para que Christo habite pela fé nos vossos corações; para que, estando arraigados e fundados em amor,
I pray that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, that you will be rooted and grounded in his love.
18 Possaes perfeitamente comprehender, com todos os sanctos, qual seja a largura, e o comprimento, e a altura, e a profundidade,
May you have strength so you can understand, along with all the believers, what is the width, the length, the height, and the depth,
19 E conhecer o amor de Christo, que excede todo o entendimento, para que sejaes cheios de toda a plenitude de Deus.
and that you may know the love of Christ, which goes beyond knowledge, and that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Ora, áquelle que é poderoso para fazer tudo muito mais abundantemente do que pedimos ou pensamos, segundo o poder que em nós opéra,
Now to him who is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think, according to his power that works in us,
