The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, Thubal, Mosoch, Thiras.
6 E os filhos de Gomer: Asquenaz, e Riphat, e Togarma.
And the sons of Gomer: Ascenez, and Riphath, and Thogorma.
7 E os filhos de Javan: Elisa, e Tarsis, e Chittim, e Dodanim.
And the sons of Javan: Elisa and Tharsis, Cethim and Dodanim.
8 Os filhos de Cão: Cus, e Mitsraim, e Put e Canaan.
The sons of Cham: Chus, and Mesrai, and Phut, and Chaanan.
9 E os filhos de Cus eram Seba, e Havila, e Sabta, e Raema, e Sabtecha: e os filhos de Raema eram Seba e Dedan.
And the sons of Chus: Saba, and Hevila, Sabatha, and Regma, and Sabathaca. And the sons of Regma: Saba, and Dadan.
10 E Cus gerou a Nemrod, que começou a ser poderoso na terra.
Now Chus begot Nemrod: he began to be mighty upon earth.
11 E Mitsraim gerou aos ludeos, e aos anameos, e aos lehabeos, e aos naphtuheos,
But Mesraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Laabim, and Nephtuim,
12 E aos pathruseos, e aos casluchros (dos quaes procederam os philisteos), e aos caftoreos.
Phetrusim also, and Casluim: from whom came the Philistines, and Caphtorim.
13 E Canaan gerou a Sidon, seu primogenito, e a Het,

18 E Arphaxad gerou a Selah: e Selah gerou a Heber.
And Arphaxad beget Sale, and Sale beget Heber.
19 E a Heber nasceram dois filhos: o nome d'um foi Peleg, porquanto nos seus dias se repartiu a terra, e o nome de seu irmão era Joktan.

23 E a Ophir, e a Havila, e a Jobab: todos estes foram filhos de Joktan.

24 Sem, Arphaxad, Selah,

25 Heber, Peleg, Rehu,

28 Os filhos de Abrahão foram Isaac e Ishmael.

39 E os filhos de Lothan: Hori e Homam; e a irmã de Lothan foi Timna.

40 Os filhos de Sobal eram Alian, e Manahath, e Ebel, Sephi e Onam: e os filhos de Zibeon eram Aya e Ana.

41 Os filhos de Ana foram Dison: e os filhos de Dison foram Hamran, e Esban, e Ithran, e Cheran.
The sons of Dison: Hamram, and Eseban, and Jethran, and Charan.
42 Os filhos de Eser eram Bilhan, e Zaavan, e Jaakan: os filhos de Disan eram Uz e Aran.
The sons of Eser: Balaan, and Zavan, and Jacan. The sons of Disan: Hus and Aran.
43 E estes são os reis que reinaram na terra d'Edom, antes que reinasse rei sobre os filhos d'Israel: Bela, filho de Beor; e era o nome da sua cidade Dinhaba.
Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there was a king over the children of Israel: Bale the son of Beer: and the name of his city was Denaba.
44 E morreu Bela, e reinou em seu logar Jobab, filho de Zerah, de Bosra.

And Husam also died, and Adad the son of Badad reigned in his stead, and he defeated the Madianites in the land of Moab: and the name of his city was Avith.
47 E morreu Hadad, e reinou em seu logar Samla, de Masreka.
And when Adad also was dead, Semla of Masreca reigned in his stead.
48 E morreu Samla, e reinou em seu logar Saul, de Rehoboth, junto ao rio.
Semla also died, and Saul of Rohoboth, which is near the river, reigned in his stead.
49 E morreu Saul, e reinou em seu logar Baal-hanan, filho de Acbor.
And when Saul was dead, Balanan the son of Achobor reigned in his stead.
50 E, morrendo Baal-hanan, Hadad reinou em seu logar; e era o nome da sua cidade Pae: e o nome de sua mulher era Mehetabeel, filha de Matred, a filha de Mezahab.
He also died, and Adad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Phau, and his wife was called Meetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezaab.
51 E, morrendo Hadad, foram principes em Edom o principe Timna, o principe Alya, o principe Jetheth,
And after the death of Adad, there began to be dukes in Edom instead of kings: duke Thamna, duke Alva, duke Jetheth,
52 O principe Aholibama, o principe Ela, o principe Pinon,

53 O principe Quenaz, o principe Teman, o principe Mibzar,

54 O principe Magdiel, o principe Iram: estes foram os principes d'Edom.
