2 Coríntios 5
1 Porque sabemos que, se a nossa casa terrestre d'este tabernaculo se desfizer, temos de Deus um edificio, uma casa não feita por mãos, eterna nos céus. (aiōnios g166)
For we knowe that if our earthly house of this tabernacle be destroyed, we haue a building giuen of God, that is, an house not made with handes, but eternall in the heauens. (aiōnios g166)
2 E por isso tambem gememos, desejando ser revestidos da nossa habitação, que é do céu;
For therefore we sighe, desiring to be clothed with our house, which is from heauen.
3 Se todavia formos achados vestidos, e não nús.
Because that if we be clothed, we shall not be found naked.
4 Porque tambem nós, os que estamos n'este tabernaculo, gememos carregados: porque não queremos ser despidos, mas revestidos, para que o mortal seja absorvido pela vida.
For in deede we that are in this tabernacle, sigh and are burdened, because we would not be vnclothed, but would be clothed vpon, that mortalitie might be swalowed vp of life.
5 Ora, quem para isto mesmo nos preparou foi Deus, o qual nos deu tambem o penhor do Espirito.
And he that hath created vs for this thing, is God, who also hath giuen vnto vs the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Pelo que estamos sempre de bom animo, sabendo que, emquanto estamos no corpo, vivemos ausentes do Senhor.
Therefore we are alway bolde, though we knowe that whiles we are at home in the bodie, we are absent from the Lord.
7 (Porque andamos por fé, e não por vista.)
(For we walke by faith, and not by sight.)
8 Porém temos confiança e desejamos muito deixar este corpo, e habitar com o Senhor.
Neuerthelesse, we are bolde, and loue rather to remoue out of the body, and to dwell with the Lord.
9 Pelo que muito desejamos tambem ser-lhe agradaveis, quer presentes, quer ausentes.
Wherefore also we couet, that both dwelling at home, and remouing from home, we may be acceptable to him.
10 Porque todos devemos comparecer ante o tribunal de Christo, para que cada um receba segundo o que tiver feito no corpo, ou bem, ou mal.
For we must all appeare before the iudgement seate of Christ, that euery man may receiue the things which are done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or euill.
11 Assim que, sabendo o temor que se deve ao Senhor, persuadimos os homens á fé, e somos manifestos a Deus; mas espero que nas vossas consciencias estejamos tambem manifestos.
Knowing therefore that terrour of the Lord, we persuade men, and we are made manifest vnto God, and I trust also that we are made manifest in your consciences.
12 Porque não nos recommendámos outra vez a vós; mas damo-vos occasião de vos gloriardes de nós, para que tenhaes que responder aos que se gloriam na apparencia, e não no coração.
For we prayse not our selues againe vnto you, but giue you an occasion to reioyce of vs, that ye may haue to answere against them, which reioyce in the face, and not in the heart.
13 Porque, se enlouquecemos, é para Deus; e, se conservamos o juizo, é para vós.
For whether we be out of our wit, we are it to God: or whether we be in our right minde, we are it vnto you.
14 Porque o amor de Christo nos constrange, julgando nós isto: que, se um morreu por todos, logo todos morreram.
For that loue of Christ constraineth vs,
15 E elle morreu por todos, para que os que vivem não vivam mais para si, senão para aquelle que por elles morreu e resuscitou.
Because we thus iudge, that if one be dead for all, then were all dead, and he died for all, that they which liue, shoulde not henceforth liue vnto themselues, but vnto him which died for them, and rose againe.
16 Assim que d'aqui por diante a ninguem conhecemos segundo a carne, e, ainda que tambem tenhamos conhecido Christo segundo a carne, todavia agora já o não conhecemos d'este modo.
Wherefore, henceforth know we no man after the flesh, yea though wee had knowen Christ after the flesh, yet nowe henceforth know we him no more.
17 Assim que, se alguem está em Christo, nova creatura é: as coisas velhas já passaram; eis que tudo está feito novo.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, let him be a newe creature. Olde things are passed away: beholde, all things are become newe.
18 E tudo isto provém de Deus que nos reconciliou comsigo mesmo por Jesus Christo, e nos deu o ministerio da reconciliação.
And all things are of God, which hath reconciled vs vnto himselfe by Iesus Christ, and hath giuen vnto vs the ministerie of reconciliation.
19 Porque Deus estava em Christo reconciliando comsigo o mundo, não lhes imputando os seus peccados; e poz em nós a palavra da reconciliação.
For God was in Christ, and reconciled the world to himselfe, not imputing their sinnes vnto them, and hath committed to vs the word of reconciliation.
20 De sorte que somos embaixadores da parte de Christo, como se Deus por nós rogasse. Rogamos-vos pois da parte de Christo que vos reconcilieis com Deus.
Now then are we ambassadours for Christ: as though God did beseeche you through vs, we pray you in Christes steade, that ye be reconciled to God.
21 Áquelle que não conheceu peccado, fel-o peccado por nós; para que n'elle fossemos feitos justiça de Deus.
For he hath made him to be sinne for vs, which knewe no sinne, that we should be made the righteousnesse of God in him.
