Psalmów 48

1 Pieśń i psalm dla synów Korego. Wielki jest PAN i godzien wielkiej chwały w mieście naszego Boga, na swej świętej górze.

A Song [and] Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great [is] the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, [in] the mountain of his holiness.

2 Pięknie wzniesiona, radością całej ziemi [jest] góra Syjon na krańcach północy, miasto wielkiego Króla.

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, [is] mount Zion, [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3 Bóg w pałacach jego jest uznany za twierdzę.

God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4 Bo oto zgromadzili się królowie i razem ruszyli.

For lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5 Gdy zobaczyli, zdumieli się, przerazili się i uciekli.

They saw [it], [and] so they wondered; they were troubled, [and] hasted away.

6 Strach ich tam ogarnął i ból, jak rodzącą kobietę.

Fear took hold upon them there, [and] pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 Wiatrem wschodnim rozbijasz okręty Tarszisz.

Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8 To, co słyszeliśmy, [to] zobaczyliśmy w mieście PANA zastępów, w mieście naszego Boga; Bóg je ugruntuje na wieki. (Sela)

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)

9 Rozważamy, o Boże, twoje miłosierdzie we wnętrzu twej świątyni.

We have thought of thy loving-kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 Jak twoje imię, Boże, tak i chwała twoja [sięga] aż po krańce ziemi; twoja prawica pełna jest sprawiedliwości.

According to thy name, O God, so [is] thy praise to the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 Niech się weseli góra Syjon, niech się radują córki Judy z powodu twoich sądów.

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12 Okrążcie Syjon i obejdźcie go, policzcie jego wieże.

Walk about Zion, and go round her: number her towers.

13 Przyjrzyjcie się jego wałom obronnym, oglądajcie jego pałace, abyście mogli opowiadać przyszłemu pokoleniu.

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell [it] to the generation following.

14 Bo ten Bóg jest naszym Bogiem na wieki wieków, on będzie nas prowadził aż do śmierci.

For this God [is] our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide [even] to death.
