Psalmów 33
1 Weselcie się w PANU, sprawiedliwi, [bo] prawym przystoi chwała.
Rejoice in Jehovah, O ye righteous. Praise is comely for the upright.
2 Wysławiajcie PANA na harfie, śpiewajcie mu przy cytrze [i] z instrumentem o dziesięciu strunach.
Give thanks to Jehovah with the harp. Sing praises to him with the psaltery of ten strings.
3 Śpiewajcie mu nową pieśń, pięknie i głośno mu grajcie.
Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a loud noise.
4 Słowo PANA bowiem [jest] prawe i wszystkie jego dzieła [są dokonane w] wierności.
For the word of Jehovah is right, and all his work is done in faithfulness.
5 On miłuje sprawiedliwość i sąd, pełna jest ziemia miłosierdzia PANA.
He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Jehovah.
6 Słowem PANA zostały uczynione niebiosa i tchnieniem jego ust wszystkie ich zastępy.
By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
7 On gromadzi wody morskie jak na stos i w skarbcach zbiera głębiny.
He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in store-houses.
8 Niech cała ziemia boi się PANA, niech się go lękają wszyscy mieszkańcy świata.
Let all the earth fear Jehovah. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9 On bowiem przemówił i stało się; on rozkazał i powstało.
For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood fast.
10 PAN udaremnia zamiary narodów, niweczy zamysły ludów.
Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to naught. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
11 Zamiar PANA trwa na wieki, myśli jego serca z pokolenia na pokolenie.
The counsel of Jehovah stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
12 Błogosławiony naród, którego Bogiem jest PAN; lud, który on wybrał sobie na dziedzictwo.
Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
13 PAN patrzy z nieba, widzi wszystkich synów ludzkich.
Jehovah looks from heaven. He beholds all the sons of men.
14 Z miejsca, w którym przebywa, spogląda na wszystkich mieszkańców ziemi.
From the place of his habitation he looks forth upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15 Ukształtował serce każdego z nich, przygląda się wszystkim ich czynom.
he who fashions the hearts of them all, who considers all their works.
16 Nie wybawi króla liczne wojsko [ani] nie ocali wojownika wielka siła.
There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17 Koń jest zwodniczy w wybawieniu, nie ocali swą wielką siłą.
A horse is a vain thing for safety, nor does he deliver any by his great power.
18 Oto oko PANA nad tymi, którzy się go boją, nad tymi, którzy ufają jego miłosierdziu;
Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon those who fear him, upon those who hope in his loving kindness,
19 Aby ocalić od śmierci ich duszę i żywić ich w czasie głodu.
to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Nasza dusza oczekuje PANA, on [jest] naszą pomocą i tarczą.
Our soul has waited for Jehovah. He is our help and our shield.
21 W nim bowiem rozraduje się nasze serce, bo ufamy jego świętemu imieniu.
For our heart shall rejoice in him because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Niech będzie nad nami twoje miłosierdzie, PANIE, według pokładanej w tobie nadziei.
Let thy loving kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.
