Psalmów 50
1 Psalm Asafa. Bóg nad bogami, PAN, przemówił i wezwał ziemię od wschodu słońca aż do jego zachodu.
The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down thereof.
2 Z Syjonu, doskonałego piękna, zajaśniał Bóg.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.
3 Nasz Bóg przyjdzie i nie będzie milczał; ogień będzie trawił przed nim, a wokół niego powstanie potężna burza.
Our God comes, and does not keep silence. A fire devours before him, and it is very tempestuous round about him.
4 Wezwie z góry niebiosa i ziemię, aby sądzić swój lud:
He calls to the heavens above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
5 Zgromadźcie mi moich świętych, którzy zawarli ze mną przymierze przez ofiarę.
Gather my sanctified together to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
6 Wtedy niebiosa ogłoszą jego sprawiedliwość, bo sam Bóg [jest] sędzią. (Sela)
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness, for God is judge himself. (Selah)
7 Słuchaj, mój ludu, a będę mówił; słuchaj, Izraelu, a będę świadczył przeciw tobie: Ja [jestem] Bogiem, twoim Bogiem.
Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify to thee, I am God, even thy God.
8 Nie będę cię ganił za twoje ofiary ani za twoje całopalenia, które są zawsze przede mną.
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, and thy burnt offerings being continually before me.
9 Nie przyjmę cielca z twojego domu ani kozłów z twoich zagród.
I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds.
10 Do mnie bowiem należy wszelkie zwierzę leśne i tysiące bydła na górach.
For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11 Znam wszelkie ptactwo górskie i moje są zwierzęta polne.
I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
12 Gdybym był głodny, nie mówiłbym ci o tym, bo mój [jest] świat i wszystko, co go napełnia.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee, for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof.
13 Czyż będę jadł mięso wołów albo pił krew kozłów?
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14 Ofiaruj Bogu dziękczynienie i spełnij swoje śluby wobec Najwyższego;
Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay thy vows to the Most High.
15 I wzywaj mnie w dniu utrapienia; wtedy cię wybawię, a [ty] mnie uwielbisz.
And call upon me in the day of trouble. I will deliver thee, and thou shall glorify me.
16 Lecz do niegodziwego Bóg mówi: Po co ogłaszasz moje prawa i masz na ustach moje przymierze;
But to the wicked man God says, What have thou to do to declare my statutes, and that thou have taken my covenant in thy mouth,
17 Skoro nienawidzisz karności i rzucasz za siebie moje słowa?
since thou hate instruction, and cast my words behind thee?
18 Gdy widzisz złodzieja, pochwalasz go, i zadajesz się z cudzołożnikami.
When thou saw a thief, thou consented with him, and have been partaker with adulterers.
19 Pozwalasz swym ustom źle mówić, a twój język knuje podstępy.
Thou give thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frames deceit.
20 Siedzisz i mówisz przeciwko twemu bratu, obmawiasz syna swej matki.
Thou sit and speak against thy brother; thou slander thine own mother's son.
21 To czyniłeś, a ja milczałem; sądziłeś, że jestem do ciebie podobny, [ale] będę cię napominał i postawię ci to przed oczy.
These things thou have done, and I kept silence. Thou thought that I was altogether such a one as thyself. But I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
22 Zrozumcie to teraz wy, którzy zapominacie o Bogu, bym [was] nie rozszarpał, a nie byłoby [nikogo], kto [by] was ocalił.
Now consider this, ye who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver:
23 Kto [mi] ofiaruje chwałę, ten oddaje mi cześć; a temu, kto chodzi [prostą] drogą, ukażę Boże zbawienie.
Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me. And to him who orders his way aright I will show the salvation of God.
