Daniel 9
1 No anno primeiro de Dario, filho de Assuero, da nação dos medos, o qual foi constituido rei sobre o reino dos chaldeos,
In the first yeere of Darius the sonne of Ahashuerosh, of the seede of the Medes, which was made King ouer the realme of the Caldeans,
2 No anno primeiro do seu reinado, eu, Daniel, entendi pelos livros que o numero dos annos, dos quaes fallou o Senhor ao propheta Jeremias, em que haviam de acabar as assolações de Jerusalem, era de setenta annos.
Euen in the first yeere of his reigne, I Daniel vnderstood by bookes the nomber of the yeeres, whereof the Lord had spoken vnto Ieremiah the Prophet, that he would accomplish seuentie yeeres in the desolation of Ierusalem.
3 E eu dirigi o meu rosto ao Senhor Deus, para o buscar com oração e rogos, com jejum, e sacco e cinza.
And I turned my face vnto the Lord God, and sought by prayer and supplications with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
4 E orei ao Senhor meu Deus, e confessei, e disse: Ah! Senhor! Deus grande e tremendo, que guardas o concerto e a misericordia para com os que te amam e guardam os teus mandamentos.
And I prayed vnto the Lord my God, and made my confession, saying, Oh Lord God, which art great and fearefull, and keepest couenant and mercy toward them which loue thee, and toward them that keepe thy commandements,
5 Peccámos, e commettemos iniquidade, e fizemos impiamente, e fomos rebeldes, apartando-nos dos teus mandamentos e dos teus juizos;
We haue sinned, and haue committed iniquitie and haue done wickedly, yea, we haue rebelled, and haue departed from thy precepts, and from thy iudgements.
6 E não démos ouvidos aos teus servos, os prophetas, que em teu nome fallaram aos nossos reis, aos nossos principes, e a nossos paes, como tambem a todo o povo da terra.
For we would not obey thy seruants the Prophets, which spake in thy Name to our Kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7 Tua, ó Senhor, é a justiça, mas a nós pertence confusão de rosto, como se vê n'este dia, aos homens de Judah, e aos moradores de Jerusalem, e a todo o Israel; aos de perto e aos de longe, em todas as terras por onde os tens lançado, por causa da sua prevaricação, com que prevaricaram contra ti.
O Lord, righteousnes belongeth vnto thee, and vnto vs open shame, as appeareth this day vnto euery man of Iudah, and to the inhabitants of Ierusalem: yea, vnto all Israel, both neere and farre off, through all the countreys, whither thou hast driuen them, because of their offences, that they haue committed against thee.
8 Ó Senhor, a nós pertence a confusão de rosto, aos nossos reis, aos nossos principes, e a nossos paes, porque peccámos contra ti.
O Lord, vnto vs apperteineth open shame, to our Kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we haue sinned against thee.
9 Ao Senhor, nosso Deus, pertencem as misericordias e os perdões; ainda que nos rebellámos contra elle,
Yet compassion and forgiuenesse is in the Lord our God, albeit we haue rebelled against him.
10 E não obedecemos á voz do Senhor, nosso Deus, para andarmos nas suas leis, que nos deu pela mão de seus servos, os prophetas.
For we haue not obeyed the voyce of the Lord our God, to walke in his lawes, which he had laide before vs by the ministerie of his seruants the Prophets.
11 E todo o Israel traspassou a tua lei, apartando-se para não obedecer á tua voz; por isso a maldição e o juramento, que está escripto na lei de Moysés, servo de Deus, se derramou sobre nós; porque peccámos contra elle.
Yea, all Israel haue transgressed thy Lawe, and are turned backe, and haue not heard thy voyce: therefore the curse is powred vpon vs, and the othe that is written in the Lawe of Moses the seruant of God, because we haue sinned against him.
12 E elle confirmou a sua palavra, que fallou contra nós, e contra os nossos juizes que nos julgavam, trazendo sobre nós um grande mal; que nunca foi feito debaixo de todo o céu como foi feito em Jerusalem.
And he hath confirmed his wordes, which he spake against vs, and against our iudges that iudged vs, by bringing vpon vs a great plague: for vnder the whole heauen hath not bene the like, as hath bene brought vpon Ierusalem.
13 Como está escripto na lei de Moysés, todo aquelle mal nos sobreveiu: comtudo não supplicámos á face do Senhor nosso Deus, para nos convertermos das nossas iniquidades, e para nos applicarmos á tua verdade.
All this plague is come vpon vs, as it is written in the Lawe of Moses: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turne from our iniquities and vnderstand thy trueth.
14 E apressurou-se o Senhor sobre o mal, e o trouxe sobre nós; porque justo é o Senhor, nosso Deus, em todas as suas obras, que fez, pois não obedecemos á sua voz
Therefore hath the Lord made ready the plague, and brought it vpon vs: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we would not heare his voyce.
15 Ora pois, ó Senhor, nosso Deus, que tiraste o teu povo da terra do Egypto com mão poderosa, e ganhaste para ti nome, como se vê n'este dia, peccámos; obrámos impiamente.
And nowe, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people out of the land of Egypt with a mightie hand, and hast gotten thee renoume, as appeareth this day, we haue sinned, we haue done wickedly.
16 Ó Senhor, segundo todas as tuas justiças pois, aparte-se a tua ira e o teu furor da tua cidade de Jerusalem, do teu sancto monte; porque por causa dos nossos peccados, e por causa das iniquidades de nossos paes, vieram Jerusalem e o teu povo a servir de opprobrio a todos os que nos estão em redor.
O Lord, according to all thy righteousnes, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy wrath be turned away from thy citie Ierusalem thine holy Mountaine: for because of our sinnes, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Ierusalem and thy people are a reproche to all that are about vs.
17 Agora pois, ó Deus nosso, ouve a oração do teu servo, e as suas supplicas, e sobre o teu sanctuario assolado faze resplandecer o teu rosto, por amor do Senhor.
Nowe therefore, O our God, heare the prayer of thy serunant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine vpon thy Sanctuarie, that lyeth waste for the Lords sake.
18 Inclina, ó Deus meu, os teus ouvidos; e ouve: abre os teus olhos, e olha para a nossa desolação, e para a cidade a qual é chamada pelo teu nome, porque não lançamos as nossas supplicas perante a tua face fiados em nossas justiças, mas em tuas muitas misericordias.
O my God, encline thine eare and heare: open thine eyes, and beholde our desolations, and the citie whereupon thy Name is called: for we doe not present our supplications before thee for our owne righteousnes, but for thy great tender mercies.
19 Ó Senhor, ouve: ó Senhor, perdoa; ó Senhor, attende-nos e obra sem tardar; por amor de ti mesmo, ó Deus meu; porque a tua cidade e o teu povo se chamam pelo teu nome.
O Lord, heare, O Lord forgiue, O Lord consider, and doe it: deferre not, for thine owne sake, O my God: for thy Name is called vpon thy citie, and vpon thy people.
20 Estando eu ainda fallando e orando, e confessando o meu peccado, e o peccado do meu povo Israel, e lançando a minha supplica perante a face do Senhor, meu Deus, pelo monte sancto do meu Deus,
And whiles I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sinne, and the sinne of my people Israel, and did present my supplication before the Lord my God, for the holy Mountaine of my God,
21 Estando eu, digo, ainda fallando na oração, o varão Gabriel, que eu tinha visto ao principio, veiu, voando rapidamente, tocando-me, como á hora do sacrificio da tarde.
Yea, while I was speaking in prayer, euen the man Gabriel, whome I had seene before in the vision, came flying, and touched mee about the time of the euening oblation.
22 E me instruiu, e fallou comigo, e disse: Daniel, agora sahi para fazer-te entender o sentido.
And he informed me, and talked with me, and sayd, O Daniel, I am now come forth to giue thee knowledge and vnderstanding.
23 No principio das tuas supplicas, saiu a palavra, e eu vim, para t'o declarar, porque és mui amado: toma pois bem sentido da palavra, e entende a visão.
At the beginning of thy supplications the commandement came foorth, and I am come to shewe thee, for thou art greatly beloued: therefore vnderstande the matter and consider the vision.
24 Setenta semanas estão determinadas sobre o teu povo, e sobre a tua sancta cidade, para consumir a transgressão, e para acabar os peccados, e para expiar a iniquidade, e para trazer a justiça eterna, e para sellar a visão e o propheta, e para ungir o Sancto dos sanctos.
Seuentie weekes are determined vpon thy people and vpon thine holy citie, to finish the wickednes, and to seale vp the sinnes, and to reconcile the inquitie, and to bring in euerlasting righteousnesse, and to seale vp the vision and prophecie, and to anoynt the most Holy.
25 Sabe e entende: desde a saida da palavra para fazer tornar, e para edificar a Jerusalem, até ao Messias, o Principe, sete semanas, e sessenta e duas semanas: as ruas e as tranqueiras se reedificarão, porém em tempos angustiados.
Knowe therefore and vnderstande, that from the going foorth of the commandement to bring againe the people, and to builde Ierusalem, vnto Messiah the prince, shall be seuen weekes and threescore and two weekes, and the streete shalbe built againe, and the wall euen in a troublous time.
26 E depois das sessenta e duas semanas será desarreigado o Messias, e não será mais: e o povo do principe, que virá, destruirá a cidade e o sanctuario, e o seu fim será com uma innundação; e até ao fim da guerra estão determinadas as assolações.
And after threescore and two weekes, shall Messiah be slaine, and shall haue nothing, and the people of the prince that shall come, shall destroy the citie and the Sanctuarie, and the end thereof shalbe with a flood: and vnto the end of the battell it shalbe destroyed by desolations.
27 E confirmará concerto com muitos uma semana: e na metade da semana fará cessar o sacrificio e a offerta de manjares; e sobre a ala das abominações virá assolador, e isso até á consummação; e o que está determinado será derramado sobre o assolado
And he shall confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the middes of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of the abominations, he shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation determined shalbe powred vpon the desolate.
