1 Przewodnikowi chóru, na Gittyt. Psalm dla synów Korego. O, jak miłe [są] twoje przybytki, PANIE zastępów!
To the Chief Musician. On "the Gittith." For the Sons of Korah. A Melody. How lovely are thy habitations, O Yahweh of hosts!
2 Moja dusza wzdycha i omdlewa z tęsknoty do przedsionków PANA; moje serce i ciało wołają radośnie do Boga żywego.
My soul, longeth—yea even languisheth—for the courts of Yahweh, —My heart and my flesh, shout aloud for a Living GOD.
3 Oto nawet wróbel znalazł sobie dom i jaskółka gniazdo, gdzie składa swe pisklęta, u twoich ołtarzy, PANIE zastępów, mój Królu i mój Boże!
Even the sparrow, hath found a home, And, the swallow, a nest for herself, where she hath laid her young, Thine altars, O Yahweh of hosts, My king and my God!
4 Błogosławieni ci, którzy mieszkają w twoim domu, nieustannie będą cię chwalić. (Sela)
How happy are they who abide in thy house, —Still are they praising thee. (Selah)
5 Błogosławiony człowiek, którego siła [jest] w tobie, w którego sercu są twoje drogi;
How happy the men whose strength is in thee, Festive processions are in their heart.
6 Ci, którzy przechodząc przez dolinę Baka, zmieniają ją w źródło, a deszcz okrywa [ją] błogosławieństwem.
Passing through the balsam-vale, A place of fountains, they make it, Yea, with blessings, is it covered by the early rain.
7 I idą z mocy w moc, i ukażą się przed Bogiem na Syjonie.
They go from strength to strength, Each one appeareth before God in Zion.
8 O PANIE, Boże zastępów, wysłuchaj mojej modlitwy, nakłoń ucha, Boże Jakuba. (Sela)
O Yahweh, God of hosts, hear thou my prayer, —Give hear, thou God of Jacob. (Selah)
9 Spójrz, Boże, nasza tarczo, i wejrzyj na oblicze twego pomazańca.
Our Shield, behold thou, O God, And look upon the face of thine Anointed One.
10 Lepszy bowiem jest jeden dzień w twoich przedsionkach niż tysiąc gdzie indziej; wolę raczej stać w progu domu mego Boga, niż mieszkać w namiotach niegodziwców.
For better is a day in thy courts, than a thousand, I choose rather to stand at the threshold in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of lawlessness.
11 PAN Bóg bowiem jest słońcem i tarczą, PAN obdarza łaską i chwałą, nie odmawia dobra tym, którzy postępują nienagannie.
For, a sun and shield, is Yahweh God, —Grace and glory, will Yahweh give, He will not withhold what is good, from them who walk without blame.
12 PANIE zastępów, błogosławiony człowiek, który ufa tobie.
O Yahweh of hosts! How happy the man who trusteth in thee!
