2 Coríntios 9

1 Quanto á administração que se faz a favor dos sanctos, não necessito escrever-vos;

FOR as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:

2 Porque bem sei a promptidão do vosso animo da qual me glorio de vós para com os macedonios; que a Achaia está prompta desde o anno passado, e o vosso zelo tem estimulado muitos.

For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.

3 Porém enviei estes irmãos, para que a nossa gloria, ácerca de vós, não seja vã n'esta parte; para que (como já disse) possaes estar promptos:

Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:

4 Para que, se acaso os macedonios vierem comigo, e vos acharem desapercebidos, não nos envergonhemos nós (para não dizermos vós) d'este firme fundamento de gloria.

Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.

5 Portanto, tive por coisa necessaria exhortar estes irmãos, para que primeiro fossem ter comvosco, e preparassem primeiro a vossa benção, já d'antes annunciada, para que esteja prompta como benção, e não como avareza.

Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.

6 E digo isto: Que o que semeia pouco, pouco tambem ceifará; e o que semeia em abundancia, em abundancia tambem ceifará.

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

7 Cada um contribua segundo propoz no seu coração; não com tristeza, ou por necessidade; porque Deus ama ao que dá com alegria.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

8 E Deus é poderoso para fazer abundar em vós toda a graça, para que tendo sempre, em tudo, toda a sufficiencia, abundeis em toda a boa obra;

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

9 Conforme está escripto: Espalhou, deu aos pobres: a sua justiça permanece para sempre. (aiōn g165)

(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. (aiōn g165)

10 Ora, aquelle que dá a semente ao que semeia, tambem dará pão para comer, e multiplicará a vossa sementeira, e augmentará os fructos da vossa justiça;

Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; )

11 Para que em tudo enriqueçaes para toda a beneficencia, a qual faz que por nós se deem graças a Deus.

Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

12 Porque a administração d'este serviço, não só suppre as necessidades dos sanctos, mas tambem abunda em muitas graças, que se dão a Deus

For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

13 Portanto, na prova d'esta administração, glorificam a Deus pela submissão que confessaes quanto ao evangelho de Christo, e pela bondade da communicação para com elles, e para com todos;

Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;

14 E pela sua oração por vós, tendo de vós saudades, por causa da excellente graça de Deus em vós.

And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.

15 Graças a Deus pois pelo seu dom ineffavel.

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
