2 Tessalonicenses 2

1 Ora, irmãos, rogamo-vos, pela vinda de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo, e pela nossa reunião com elle,

But we beseech you, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering unto him;

2 Que não vos movaes facilmente do vosso entendimento, e não vos perturbeis, nem por espirito, nem por palavra, nem por epistola, como escripta por nós, como se o dia de Christo estivesse já perto.

that you be not suddenly shaken from your mind, nor disturbed, whether by a spirit, or through word, or a letter as by us, as that the day of the Lord has come.

3 Ninguem de maneira alguma vos engane; porque aquelle dia não virá sem que antes venha a apostasia, e se manifeste o homem do peccado, o filho da perdição;

Let no one deceive you in any way: because unless there may first be an apostasy and the man of lawlessness may be revealed, the son of perdition,

4 O qual se oppõe, e se levanta sobre tudo o que se chama Deus, ou se adora; assim que se assentará, como Deus, no templo de Deus, querendo parecer Deus.

the one opposing and exalting himself above everything that is called God or divinity; so that he sits in the temple of God, showing himself off that he is God.

5 Não vos lembraes de que estas coisas vos dizia quando ainda estava comvosco?

Do you not remember that still being with you, I told you these things?

6 E agora vós sabeis o que o detem, para que a seu proprio tempo seja manifestado.

And now you know that which hinders, that he should be revealed in his time.

7 Porque já o mysterio da injustiça opera: sómente ha um que agora resiste até que do meio seja tirado;

For already the mystery of lawlessness is working: only there is one now hindering, until he may be taken out of the midst;

8 E então será manifestado o iniquo, o qual o Senhor desfará pelo espirito da sua bocca, e aniquilará pelo esplendor da sua vinda:

then indeed will the lawless one be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will remove by the spirit of his mouth, and will exterminate by the brightness of his coming;

9 Aquelle cuja vinda é segundo a efficacia de Satanaz, com todo o poder, e signaes e prodigios de mentira,

whose coming is according to the energy of Satan in all power and signs and wonders of falsehood,

10 E com todo o engano da injustiça para os que perecem, porquanto não receberam o amor da verdade para se salvarem.

and in all the deception of unrighteousness to those who perish; because they did not receive the divine love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 E portanto Deus lhes enviará a operação do erro, para que creiam a mentira;

And on this account God sends to them the working of delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 Para que sejam condemnados todos os que não crêram a verdade, antes tiveram prazer na iniquidade.

in order that they may all be condemned who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 Mas devemos sempre dar graças a Deus por vós, irmãos amados do Senhor, por vos ter Deus elegido desde o principio para a salvação, em sanctificação do Espirito, e fé da verdade

But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning unto salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth;

14 Para o que pelo nosso evangelho vos chamou, para alcançardes a gloria de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo.

unto which He also called you through our gospel, unto the possession of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 Pelo que, irmãos, estae firmes e retende as tradições que vos foram ensinadas, seja por palavra, seja por epistola nossa.

Then therefore, brethren, stand, and hold fast the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or by our epistle:

16 E nosso Senhor Jesus Christo mesmo, o nosso Deus e Pae, que nos amou, e em graça nos deu uma eterna consolação, e boa esperança, (aiōnios g166)

and our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, the one having loved us and given eternal consolation and good hope through grace, (aiōnios g166)

17 Console os vossos corações, e vos conforte em toda a boa palavra e obra.

comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word.
