Psalmów 82

1 Psalm Asafa. Bóg stoi w zgromadzeniu Bożym, pośród bogów sprawuje sąd:

A psalm for Asaph. God hath stood in the congregation of gods: and being in the midst of them he judgeth gods.

2 Jak długo będziecie sądzić niesprawiedliwie i trzymać stronę niegodziwych? (Sela)

How long will you judge unjustly: and accept the persons of the wicked?

3 Bierzcie w obronę ubogiego i sierotę, oddajcie sprawiedliwość strapionemu i potrzebującemu.

Judge for the needy and fatherless: do justice to the humble and the poor.

4 Wyzwólcie biedaka i nędzarza, ocalcie go z ręki niegodziwych.

Rescue the poor; and deliver the needy out of the hand of the sinner.

5 [Lecz oni] nic nie wiedzą i nie rozumieją, ciągle chodzą w ciemności; zachwiały się wszystkie fundamenty ziemi.

They have not known nor understood: they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be moved.

6 Powiedziałem: Jesteście bogami i wszyscy wy jesteście synami Najwyższego.

I have said: You are gods and all of you the sons of the most High.

7 Lecz pomrzecie jak [inni] ludzie i upadniecie jak jeden z książąt.

But you like men shall die: and shall fall like one of the princes.

8 Powstań, Boże, osądź ziemię, bo ty otrzymasz w dziedzictwo wszystkie narody.

Arise, O God, judge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherit among all the nations.
