2 Coríntios 4
1 Pelo que, tendo este ministerio, segundo a misericordia que nos foi feita, não desfallecemos,
Because of this, having this ministry, according as we received kindness, we do not faint,
2 Antes, rejeitámos as coisas que por vergonha se occultam, não andando com astucia nem falsificando a palavra de Deus, mas recommendando-nos á consciencia de todo o homem, na presença de Deus, pela manifestação da verdade.
but renounced for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves to every conscience of men, before God;
3 Porém, se tambem o nosso evangelho está encoberto, para os que se perdem está encoberto:
and if our good news is also veiled, it is veiled in those perishing,
4 Nos quaes o Deus d'este seculo cegou os entendimentos dos incredulos, para que lhes não resplandeça a luz do evangelho da gloria de Christo, que é a imagem de Deus. (aiōn g165)
in whom the god of this age blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that there does not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God; (aiōn g165)
5 Porque não nos prégamos a nós mesmos, mas a Christo Jesus, o Senhor; e nós mesmos somos vossos servos por amor de Jesus.
for we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus—LORD, and [we are] ourselves your servants because of Jesus;
6 Porque Deus, que disse que das trevas resplandecesse a luz, é quem resplandeceu em nossos corações, para illuminação do conhecimento da gloria de Deus, na face de Jesus Christo.
because [it is] God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” who shined in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 Temos, porém, este thesouro em vasos de barro, para que a excellencia do poder seja de Deus, e não de nós.
And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God, and not of us,
8 Em tudo somos attribulados, porém não angustiados: perplexos, porém não desesperados:
being in tribulation in every [way], but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;
9 Perseguidos, porém não desamparados: abatidos, porém não perdidos:
persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10 Trazendo sempre por toda a parte a mortificação do Senhor Jesus no nosso corpo, para que a vida de Jesus se manifeste tambem em nossos corpos;
at all times carrying around in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body,
11 Porque nós, que vivemos, estamos sempre entregues á morte por amor de Jesus, para que a vida de Jesus se manifeste tambem em a nossa carne mortal.
for we who are living are always delivered up to death because of Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our dying flesh,
12 De maneira que em nós obra a morte, porém em vós a vida.
so that, death indeed works in us, and life in you.
13 E temos portanto o mesmo espirito de fé, como está escripto: Cri, por isso fallei: nós cremos tambem, por isso tambem fallamos.
And having the same spirit of faith, according to that which has been written: “I believed, therefore I spoke”; we also believe, therefore we also speak;
14 Sabendo que o que resuscitou o Senhor Jesus, nos resuscitará tambem por Jesus; e nos collocará comvosco.
knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus, will also raise us up through Jesus, and will present [us] with you,
15 Porque todas estas coisas são por amor de vós, para que a graça, que abunda pela acção de graças de muitos abunde para gloria de Deus.
for all things [are] because of you, that the grace having been multiplied, because of the thanksgiving of the more, may abound to the glory of God;
16 Por isso não desfallecemos: mas, ainda que o nosso homem exterior se corrompa, o interior, comtudo, se renova de dia em dia,
for this reason, we do not faint, but if our outward man also decays, yet the inward is renewed day by day;
17 Porque a nossa leve e momentanea tribulação produz-nos um peso eterno de gloria mui excellente; (aiōnios g166)
for the momentary light matter of our tribulation works out for us more and more an exceedingly continuous weight of glory— (aiōnios g166)
18 Não attentando nós nas coisas que se vêem, mas nas que se não vêem; porque as que se vêem são temporaes, e as que se não vêem são eternas. (aiōnios g166)
we [are] not looking to the things seen, but to the things not seen; for the things seen [are] temporary, but the things not seen [are] continuous. (aiōnios g166)
