Objawienie 12
1 I ukazał się wielki cud na niebie: Kobieta ubrana w słońce i księżyc pod jej nogami, a na jej głowie korona z dwunastu gwiazd.
And a great wonder was seen in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a coronet of twelve stars.
2 A była brzemienna i krzyczała w bólach porodowych i w mękach rodzenia.
And, being with child, she cried, and travailed, and had the pangs of bringing forth.
3 I ukazał się inny cud na niebie: Oto wielki rudy smok mający siedem głów i dziesięć rogów, a na jego głowach siedem koron.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and lo, a great fiery dragon, which had seven heads and ten horns, and upon his head seven diadems.
4 A jego ogon wlókł trzecią część gwiazd nieba i zrzucił je na ziemię. I stanął smok przed kobietą, która [właśnie] miała urodzić, aby gdy tylko urodzi, pożreć jej dziecko.
And his tail drew along the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them on the earth. And the dragon was standing before the woman, who was about to bring forth, so that, when she should bring forth, he might devour her child.
5 I urodziła syna – mężczyznę, który będzie rządził wszystkimi narodami laską żelazną. I porwane zostało jej dziecko do Boga i do jego tronu;
And she brought forth a male child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up to God and to his throne.
6 A kobieta uciekła na pustynię, gdzie ma miejsce przygotowane przez Boga, aby ją tam żywiono przez tysiąc dwieście sześćdziesiąt dni.
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place which was prepared for her by God; so that they might nourish her there a thousand and two hundred and sixty days.
7 I nastąpiła walka w niebie. Michał i jego aniołowie walczyli ze smokiem. I walczył smok i jego aniołowie;
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought,
8 Ale nie zwyciężyli i nie było już dla nich miejsca w niebie.
and prevailed not; nor was their place found any more in heaven.
9 I zrzucony został wielki smok, wąż starodawny, zwany diabłem i szatanem, zwodzący cały świat. Został zrzucony na ziemię, z nim też zrzuceni zostali jego aniołowie.
And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent, who is called the Deceiver, and Satan, who seduceth all the inhabited world: he was cast upon the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 I usłyszałem donośny głos mówiący w niebie: Teraz nastało zbawienie, moc i królestwo naszego Boga, i władza jego Chrystusa, bo został zrzucony oskarżyciel naszych braci, który dniem i nocą oskarżał ich przed naszym Bogiem.
And I heard a great voice in heaven, which said: Now is there deliverance, and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the dominion of his Messiah: because the Accuser of our brethren is cast out, who accused them day and night before our God.
11 Ale oni zwyciężyli go przez krew Baranka i przez słowo swego świadectwa i nie umiłowali swojego życia – aż do śmierci.
And they overcame him, because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony: and they loved not their life, even to death.
12 Dlatego radujcie się niebiosa i wy, ich mieszkańcy. Biada [mieszkańcom] ziemi i morza, bo zszedł do was diabeł pałający wielkim gniewem, gdyż wie, że ma niewiele czasu.
Therefore, be joyful, O heaven, and ye that dwell there. Woe to the earth, and to the sea; for the Deceiver hath come down to you, being in great wrath since he knoweth that his time is short.
13 A gdy smok zobaczył, że został zrzucony na ziemię, zaczął prześladować kobietę, która urodziła mężczyznę.
And when the dragon saw that he was cast out upon the earth, he persecuted the woman who brought forth the male child.
14 I dano kobiecie dwa skrzydła wielkiego orła, aby poleciała na pustynię, na swoje miejsce, gdzie jest żywiona przez czas i czasy, i połowę czasu, z dala od węża.
And to the woman were given the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, to her place; where she is nourished a time and times and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 I wyrzucił wąż ze swojej paszczy za kobietą wodę jak rzekę, aby ją rzeka porwała.
And the serpent ejected from his mouth waters like a river, after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.
16 Lecz ziemia przyszła kobiecie z pomocą i otworzyła ziemia swą gardziel, i pochłonęła rzekę, którą smok wyrzucił ze swojej paszczy.
And the earth helped the woman: and the earth opened its mouth, and drank up the flood which the serpent ejected from his mouth.
17 I rozgniewał się smok na kobietę, i odszedł, aby walczyć z resztą jej potomstwa, z tymi, którzy zachowują przykazania Boga i mają świadectwo Jezusa Chrystusa.
And the dragon was enraged against the woman; and he went to make war upon the residue of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus. [ (Revelation of John 12:18) And he stood on the sand of the sea. ]
