Psalmów 64

1 Przewodnikowi chóru. Psalm Dawida. Wysłuchaj, o Boże, mego głosu, gdy się modlę; zachowaj moje życie od strachu przed wrogiem.

“To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint: preserve my life from the dread of the enemy.

2 Ukryj mnie przed tajemną radą złoczyńców, przed zgrają czyniących nieprawość;

Hide me from the secret counsel of evil-doers, from the tumultuous assault of the workers of wickedness;

3 Którzy naostrzyli swój język jak miecz, nałożyli swoje strzały, słowa jadowite;

Who whet their tongue like a sword, who aim with their arrow, the bitter word:

4 Aby strzelać z ukrycia w niewinnego; strzelają znienacka i nikogo się nie boją.

To shoot in secret at the innocent; suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

5 Utwierdzają się w złym zamiarze, zmawiają się, jak ukryć pułapki, i mówią: Któż je zobaczy?

They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they tell secretly of laying snares: they say, Who will see them?

6 Szukają nieprawości, starannie jej poszukują; ich wnętrze i serce są głębokie.

They search out iniquities; “We are ready with the carefully searched out device:” and the inward thought and heart of each is deeply [hidden].

7 Ale Bóg wypuści na nich strzałę, nagle odniosą rany;

But God shooteth at them suddenly [his] arrow; —[thence] are come their wounds.

8 Własny język doprowadzi ich do upadku; wszyscy, którzy ich zobaczą, uciekną.

And their own tongues will stumble over themselves: all that look on them will shake their head.

9 I zlękną się wszyscy ludzie, będą opowiadali o dziele Boga i zrozumieją jego czyny.

All men shall fear, and shall declare the deeds of God, and understand his works.

10 A sprawiedliwy będzie się weselić w PANU i będzie mu ufał; i będą się chlubili wszyscy prawego serca.

The righteous shall rejoice in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glorify themselves.
