Deuteronômio 10
1 N'aquelle mesmo tempo me disse o Senhor: Alisa duas taboas de pedra, como as primeiras, e sobe a mim a este monte, e faze-te uma arca de madeira:
At that time Jehovah said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
2 E n'aquellas taboas escreverei as palavras que estavam nas primeiras taboas que quebraste, e as porás na arca.
And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
3 Assim, fiz uma arca de madeira de sittim, e alisei duas taboas de pedra, como as primeiras: e subi ao monte com as duas taboas na minha mão.
So I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in my hand.
4 Então escreveu nas taboas, conforme á primeira escriptura, os dez mandamentos, que o Senhor vos fallara no dia da congregação, no monte, do meio do fogo: e o Senhor m'as deu a mim
And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Jehovah spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Jehovah gave them unto me.
5 E virei-me, e desci do monte, e puz as taboas na arca que fizera: e ali estão, como o Senhor me ordenou.
And I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Jehovah commanded me.
6 E partiram os filhos de Israel de Beeroth-Bene-jaakan a Mosera: ali falleceu Aarão, e ali foi sepultado, e Eleazar, seu filho, administrou o sacerdocio em seu logar.
(And the children of Israel journeyed from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his stead.
7 D'ali partiram a Gudgod, e de Gudgod a Jotbath, terra de ribeiros de aguas.
From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.
8 No mesmo tempo o Senhor separou a tribu de Levi, para levar a arca do concerto do Senhor, para estar diante do Senhor, para o servir, e para abençoar em seu nome até ao dia de hoje.
At that time Jehovah set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, to stand before Jehovah to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
9 Pelo que Levi com seus irmãos não tem parte na herança: o Senhor é a sua herança, como o Senhor teu Deus lhe tem dito
Wherefore Levi hath no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; Jehovah is his inheritance, according as Jehovah thy God spake unto him.)
10 E eu estive no monte, como nos dias primeiros, quarenta dias e quarenta noites: e o Senhor me ouviu ainda por esta vez: não quiz o Senhor destruir-te.
And I stayed in the mount, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and Jehovah hearkened unto me that time also; Jehovah would not destroy thee.
11 Porém o Senhor me disse: Levanta-te, põe-te a caminho diante do povo, para que entrem, e possuam a terra que jurei a seus paes dar-lhes.
And Jehovah said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
12 Agora, pois, ó Israel, que é o que o Senhor teu Deus pede de ti, senão que temas o Senhor teu Deus, que andes em todos os seus caminhos, e o ames, e sirvas ao Senhor teu Deus com todo o teu coração e com toda a tua alma
And now, Israel, what doth Jehovah thy God require of thee, but to fear Jehovah thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Jehovah thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 Para guardar os mandamentos do Senhor, e os seus estatutos, que hoje te ordeno, para o teu bem?
to keep the commandments of Jehovah, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
14 Eis que os céus e os céus dos céus são do Senhor teu Deus, a terra e tudo o que n'ella ha.
Behold, unto Jehovah thy God belongeth heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.
15 Tão sómente o Senhor tomou prazer em teus paes para os amar: e a vós, semente d'elles, escolheu depois d'elles, de todos os povos, como n'este dia se vê
Only Jehovah had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.
16 Circumcidae pois o prepucio do vosso coração, e não mais endureçaes a vossa cerviz.
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17 Pois o Senhor vosso Deus é o Deus dos deuses, e o Senhor dos senhores, o Deus grande, poderoso e terrivel, que não faz accepção de pessoas, nem acceita recompensas:
For Jehovah your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the terrible, who regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.
18 Que faz justiça ao orphão e á viuva, e ama o estrangeiro, dando-lhe pão e vestido.
He doth execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loveth the sojourner, in giving him food and raiment.
19 Pelo que amareis o estrangeiro, pois fostes estrangeiros na terra do Egypto.
Love ye therefore the sojourner; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
20 Ao Senhor teu Deus temerás, a elle servirás, e a elle te chegarás, e pelo seu nome jurarás.
Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; him shalt thou serve; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.
21 Elle é o teu louvor e o teu Deus, que te fez estas grandes e terriveis coisas que os teus olhos teem visto.
He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
22 Com setenta almas teus paes desceram ao Egypto; e agora o Senhor teu Deus te poz como as estrellas dos céus em multidão.
Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now Jehovah thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
