Zachariasza 11
1 Otwórz swe wrota, Libanie, niech ogień strawi twoje cedry.
Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
2 Zawódź, jodło, bo upadł cedr, bo wielcy są spustoszeni. Zawódźcie, dęby Baszanu, bo niedostępny las został wycięty.
Wail, O cypress-tree, for the cedar is fallen; because the glorious ones are spoiled; wail, O ye oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest is come down.
3 [Słychać] głos narzekania pasterzy, bo ich wspaniałość została zburzona; [słychać] głos ryku lwiąt, bo pycha Jordanu jest zburzona.
Hark! the wailing of the shepherds, for their glory is spoiled; Hark! the roaring of young lions, for the thickets of the Jordan are spoiled.
4 Tak mówi PAN, mój Bóg: Paś owce przeznaczone na rzeź;
Thus said the LORD my God: 'Feed the flock of slaughter;
5 Które kupcy zabijają, a nie czują się winni, a sprzedający je mówią: Błogosławiony PAN, że się wzbogaciłem. A ich pasterze nie mają dla nich litości.
whose buyers slay them, and hold themselves not guilty; and they that sell them say: Blessed be the LORD, for I am rich; and their own shepherds pity them not.
6 Dlatego już nie będę miał litości dla mieszkańców tej ziemi, mówi PAN. Oto wydam tych ludzi, każdego z nich, w ręce jego bliźniego i w ręce jego króla. I zniszczą ziemię, a nikogo nie wyrwę z ich rąk.
For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD; but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king; and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.'
7 Będę więc pasł owce przeznaczone na rzeź, was, [mówię], biedne owce! Wziąłem sobie dwie laski, jedną nazwałem Piękno, a drugą nazwałem Więzy, i pasłem te [owce].
So I fed the flock of slaughter, verily the poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Graciousness, and the other I called Binders; and I fed the flock.
8 Zgładziłem trzech pasterzy w jednym miesiącu; i moja dusza czuła niechęć do nich, a ich dusza też brzydziła się mną.
And I cut off the three shepherds in one month; 'for My soul became impatient of them, and their soul also loathed Me.'
9 Wtedy powiedziałem: Nie będę was pasł. Co umiera, niech umrze, a co ma być zgładzone, niech będzie zgładzone, a ci, [co] pozostaną, niech każdy pożera ciało drugiego.
Then said I: 'I will not feed you; that which dieth, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let them that are left eat every one the flesh of another.'
10 Wziąłem więc swoją laskę, Piękno, i złamałem ją, aby zerwać swoje przymierze, które zawarłem z całym ludem.
And I took my staff Graciousness, and cut it asunder, 'that I might break My covenant which I had made with all the peoples.'
11 I zostało zerwane w tym dniu, a biedni spośród trzody, którzy przyglądali się mnie, poznali, że [to] słowo PANA.
And it was broken in that day; and the poor of the flock that gave heed unto me knew of a truth that it was the word of the LORD.
12 Potem powiedziałem do nich: Jeśli to jest dobre w waszych oczach, dajcie mi moją zapłatę, a jeśli nie, zaniechajcie [jej]. Odważyli więc moją zapłatę: trzydzieści srebrników.
And I said unto them: 'If ye think good, give me my hire; and if not, forbear.' So they weighed for my hire thirty pieces of silver.
13 Potem PAN powiedział do mnie: Rzuć je przed garncarza. Wspaniała to zapłata, na jaką mnie tak drogo oszacowali! Wziąłem więc trzydzieści srebrników i rzuciłem je przed garncarza w domu PANA.
And the LORD said unto me: 'Cast it into the treasury, the goodly price that I was prized at of them.' And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them into the treasury, in the house of the LORD.
14 Potem złamałem swoją drugą laskę, Więzy, aby zerwać braterstwo między Judą a Izraelem.
Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Binders, that the brotherhood between Judah and Israel might be broken.
15 I PAN powiedział do mnie: Weź sobie jeszcze narzędzie głupiego pasterza.
And the LORD said unto me: 'Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
16 Oto bowiem wzbudzę pasterza w tej ziemi, [który] nie będzie troszczył się o zaginione, nie będzie szukał jagniątek, nie będzie leczyć okaleczonych i tego, co stoi, nie będzie karmił. Ale będzie jeść mięso tucznych, a ich kopyta oberwie.
For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not think of those that are cut off, neither will seek those that are young, nor heal that which is broken; neither will he feed that which standeth still, but he will eat the flesh of the fat, and will break their hoofs in pieces.'
17 Biada pasterzowi nieużytecznemu, który opuszcza trzodę! Niech spadnie miecz na jego ramię i na jego prawe oko. Jego ramię całkiem uschnie, a jego prawe oko całkiem oślepnie.
Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaveth the flock! The sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye; his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
