Colossenses 3
1 Portanto, se já resuscitastes com Christo, buscae as coisas que são de cima, onde Christo está assentado á dextra de Deus.
Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
2 Pensae nas coisas que são de cima, e não nas que são da terra;
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 Porque já estaes mortos, e a vossa vida está escondida com Christo em Deus.
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 Quando Christo, que é a nossa vida, se manifestar, então tambem vós vos manifestareis com elle em gloria.
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
5 Mortificae pois os vossos membros, que estão sobre a terra: a fornicação, a immundicia, o appetite desordenado, a vil concupiscencia e a avareza, que é idolatria;
Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
6 Pelas quaes coisas vem a ira de Deus sobre os filhos da desobediencia:
Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
7 Nas quaes tambem d'antes andastes, quando vivieis n'ellas.
When you lived among them, you also used to walk in these ways.
8 Mas agora despojae-vos tambem de todas estas coisas, a saber, da ira, da colera, da malicia, da maledicencia, das palavras torpes da vossa bocca.
But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
9 Não mintaes uns aos outros, pois que já vos despistes do velho homem com os seus feitos,
Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices,
10 E vos vestistes do novo, que se renova para o conhecimento, segundo a imagem d'aquelle que o creou:
and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
11 Onde não ha grego nem judeo, circumcisão nem incircumcisão, barbaro, scytha, servo, ou livre; mas Christo é tudo em todos.
Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, or free, but Christ is all and is in all.
12 Revesti-vos pois, como eleitos de Deus, sanctos, e amados, de entranhas de misericordia, da benignidade, humildade, mansidão, longanimidade:
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
13 Supportando-vos uns aos outros, e perdoando-vos uns aos outros, se algum tiver queixa contra outro: assim como Christo vos perdoou, assim o fazei vós tambem.
Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
14 E, sobre tudo isto, revesti-vos de caridade, que é o vinculo da perfeição.
And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity.
15 E a paz de Deus domine em vossos corações para a qual tambem fostes chamados em um corpo, e sêde agradecidos.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.
16 A palavra de Christo habite em vós abundantemente, em toda a sabedoria, ensinando-vos e admoestando-vos uns aos outros, com palavras, hymnos e canticos espirituaes, cantando ao Senhor com graça em vosso coração.
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 E, quanto fizerdes por palavras ou por obras, fazei tudo em nome do Senhor Jesus, dando por elle graças a Deus e ao Pae.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
18 Vós, mulheres, estae sujeitas a vossos proprios maridos, como convém no Senhor.
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Vós, maridos, amae a vossas mulheres, e não vos irriteis contra ellas.
Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
20 Vós, filhos, obedecei em tudo a vossos paes; porque isto é agradavel ao Senhor.
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
21 Vós, paes, não irriteis a vossos filhos, para que não percam o animo.
Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they will not become discouraged.
22 Vós, servos, obedecei em tudo a vossos senhores segundo a carne, não servindo só na apparencia, como para agradar aos homens, mas com simplicidade de coração, temendo a Deus
Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only to please them while they are watching, but with sincerity of heart and fear of the Lord.
23 E, tudo quanto fizerdes, fazei-o do coração, como ao Senhor, e não aos homens:
Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men,
24 Sabendo que recebereis do Senhor o galardão da herança, porque a Christo, o Senhor, servis.
because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
25 Porém quem fizer aggravo receberá o aggravo que fizer: pois não ha accepção de pessoas.
Whoever does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.
