1 Przewodnikowi chóru. Psalm Dawida. PANIE, przeniknąłeś [mnie] i znasz mnie.
`To victorie, the salm of Dauith. Lord, thou hast preued me, and hast knowe me;
2 Wiesz, kiedy siedzę i wstaję, z daleka znasz moje myśli.
thou hast knowe my sitting, and my rising ayen.
3 Otaczasz moją ścieżkę i spoczynek, wszystkie moje drogi są ci znane.
Thou hast vndirstonde my thouytis fro fer; thou hast enquerid my path and my corde.
4 Zanim na [moim] języku pojawi się słowo, ty, PANIE, już je znasz.
And thou hast bifor seien alle my weies; for no word is in my tunge.
5 Otaczasz mnie z tyłu i z przodu i położyłeś na mnie twoją rękę.
Lo! Lord, thou hast knowe alle thingis, the laste thingis and elde; thou hast formed me, and hast set thin hond on me.
6 Zbyt cudowna jest dla mnie [twoja] wiedza; jest wzniosła, nie mogę jej pojąć.
Thi kunnyng is maad wondirful of me; it is coumfortid, and Y schal not mowe to it.
7 Dokąd ujdę przed twoim duchem? Dokąd ucieknę przed twoim obliczem?
Whidir schal Y go fro thi spirit; and whider schal Y fle fro thi face?
8 Jeśli wstąpię do nieba, [jesteś] tam; jeśli przygotuję sobie posłanie w piekle, tam też jesteś. (Sheol h7585)
If Y schal stie in to heuene, thou art there; if Y schal go doun to helle, thou art present. (Sheol h7585)
9 Gdybym wziął skrzydła zorzy porannej, aby zamieszkać na krańcu morza;
If Y schal take my fetheris ful eerli; and schal dwelle in the last partis of the see.
10 I tam twoja ręka prowadziłaby mnie i twoja prawica by mnie podtrzymała.
And sotheli thider thin hond schal leede me forth; and thi riyt hond schal holde me.
11 Jeśli powiem: Na pewno zakryją mnie ciemności, to i noc [będzie] dokoła mnie światłem.
And Y seide, In hap derknessis schulen defoule me; and the nyyt is my liytnyng in my delicis.
12 Nawet ciemność [nic] przed tobą nie skryje, dla ciebie noc świeci jak dzień, ciemność jest jak światłość.
For whi derknessis schulen not be maad derk fro thee, aud the niyt schal be liytned as the dai; as the derknessis therof, so and the liyt therof.
13 Ty bowiem panujesz nad moimi nerkami; okryłeś mnie w łonie mojej matki.
For thou haddist in possessioun my reines; thou tokist me vp fro the wombe of my modir.
14 Wysławiam cię, bo zostałem stworzony w sposób zadziwiający i cudowny; przedziwne są twoje dzieła, a moja dusza zna [je] bardzo dobrze.
I schal knouleche to thee, for thou art magnefied dreedfuli; thi werkis ben wondirful, and my soule schal knouleche ful miche.
15 Żadna moja kość nie była zakryta przed tobą, gdy zostałem stworzony w skrytości i misternie złożony w głębiach ziemi.
Mi boon, which thou madist in priuete, is not hyd fro thee; and my substaunce in the lower partis of erthe.
16 Twoje oczy widziały niedoskonały płód mego [ciała]; w twojej księdze są zapisane wszystkie [moje] członki i dni, w [które] były kształtowane, gdy jeszcze żadnego z nich nie było.
Thin iyen sien myn vnperfit thing, and alle men schulen be writun in thi book; daies schulen be formed, and no man is in tho.
17 Jak drogie są dla mnie twoje myśli, Boże! Jak wielka jest ich liczba!
Forsothe, God, thi frendis ben maad onourable ful myche to me; the princeheed of hem is coumfortid ful myche.
18 Gdybym chciał je zliczyć, byłoby ich więcej niż piasku; gdy się budzę, jeszcze jestem z tobą.
I schal noumbre hem, and thei schulen be multiplied aboue grauel; Y roos vp, and yit Y am with thee.
19 Zgładzisz, Boże, niegodziwego; niech odstąpią ode mnie ludzie krwawi;
For thou, God, schalt slee synneris; ye menquelleris, bowe awei fro me.
20 [Którzy] mówią obrzydliwości przeciwko tobie, twoi wrogowie nadaremnie biorą [twoje imię].
For ye seien in thouyt; Take thei her citees in vanite.
21 Czy nie nienawidzę tych, PANIE, którzy nienawidzą ciebie? I nie brzydzę się tymi, którzy przeciwko tobie powstają?
Lord, whether Y hatide not hem that hatiden thee; and Y failide on thin enemyes?
22 Nienawidzę ich pełnią nienawiści i mam [ich] za wrogów.
Bi perfite haterede Y hatide hem; thei weren maad enemyes to me.
23 Przeniknij mnie, Boże, i poznaj moje serce; wypróbuj mnie i poznaj moje myśli;
God, preue thou me, and knowe thou myn herte; axe thou me, and knowe thou my pathis.
24 I zobacz, czy [jest] we mnie droga nieprawości, a prowadź mnie drogą wieczną.
And se thou, if weie of wickidnesse is in me; and lede thou me forth in euerlastinge wei.
