Zachariasza 7
1 W czwartym roku króla Dariusza słowo PANA doszło do Zachariasza, czwartego [dnia] dziewiątego miesiąca, [to] jest [w miesiącu] Kislew;
And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth [day] of the ninth month, even in Chislev.
2 Gdy [lud] posłał do domu Bożego Saresera i Regem-Meleka z ich ludźmi, aby się modlili przed PANEM;
Now [they of] Beth-el had sent Sharezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to entreat the favour of the LORD,
3 [I] aby zapytali kapłanów, którzy [byli] w domu PANA zastępów, a także proroków: Czy w piątym miesiącu mam [jeszcze] płakać, poświęcając się, jak to już czyniłem przez tyle lat?
[and] to speak unto the priests of the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
4 Doszło do mnie słowo PANA zastępów mówiące:
Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying,
5 Powiedz do całego ludu tej ziemi i do kapłanów: Gdy pościliście i płakaliście w piątym i siódmym [miesiącu] przez te siedemdziesiąt lat, czy pościliście dla mnie?
Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh [month], even these seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?
6 A gdy jecie i pijecie, czy nie dla siebie jecie i nie dla siebie pijecie?
And when ye eat, and when ye drink, do not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
7 Czy nie [należało raczej czynić] według słowa, które PAN głosił przez dawnych proroków, gdy Jerozolima była jeszcze zamieszkana i zażywała pokoju, a także jej okoliczne miasta, gdy południe i równina były zamieszkane?
[Should ye] not [hear] the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?
8 I słowo PANA doszło do Zachariasza mówiące:
And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,
9 Tak mówi PAN zastępów: Sądźcie sprawiedliwie i okazujcie miłosierdzie i litość, każdy swojemu bratu.
Thus hath the LORD of hosts spoken, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassion every man to his brother:
10 Nie uciskajcie wdowy i sieroty, obcego i ubogiego i nie obmyślajcie zła w swoich sercach, jedni przeciwko drugim.
and oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
11 Ale oni nie chcieli słuchać i odwrócili się plecami, i zatkali swoje uszy, aby nie słyszeć.
But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
12 Zatwardzili swoje serca [jak] diament, aby nie słuchać prawa i słów, które posyłał PAN zastępów przez swego Ducha za pośrednictwem dawnych proroków. Dlatego nadszedł wielki gniew od PANA zastępów.
Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by his spirit by the hand of the former prophets: therefore came there great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
13 I stało się tak, że podobnie jak gdy on wołał, a [oni] nie słuchali, tak [też gdy oni] wołali, ja ich nie wysłuchałem, mówi PAN zastępów.
And it came to pass that, as he cried, and they would not hear; so they shall cry, and I will not hear, said the LORD of hosts;
14 I rozproszyłem ich wichrem pomiędzy wszystkimi narodami, których nie znali, a ta ziemia opustoszała po nich, [tak] że nikt nie przechodził ani nie wracał. Zamienili bowiem rozkoszną ziemię w spustoszenie.
but I will scatter them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.
