1 Coríntios 6

1 Ousa algum de vós, tendo algum negocio contra outro, ir a juizo perante os injustos, e não perante os sanctos?

Dare any of you, when he hath a controversy with his brother, litigate before the iniquitous, and not before the sanctified?

2 Não sabeis vós que os sanctos hão de julgar o mundo? Ora, se o mundo deve ser julgado por vós, sois porventura indignos de julgar as coisas minimas?

Or know ye not, that the sanctified will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are ye unfit to decide trivial causes?

3 Não sabeis vós que havemos de julgar os anjos? Quanto mais as coisas pertencentes a esta vida?

Know ye not, that we shall judge angels? How much more things that are of the world?

4 Assim que, se tiverdes negocios em juizo, pertencentes a esta vida, ponde na cadeira aos que são de menos estima na egreja.

But if ye have a controversy about a worldly matter, seat ye on the bench for you those who are contemned in the church!

5 Para vos envergonhar o digo: Não ha pois entre vós sabios, nem ainda um, que possa julgar entre seus irmãos?

For shame to you I say it. So, there is not even one wise man among you, who is competent to do equity between a brother and his brother:

6 Mas o irmão vae a juizo com o irmão, e isto perante infieis.

but a brother litigateth with his brother, and also before them that believe not!

7 Assim que é já realmente uma falta entre vós, terdes demandas uns contra os outros. Porque não soffreis antes a injustiça? Porque não soffreis antes o damno

Now therefore ye condemn yourselves, in that ye have litigation one with another. For why do ye not rather suffer wrong? why not rather be defrauded?

8 Mas vós mesmos fazeis a injustiça e fazeis o damno; e isto aos irmãos.

But ye yourselves commit wrong, and ye defraud even your brethren.

9 Não sabeis que os injustos não hão de herdar o reino de Deus?

Or do ye not know, that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not mistake; neither whoremongers, nor idol-worshippers, nor adulterers, nor debauchers, nor liers with males,

10 Não erreis: nem os fornicadores, nem os idolatras, nem os adulteros, nem os effeminados, nem os sodomitas, nem os ladrões, nem os avarentos, nem os bebedos, nem os maldizentes, nem os roubadores herdarão o reino de Deus.

nor the avaricious, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 E é o que alguns teem sido, mas haveis sido lavados, mas haveis sido sanctificados, mas haveis sido justificados em nome do Senhor Jesus, e pelo Espirito do nosso Deus.

And these things have been in some of you: but ye are washed, and are sanctified, and made righteous, in the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, and by the Spirit of our God.

12 Todas as coisas me são licitas, mas nem todas as coisas conveem: todas as coisas me são licitas; porém eu não me deixarei dominar por nenhuma.

Every thing is in my power: but every thing is not profitable to me. Every thing is in my power; but none of them shall have dominion over me.

13 Os manjares são para o ventre e o ventre para os manjares; porém Deus aniquilará, tanto um como os outros. Porém o corpo não é para a fornicação, mas para o Senhor, e o Senhor para o corpo

Food is for the belly; and the belly is for food; but God will bring them both to naught. But the body is not for whoredom, but for our Lord; and our Lord for the body.

14 Ora Deus, que tambem resuscitou o Senhor, nos resuscitará a nós pelo seu poder.

And God hath raised up our Lord; and he will raise us up, by his power.

15 Não sabeis vós que os vossos corpos são membros de Christo? Tomarei pois os membros de Christo, e fal-os-hei membros de uma meretriz? Não, por certo.

Know ye not, that your bodies are the members of the Messiah? Shall one take a member of the Messiah, and make it the member of a harlot? Far be it.

16 Ou não sabeis que o que se ajunta com a meretriz, faz-se um corpo? Porque serão, disse, dois n'uma só carne.

Or know ye not, that whoever joineth himself to a harlot, is one body with her? For it is said, They twain shall be one body.

17 Mas o que se ajunta com o Senhor é um mesmo espirito.

But he that joineth himself to our Lord, is with him one spirit.

18 Fugi da fornicação. Todo o peccado que o homem commette é fóra do corpo; mas o que fornica pecca contra o seu proprio corpo.

Flee whoredom. For every other sin which a man committeth, is external to his body; but he that committeth whoredom, sinneth against his own body.

19 Ou não sabeis que o nosso corpo é o templo do Espirito Sancto, que habita em vós, o qual tendes de Deus, e que não sois de vós mesmos?

Or know ye not, that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who abideth in you, whom ye have received from God? And ye are not your own.

20 Porque fostes comprados por preço; glorificae pois a Deus no vosso corpo, e no vosso espirito, os quaes pertencem a Deus.

For ye are bought with a price. Therefore, glorify ye God, with your body, and with your spirit, which are God's.
