1 Crônicas 17
1 Succedeu pois que, morando David já em sua casa, disse David ao propheta Nathan: Eis que moro em casa de cedros, mas a arca do concerto do Senhor está debaixo de cortinas.
Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in a house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD [remaineth] under curtains.
2 Então Nathan disse a David: Tudo quanto tens no teu coração faze, porque Deus é comtigo.
Then Nathan said to David, Do all that [is] in thy heart; for God [is] with thee.
3 Mas succedeu, na mesma noite, que a palavra do Senhor veiu a Nathan, dizendo:
And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
4 Vae, e dize a David meu servo: Assim diz o Senhor: Tu me não edificarás uma casa para morar;
Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me a house to dwell in:
5 Porque em casa nenhuma morei, desde o dia em que fiz subir a Israel até ao dia de hoje; mas fui de tenda em tenda, e de tabernaculo em tabernaculo.
For I have not dwelt in a house since the day that I brought up Israel to this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from [one] tabernacle [to another].
6 Por todas as partes por onde andei com todo o Israel, porventura fallei alguma palavra a algum dos juizes de Israel, a quem ordenei que apascentasse o meu povo, dizendo: Porque me não edificaes uma casa de cedros?
Wherever I have walked with all Israel, have I spoken a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me a house of cedars?
7 Agora pois assim dirás a meu servo, a David: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exercitos: Eu te tirei do curral, de detraz das ovelhas, para que fosses chefe do meu povo Israel.
Now therefore thus shalt thou say to my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheep-cote, [even] from following the sheep, that thou shouldst be ruler over my people Israel:
8 E estive comtigo por toda a parte, por onde foste, e de diante de ti exterminei todos os teus inimigos, e te fiz um nome como o nome dos grandes que estão na terra.
And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thy enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that [are] in the earth.
9 E ordenei um logar para o meu povo Israel, e o plantei, para que habite no seu logar, e nunca mais seja removido d'uma para outra parte; e nunca mais os debilitarão os filhos da perversidade, como ao principio;
Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning.
10 E desde os dias em que ordenei juizes sobre o meu povo Israel; porém abati a todos os teus inimigos: tambem te fiz saber que o Senhor te edificaria uma casa.
And since the time that I commanded judges [to be] over my people Israel. Moreover, I will subdue all thy enemies. Furthermore, I tell thee that the LORD will build thee a house.
11 E ha de ser que, quando forem cumpridos os teus dias, para ires a teus paes, suscitarei a tua semente depois de ti, a qual será dos teus filhos, e confirmarei o seu reino.
And it shall come to pass, when thy days shall be ended that thou must go [to be] with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, who shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
12 Este me edificará casa; e eu confirmarei o seu throno para sempre.
He shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne for ever.
13 Eu lhe serei por pae, e elle me será por filho: e a minha benignidade não desviarei d'elle, como a tirei d'aquelle, que foi antes de ti.
I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took [it] from [him] that was before thee:
14 Mas o confirmarei na minha casa e no meu reino para sempre, e o seu throno será firme para sempre.
But I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
15 Conforme todas estas palavras, e conforme toda esta visão, assim fallou Nathan a David.
According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak to David.
16 Então entrou o rei David, e ficou perante o Senhor: e disse: Quem sou eu, Senhor Deus? e qual é a minha casa, que me trouxestes até aqui?
And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who [am] I, O LORD God, and what [is] my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
17 E ainda isto, ó Deus, foi pouco aos teus olhos; pelo que fallaste da casa de teu servo para tempos distantes: e proveste-me, segundo o costume dos homens, com esta exaltação, ó Senhor Deus.
And [yet] this was a small thing in thy eyes, O God; for thou hast [also] spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
18 Que mais te dirá David, ácerca da honra feita a teu servo? porém tu bem conheces a teu servo.
What can David [speak] more to thee for the honor of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
19 Ó Senhor, por amor de teu servo, e segundo o teu coração, fizeste todas estas grandezas, para fazer notorias todas estas grandes coisas.
O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thy own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all [these] great things.
20 Senhor, ninguem ha como tu, e não ha Deus fóra de ti, conforme tudo quanto ouvimos com os nossos ouvidos.
O LORD, [there] is none like thee, neither [is there any] God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
21 E quem ha como o teu povo Israel, unica gente na terra? a quem Deus foi remir para seu povo, fazendo-te nome com coisas grandes e temerosas, lançando as nações de diante do teu povo, que remiste do Egypto.
And what one nation in the earth [is] like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem [to be] his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?
22 E tomaste o teu povo Israel para ser teu povo para sempre: e tu, Senhor, lhe foste por Deus.
For thy people Israel didst thou make thy own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.
23 Agora pois, Senhor, a palavra que fallaste de teu servo, e ácerca da sua casa, seja certa para sempre: e faze como fallaste.
Therefore now, LORD, Let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
24 Confirme-se com effeito, e que o teu nome se engrandeça para sempre, e diga-se: O Senhor dos Exercitos, o Deus de Israel, é Deus para Israel; e fique firme diante de ti a casa de David teu servo.
Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts [is] the God of Israel, [even] a God to Israel: and [let] the house of David thy servant [be] established before thee.
25 Porque tu, Deus meu, revelaste ao ouvido de teu servo que lhe edificarias casa; pelo que o teu servo achou confiança para orar em tua presença.
For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him a house: therefore thy servant hath found [in his heart] to pray before thee.
26 Agora pois, Senhor, tu és o mesmo Deus, e fallaste este bem ácerca de teu servo.
And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness to thy servant:
27 Agora pois foste servido abençoares a casa de teu servo, para que esteja perpetuamente diante de ti: porque tu, Senhor, a abençoaste, e ficará abençoada para sempre.
Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and [it shall be] blessed for ever.
