Psalmów 106
1 Alleluja. Wysławiajcie PANA, bo [jest] dobry, bo jego miłosierdzie [trwa] na wieki.
Hallelujah. O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever.
2 Któż wypowie wielkie dzieła PANA i ogłosi całą jego chwałę?
Who can express the mighty acts of the LORD, or make all His praise to be heard?
3 Błogosławieni, którzy strzegą sądu i czynią sprawiedliwość w każdym czasie.
Happy are they that keep justice, that do righteousness at all times.
4 Pamiętaj o mnie, PANIE, przez miłość do swego ludu; nawiedź mnie swoim zbawieniem;
Remember me, O LORD, when Thou favourest Thy people; O think of me at Thy salvation;
5 Abym widział szczęście twoich wybranych, cieszył się radością twego narodu i chlubił się razem z twoim dziedzictwem.
That I may behold the prosperity of Thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation, that I may glory with Thine inheritance.
6 Zgrzeszyliśmy wraz z naszymi ojcami, popełniliśmy nieprawość i postąpiliśmy niegodziwie.
We have sinned with our fathers, we have done iniquitously, we have dealt wickedly.
7 Nasi ojcowie w Egipcie nie zrozumieli twoich cudów, nie pamiętali wielkości twego miłosierdzia, lecz buntowali się nad Morzem Czerwonym.
Our fathers in Egypt gave no heed unto Thy wonders; they remembered not the multitude of Thy mercies; but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
8 A jednak ich wybawił przez wzgląd na swoje imię, aby okazać swą moc.
Nevertheless He saved them for His name's sake, that He might make His mighty power to be known.
9 Zgromił Morze Czerwone i wyschło; i przeprowadził ich przez głębiny [jak] przez pustynię.
And He rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up; and He led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.
10 Tak wybawił ich z ręki tego, który ich nienawidził, i odkupił ich z ręki wroga.
And He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 Wody okryły ich ciemięzców, nie został ani jeden z nich.
And the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left.
12 Wtedy uwierzyli jego słowom i śpiewali na jego chwałę.
Then believed they His words; they sang His praise.
13 Szybko [jednak] zapomnieli o jego dziełach, nie czekali na jego rady.
They soon forgot His works; they waited not for His counsel;
14 Pałali żądzą na pustyni, na próbę wystawiali Boga na pustkowiu.
But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tried God in the desert.
15 I dał im, czego żądali, lecz zesłał na ich dusze wycieńczenie.
And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
16 Gdy w obozie zazdrościli Mojżeszowi i Aaronowi, świętemu PANA;
They were jealous also of Moses in the camp, and of Aaron the holy one of the LORD.
17 Otworzyła się ziemia i pochłonęła Datana, i zakryła zgromadzenie Abirama;
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
18 I zapłonął ogień w tym zgromadzeniu, płomień spalił niegodziwych.
And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
19 Zrobili cielca na Horebie i odlanemu posągowi oddali pokłon;
They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped a molten image.
20 I zamienili swą chwałę na podobieństwo wołu jedzącego trawę.
Thus they exchanged their glory for the likeness of an ox that eateth grass.
21 Zapomnieli o Bogu, swoim wybawcy, który dokonywał wielkich czynów w Egipcie;
They forgot God their saviour, who had done great things in Egypt;
22 Cudownych dzieł w ziemi Chama, rzeczy strasznych nad Morzem Czerwonym.
Wondrous works in the land of Ham, terrible things by the Red Sea.
23 Dlatego powiedział, że wytraciłby ich, gdyby Mojżesz, jego wybrany, nie stanął w wyłomie przed nim, aby odwrócić jego gniew, by [ich] nie wytracił.
Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn back His wrath, lest He should destroy them.
24 Wzgardzili też wspaniałą ziemią, nie wierząc jego słowu.
Moreover, they scorned the desirable land, they believed not His word;
25 I szemrząc w swoich namiotach, nie byli posłuszni głosowi PANA.
And they murmured in their tents, they hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
26 Dlatego podniósł na nich swoją rękę, aby ich wytracić na pustyni;
Therefore He swore concerning them, that He would overthrow them in the wilderness;
27 Aby ich potomstwo rozrzucić wśród pogan i rozproszyć ich po ziemiach.
And that He would cast out their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
28 Przyłączyli się też do Baal-Peor i jedli ofiary [składane] umarłym.
They joined themselves also unto Baal of Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 Tak pobudzili [Boga] do gniewu swymi postępkami, że spadła na nich plaga;
Thus they provoked Him with their doings, and the plague broke in upon them.
30 Wtedy powstał Pinchas, dokonał sądu i plaga ustała.
Then stood up Phinehas, and wrought judgment, and so the plague was stayed.
31 Poczytano mu to za sprawiedliwość po wszystkie pokolenia, na wieki.
And that was counted unto him for righteousness, unto all generations for ever.
32 Rozgniewali go znowu u wód Meriba, [tak że] Mojżesz wiele ucierpiał z ich powodu;
They angered Him also at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses because of them;
33 Rozdrażnili bowiem jego ducha i mówił [nierozważnie] swymi ustami.
For they embittered his spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips.
34 Nie wytępili narodów, jak im to PAN nakazał.
They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them;
35 Lecz zmieszali się z tymi narodami i nauczyli się ich czynów;
But mingled themselves with the nations, and learned their works;
36 I służyli ich bożkom, które stały się dla nich pułapką.
And they served their idols, which became a snare unto them;
37 Ofiarowali bowiem demonom swoich synów i swoje córki;
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons,
38 I przelewali krew niewinną, krew swoich synów i córek, których ofiarowali bożkom Kanaanu, i ziemia została skalana rozlewem krwi.
And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Splamili się swymi czynami i cudzołożyli swymi postępkami.
Thus were they defiled with their works, and went astray in their doings.
40 Dlatego PAN zapłonął gniewem przeciw swemu ludowi, tak że obrzydził sobie swoje dziedzictwo.
Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against His people, and He abhorred His inheritance.
41 I wydał ich w ręce pogan, i panowali nad nimi ci, którzy ich nienawidzili.
And He gave them into the hand of the nations; and they that hated them ruled over them.
42 I uciskali ich wrogowie, ujarzmili ich swoją ręką.
Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were subdued under their hand.
43 Wielokrotnie ich ocalał, lecz oni rozgniewali go swymi zamysłami i zostali upokorzeni przez swoje nieprawości.
Many times did He deliver them; but they were rebellious in their counsel, and sank low through their iniquity.
44 A jednak wejrzał na ich ucisk i usłyszał ich wołanie.
Nevertheless He looked upon their distress, when He heard their cry;
45 Przypomniał sobie bowiem o swoim przymierzu z nimi i pożałował według swej wielkiej litości.
And He remembered for them His covenant, and repented according to the multitude of His mercies.
46 Wzbudził też litość dla nich u wszystkich, którzy ich uprowadzili w niewolę.
He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captive.
47 Wybaw nas, PANIE, nasz Boże, i zgromadź nas spośród pogan, abyśmy wysławiali twoje święte imię i chlubili się twoją chwałą.
Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks unto Thy holy name, that we may triumph in Thy praise.
48 Błogosławiony PAN, Bóg Izraela, od wieków na wieki; niech cały lud powie: Amen. Alleluja.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting, and let all the people say: 'Amen.' Hallelujah.
