Deuteronômio 3
1 Depois nós virámos e subimos o caminho de Basan: e Og rei de Basan, nos saiu ao encontro, elle e todo o seu povo, á peleja em Edrei.
Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan. Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
2 Então o Senhor me disse: Não temas, porque a elle e a todo o seu povo, e a sua terra, tenho dado na tua mão: e far-lhe-has como fizeste a Sehon, rei dos amorrheos, que habitava em Hesbon.
Adonai said to me, “Don’t fear him; for I have delivered him, with all his people, and his land, into your hand. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites [Descendants of Talkers], who lived at Heshbon.”
3 E tambem o Senhor nosso Deus nos deu na nossa mão a Og, rei de Basan, e a todo o seu povo: de maneira que o ferimos, até que ninguem lhe ficou de restante.
So Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God] delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people. We struck him until no one was left to him remaining.
4 E n'aquelle tempo tomámos todas as suas cidades: nenhuma cidade houve que lhes não tomassemos: sessenta cidades, toda a borda da terra d'Argob, o reino d'Og em Basan.
We took all his cities at that time. There was not a city which we didn’t take from them; sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
5 Todas estas cidades eram fortificadas com altos muros, portas e ferrolhos: de mais d'outras muitas cidades sem muros.
All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; besides a great many villages without walls.
6 E destruimol-as como fizemos a Sehon, rei de Hesbon, destruindo todas as cidades, homens, mulheres e creanças.
We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones.
7 Porém todo o gado, e o despojo das cidades, tomámos para nós por presa.
But all the livestock, and the plunder of the cities, we took for plunder for ourselves.
8 Assim n'aquelle tempo tomámos a terra da mão d'aquelles dois reis dos amorrheos, que estavam d'áquem do Jordão: desde o rio d'Arnon, até ao monte de Hermon;
We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites [Descendants of Talkers] who were beyond the Jordan [Descender], from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon [Devoted to destruction].
9 (Os Sidonios a Hermon chamam Sirion; porém os amorrheos o chamam Senir);
(The Sidonians call Hermon [Devoted to destruction] Sirion, and the Amorites [Descendants of Talkers] call it Senir.)
10 Todas as cidades da terra plana, e todo o Gilead, e todo o Basan, até Salcha e Edrei, cidades do reino d'Og em Basan.
We took all the 'Ieyr HaKikar [Cities of the Round], and all Gilead, and all Bashan, to Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
11 Porque só Og, o rei de Basan, ficou do resto dos gigantes; eis que o seu leito, um leito de ferro, não está porventura em Rabba dos filhos d'Ammon? de nove covados o seu comprimento, e de quatro covados a sua largura, pelo covado d'um homem.
(For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim [Descendants of Terrible one]. Behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron. Is not it in Rabbah of the children of Ammon [Tribal people]? Nine cubits [13.5 ft; 41.15 m] was its length, and four cubits [6 ft; 18.29 m] its width, after the cubit [18 in; 45.72 cm] of a man.)
12 Tomámos pois esta terra em possessão n'aquelle tempo: desde Aroer, que está junto ao ribeiro d'Arnon, e a metade da montanha de Gilead, com as suas cidades, tenho dado aos rubenitas e gaditas.
This land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead, and its cities, gave I to the Reubenites and to the Gadites:
13 E o resto de Gilead, como tambem todo o Basan, o reino d'Og, dei á meia tribu de Manasseh; toda aquella borda da terra d'Argob, por todo o Basan, se chamava a terra dos gigantes.
and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, gave I to the half-tribe of Manasseh [Causing to forget]; all the region of Argob, even all Bashan. (The same is called the land of Rephaim [Descendants of Terrible one].
14 Jair, filho de Manasseh, alcançou toda a borda da terra de Argob, até ao termo dos gesuritas, e maachatitas, e a chamou de seu nome, Basan-havot-jair até este dia.
Jair the son of Manasseh [Causing to forget] took all the region of Argob, to the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own name, Havvoth Jair, to this day.)
15 E a Machir dei Gilead.
I gave Gilead to Machir.
16 Mas aos rubenitas e gaditas dei desde Gilead até ao ribeiro d'Arnon, o meio do ribeiro, e o termo: e até ao ribeiro de Jabbok, o termo dos filhos d'Ammon.
To the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave from Gilead even to the valley of the Arnon, the middle of the valley, and its border, even to the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon [Tribal people];
17 Como tambem a campina, e o Jordão com o termo: desde Cinnereth até ao mar da campina, o Mar Salgado, abaixo d'Asdoth-pisga para o oriente.
the Arabah also, and the Jordan [Descender] and its border, from Chinnereth even to the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.
18 E vos dei ordem mais no mesmo tempo, dizendo: O Senhor vosso Deus vos deu esta terra, para possuil-a: passae pois armados vós, todos os homens valentes, diante de vossos irmãos, os filhos d'Israel.
I enjoined you at that time, saying, “Adonai your God has given you this land to possess it. You shall pass over armed before your brothers the children of Israel [God prevails], all the men of valor.
19 Tão sómente vossas mulheres, e vossas creanças, e vosso gado (porque eu sei que tendes muito gado) ficarão nas vossas cidades, que já vos tenho dado
But your wives, and your little ones, and your livestock, (I know that you have much livestock), shall live in your cities which I have given you,
20 Até que o Senhor dê descanço a vossos irmãos como a vós: para que elles herdem tambem a terra que o Senhor vosso Deus lhes ha de dar d'além do Jordão: então voltareis cada qual á sua herança que já vos tenho dado
until Adonai gives rest to your brothers, as to you, and they also possess the land which Adonai your God gives them beyond the Jordan [Descender]. Then you shall each teshuvah ·completely return· to his own possession, which I have given you.”
21 Tambem dei ordem a Josué no mesmo tempo, dizendo: Os teus olhos vêem tudo o que o Senhor vosso Deus tem feito a estes dois reis; assim fará o Senhor a todos os reinos, a que tu passarás.
I enjoined Joshua [Yah Salvation] at that time, saying, “Your eyes have seen all that Adonai your God has done to these two kings. So shall Adonai do to all the kingdoms where you go over.
22 Não os temaes: porque o Senhor vosso Deus é o que peleja por vós.
You shall not fear them; for Adonai your God himself fights for you.”
23 Tambem eu pedi graça ao Senhor no mesmo tempo, dizendo:
I begged Adonai at that time, saying,
24 Senhor Jehovah! já começaste a mostrar ao teu servo a tua grandeza e a tua forte mão: porque, que Deus ha nos céus e na terra, que possa obrar segundo as tuas obras, e segundo a tua fortaleza?
“'Adonay Adonai [Lord Yahweh], you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand. For what deity is there in heaven or in earth that can do works like yours, and mighty acts like yours?
25 Rogo-te que me deixes passar, para que veja esta boa terra que está d'além do Jordão; esta boa montanha, e o Libano.
Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan [Descender], that fine mountain, and Lebanon.”
26 Porém o Senhor indignou-se muito contra mim por causa de vós, e não me ouviu; antes me disse: Baste-te; não me falles mais n'este negocio:
But Adonai was angry with me for your sakes, and didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· me. Adonai said to me, “Let this satisfy you. Speak no more to me of this matter.
27 Sobe ao cume de Pisga, e levanta os teus olhos ao occidente, e ao norte, e ao sul, e ao oriente, e vê com os teus olhos: porque não passarás este Jordão.
Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes; for you shall not go over this Jordan [Descender].
28 Manda pois a Josué, e esforça-o, e conforta-o; porque elle passará diante d'este povo, e o fará possuir a terra que vires.
But enjoin Joshua [Yah Salvation], and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.”
29 Assim ficámos n'este valle, defronte de Beth-peor.
So we stayed in the valley near Beth Peor.
