Psalmów 124

1 Pieśń stopni Dawida. Gdyby PAN nie był z nami, niech powie teraz Izrael;

A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. BY DAVID. If YHWH had not been for us (Pray, let Israel say),

2 Gdyby PAN nie był z nami, gdy ludzie powstawali przeciwko nam;

If YHWH had not been for us, In the rising up of man against us,

3 Wtedy połknęliby nas żywcem, gdy płonęli gniewem przeciwko nam;

Then they had swallowed us alive, In the burning of their anger against us,

4 Wtedy wody zalałyby nas, [a] potok porwałby nasze dusze;

Then the waters had overflowed us, The stream passed over our soul,

5 Wtedy gwałtowne wody porwałyby nasze dusze.

Then proud waters had passed over our soul.

6 Błogosławiony PAN, który nas nie wydał na pastwę ich zębom.

Blessed [is] YHWH who has not given us, [As] prey to their teeth.

7 Nasza dusza umknęła jak ptak z sideł ptaszników; sidła się podarły, a my uciekliśmy.

Our soul has escaped as a bird from a snare of fowlers, The snare was broken, and we have escaped.

8 Nasza pomoc jest w imieniu PANA, który stworzył niebo i ziemię.

Our help [is] in the Name of YHWH, Maker of the heavens and earth!
