Deuteronômio 32
1 Inclinae os ouvidos, ó céus, e fallarei: e ouça a terra as palavras da minha bocca.
Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
2 Goteje a minha doutrina como a chuva, distille o meu dito como o orvalho, como chuvisco sobre a herva e como gotas d'agua sobre a relva.
My doctrine shall drop as the rain; My speech shall distil as the dew, As the small rain upon the tender grass, And as the showers upon the herb.
3 Porque apregoarei o nome do Senhor: dae grandeza a nosso Deus.
For I will proclaim the name of Jehovah: Ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
4 Elle é a Rocha, cuja obra é perfeita, porque todos os seus caminhos juizo são: Deus é a verdade, e não ha n'elle injustiça; justo e recto é.
The Rock, his work is perfect; For all his ways are justice: A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, Just and right is he.
5 Corromperam-se contra elle, seus filhos elles não são, a sua mancha é d'elles: geração perversa e torcida é.
They have dealt corruptly with him, [they are] not his children, [it is] their blemish; [They are] a perverse and crooked generation.
6 Recompensaes assim ao Senhor, povo louco e ignorante? não é elle teu Pae, que te adquiriu, te fez e te estabeleceu?
Do ye thus requite Jehovah, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? He hath made thee, and established thee.
7 Lembra-te dos dias da antiguidade, attentae para os annos de muitas gerações: pergunta a teu pae, e elle te informará, aos teus anciãos, e elles t'o dirão.
Remember the days of old, Consider the years of many generations: Ask thy father, and he will show thee; Thine elders, and they will tell thee.
8 Quando o Altissimo distribuia as heranças ás nações, quando dividia os filhos de Adão uns dos outros, os termos dos povos tem posto, conforme ao numero dos filhos d'Israel.
When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel.
9 Porque a porção do Senhor é o seu povo; Jacob é a corda da sua herança.
For Jehovah’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
10 Achou-o na terra do deserto, e n'um ermo solitario cheio de uivos; trouxe-o ao redor, instruiu-o, guardou-o como a menina do seu olho.
He found him in a desert land, And in the waste howling wilderness; He compassed him about, he cared for him, He kept him as the apple of his eye.
11 Como a aguia desperta o seu ninho, se move sobre os seus filhos, estende as suas azas, toma-os, e os leva sobre as suas azas,
As an eagle that stirreth up her nest, That fluttereth over her young, He spread abroad his wings, he took them, He bare them on his pinions.
12 Assim só o Senhor o guiou: e não havia com elle deus estranho.
Jehovah alone did lead him, And there was no foreign god with him.
13 Elle o fez cavalgar sobre as alturas da terra, e comeu as novidades do campo, e o fez chupar mel da rocha e azeite da dura pederneira,
He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he did eat the increase of the field; And he made him to suck honey out of the rock, And oil out of the flinty rock;
14 Manteiga de vaccas, e leite do rebanho, com a gordura dos cordeiros e dos carneiros que pastam em Basan, e dos bodes, com gordura dos rins do trigo; e bebeste o sangue das uvas, o vinho puro.
Butter of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs, And rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, With the finest of the wheat; And of the blood of the grape thou drankest wine.
15 E, engordando-se Jeshurun, deu coices; engordaste-te, engrossaste-te, e de gordura te cobriste: e deixou a Deus, que o fez, e desprezou a Rocha da sua salvação.
But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: Thou art waxed fat, thou art grown thick, thou art become sleek; Then he forsook God who made him, And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
16 Com deuses estranhos o provocaram a zelos; com abominações o irritaram.
They moved him to jealousy with strange [gods]; With abominations provoked they him to anger.
17 Sacrificios offereceram aos diabos, não a Deus; aos deuses que não conheceram, novos deuses que vieram ha pouco, dos quaes não se estremeceram vossos paes.
They sacrificed unto demons, [which were] no God, To gods that they knew not, To new [gods] that came up of late, Which your fathers dreaded not.
18 Esqueceste-te da Rocha que te gerou; e em esquecimento puzeste o Deus que te formou.
Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth.
19 O que vendo o Senhor, os desprezou, provocado á ira contra seus filhos e suas filhas;
And Jehovah saw [it], and abhorred [them], Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
20 E disse: Esconderei o meu rosto d'elles, verei qual será o seu fim; porque são geração de perversidade, filhos em quem não ha lealdade.
And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: For they are a very perverse generation, Children in whom is no faithfulness.
21 A zelos me provocaram com aquillo que não é Deus; com as suas vaidades me provocaram á ira; portanto eu os provocarei a zelos com os que não são povo; com nação louca os despertarei á ira.
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; They have provoked me to anger with their vanities: And I will move them to jealousy with those that are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22 Porque um fogo se accendeu na minha ira, e arderá até ao mais profundo do inferno, e consummirá a terra com a sua novidade, e abrazará os fundamentos dos montes. (Sheol h7585)
For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And burneth unto the lowest Sheol, And devoureth the earth with its increase, And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
23 Males amontoarei sobre elles; as minhas settas esgotarei contra elles.
I will heap evils upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them:
24 Exhaustos serão de fome, comidos de carbunculo e de peste amarga: e entre elles enviarei dentes de feras, com ardente peçonha de serpentes do pó.
[They shall be] wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat And bitter destruction; And the teeth of beasts will I send upon them, With the poison of crawling things of the dust.
25 Por fóra devastará a espada, e por dentro o pavor: ao mancebo, juntamente com a virgem, assim á creança de mama, como ao homem de cãs
Without shall the sword bereave, And in the chambers terror; [It shall destroy] both young man and virgin, The suckling with the man of gray hairs.
26 Eu dizia: Em todos os cantos os espalharia; faria cessar a sua memoria d'entre os homens,
I said, I would scatter them afar, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men;
27 Se eu não receiara a ira do inimigo, para que os seus adversarios o não estranhassem, e para que não digam: A nossa mão está alta; o Senhor não fez tudo isto.
Were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, Lest their adversaries should judge amiss, Lest they should say, Our hand is exalted, And Jehovah hath not done all this.
28 Porque são gente falta de conselhos, e n'elles não ha entendimento.
For they are a nation void of counsel, And there is no understanding in them.
29 Oxalá elles fossem sabios! que isto entendessem, e attentassem para o seu fim!
Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!
30 Como pode ser que um só perseguisse mil, e dois fizessem fugir dez mil, se a sua Rocha os não vendera, e o Senhor os não entregara?
How should one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And Jehovah had delivered them up?
31 Porque a sua rocha não é como a nossa Rocha; sendo até os nossos inimigos juizes d'isto.
For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.
32 Porque a sua vinha é a vinha de Sodoma e dos campos de Gomorrha: as suas uvas são uvas de fel, cachos amargosos teem.
For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, And of the fields of Gomorrah: Their grapes are grapes of gall, Their clusters are bitter:
33 O seu vinho é ardente veneno de dragões, e peçonha cruel de viboras.
Their wine is the poison of serpents, And the cruel venom of asps.
34 Não está isto encerrado comigo? sellado nos meus thesouros?
Is not this laid up in store with me, Sealed up among my treasures?
35 Minha é a vingança e a recompensa, ao tempo que resvalar o seu pé: porque o dia da sua ruina está proximo, e as coisas que lhes hão de succeder, se apressam a chegar.
Vengeance is mine, and recompense, At the time when their foot shall slide: For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.
36 Porque o Senhor fará justiça ao seu povo, e se arrependerá pelos seus servos: porquanto o poder d'elle foi-se, e não ha fechado nem desamparado.
For Jehovah will judge his people, And repent himself for his servants; When he seeth that [their] power is gone, And there is none [remaining], shut up or left at large.
37 Então dirá: Onde estão os seus deuses? a rocha em quem confiavam,
And he will say, Where are their gods, The rock in which they took refuge;
38 De cujos sacrificios comiam a gordura, e de cujas libações bebiam o vinho? levantem-se, e vos ajudem, para que haja para vós escondedouro.
Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, [And] drank the wine of their drink-offering? Let them rise up and help you, Let them be your protection.
39 Vêde agora que Eu, Eu O sou, e mais nenhum Deus comigo: Eu mato, e Eu faço viver: Eu firo, e Eu saro: e ninguem ha que escape da minha mão.
See now that I, even I, am he, And there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
40 Porque levantarei a minha mão aos céus, e direi: Eu vivo para sempre.
For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live for ever,
41 Se eu afiar a minha espada reluzente, e se travar do juizo a minha mão, farei tornar a vingança sobre os meus adversarios, e recompensarei aos meus aborrecedores.
If I whet my glittering sword, And my hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hate me.
42 Embriagarei as minhas settas de sangue, e a minha espada comerá carne: do sangue dos mortos e dos prisioneiros, desde a cabeça, haverá vinganças do inimigo.
I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, And my sword shall devour flesh; With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the head of the leaders of the enemy.
43 Jubilae, ó nações, com o seu povo, porque vingará o sangue dos seus servos, e sobre os seus adversarios fará tornar a vingança, e terá misericordia da sua terra e do seu povo.
Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, And will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.
44 E veiu Moysés, e fallou todas as palavras d'este cantico aos ouvidos do povo, elle e Hosea, filho de Nun.
And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
45 E, acabando Moysés de fallar todas estas palavras a todo o Israel,
And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel;
46 Disse-lhes: Applicae o vosso coração a todas as palavras que hoje testifico entre vós, para que as recommendeis a vossos filhos, para que tenham cuidado de fazerem todas as palavras d'esta lei.
and he said unto them, Set your heart unto all the words which I testify unto you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, [even] all the words of this law.
47 Porque esta palavra não vos é vã, antes é a vossa vida; e por esta mesma palavra prolongareis os dias na terra a que passaes o Jordão a possuil-a.
For it is no vain thing for you; because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over the Jordan to possess it.
48 Depois fallou o Senhor a Moysés, n'aquelle mesmo dia, dizendo:
And Jehovah spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
49 Sobe ao monte d'Abarim, ao monte Nebo, que está na terra de Moab, defronte de Jericó, e vê a terra de Canaan, que darei aos filhos de Israel por possessão.
Get thee up into this mountain of Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession;
50 E morre no monte, ao qual subirás; e recolhe-te aos teus povos, como Aarão teu irmão morreu no monte de Hor, e se recolheu aos seus povos.
and die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
51 Porquanto traspassastes contra mim no meio dos filhos de Israel, ás aguas da contenção em Cades, no deserto de Zin: pois me não sanctificastes no meio doe filhos de Israel.
because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
52 Pelo que verás a terra diante de ti, porém não entrarás n'ella, na terra que darei aos filhos de Israel.
For thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither into the land which I give the children of Israel.
