1 To są dzieje rodu Aarona i Mojżesza w dniu, w którym PAN rozmawiał z Mojżeszem na górze Synaj.
This is the account of Aaron and Moses at the time the LORD spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai.
2 A to [są] imiona synów Aarona: pierworodny Nadab, potem Abihu, Eleazar i Itamar.
These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, then Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
3 To [są] imiona synów Aarona, namaszczonych kapłanów, których poświęcił, aby pełnili urząd kapłański.
These were Aaron’s sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.
4 Lecz Nadab i Abihu umarli przed PANEM, gdy ofiarowali inny ogień przed PANEM na pustyni Synaj, i odeszli bez potomków. Eleazar i Itamar pełnili więc urząd kapłański przed obliczem swego ojca Aarona.
Nadab and Abihu, however, died in the presence of the LORD when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD in the Wilderness of Sinai. And since they had no sons, only Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.
5 Wtedy PAN powiedział do Mojżesza:
Then the LORD said to Moses,
6 Każ się zbliżyć pokoleniu Lewiego i postaw ich przed kapłanem Aaronem, aby mu służyli;
“Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.
7 I pełnili straż, która go obowiązuje oraz straż całego zgromadzenia, przed Namiotem Zgromadzenia, wykonując służbę przybytku.
They are to perform duties for him and for the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, attending to the service of the tabernacle.
8 Będą strzec wszystkich sprzętów Namiotu Zgromadzenia i pełnić straż synów Izraela, wykonując służbę przybytku.
They shall take care of all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting and fulfill obligations for the Israelites by attending to the service of the tabernacle.
9 Oddasz więc Lewitów Aaronowi i jego synom; będą mu całkowicie oddani spośród synów Izraela.
Assign the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they have been given exclusively to him from among the Israelites.
10 Aarona zaś i jego synów ustanowisz, aby pełnili swoje kapłaństwo. A obcy, który się zbliży, poniesie śmierć.
So you shall appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out the duties of the priesthood; but any outsider who approaches the tabernacle must be put to death.”
11 Potem PAN powiedział do Mojżesza:
Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
12 Oto wziąłem Lewitów spośród synów Izraela na miejsce wszystkich pierworodnych, którzy otwierają łono wśród synów Izraela, i dlatego Lewici będą należeć do mnie.
“Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel in place of every firstborn Israelite from the womb. The Levites belong to Me,
13 Do mnie bowiem należy wszystko, co pierworodne. W dniu, kiedy zabiłem wszystko, co pierworodne w ziemi Egiptu, poświęciłem sobie wszystko, co pierworodne w Izraelu, od człowieka aż do zwierzęcia. Będą należeć do mnie; ja jestem PAN.
for all the firstborn are Mine. On the day I struck down every firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to Myself all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They are Mine; I am the LORD.”
14 PAN powiedział też do Mojżesza na pustyni Synaj:
Then the LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying,
15 Policz synów Lewiego według domów ich ojców i według ich rodzin. Policzysz każdego mężczyznę w wieku od jednego miesiąca wzwyż.
“Number the Levites by their families and clans. You are to count every male a month old or more.”
16 I Mojżesz policzył ich według słowa PANA, jak mu rozkazano.
So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he had been commanded.
17 Oto imiona synów Lewiego: Gerszon, Kehat i Merari.
These were the sons of Levi by name: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
18 A imiona synów Gerszona według ich domów: Libni i Szimei.
These were the names of the sons of Gershon by their clans: Libni and Shimei.
19 A synowie Kehata według swych domów: Amram, Ishar, Chebron i Uzziel.
The sons of Kohath by their clans were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
20 Synowie zaś Merariego według swych domów: Machli i Muszi. To są rodziny Lewiego według domów ich ojców.
And the sons of Merari by their clans were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites, according to their families.
21 Od Gerszona [pochodzi] rodzina Libnitów i rodzina Szimeitów. To są rodziny Gerszonitów.
From Gershon came the Libnite clan and the Shimeite clan; these were the Gershonite clans.
22 Liczba wszystkich policzonych mężczyzn w wieku od jednego miesiąca wzwyż [wynosiła] u nich siedem tysięcy pięciuset.
The number of all the males a month old or more was 7,500.
23 Rodziny Gerszonitów rozbiją obóz za przybytkiem od strony zachodniej.
The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle,
24 A wodzem domu ojca Gerszonitów [będzie] Eliasaf, syn Laela.
and the leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael.
25 A pod strażą synów Gerszona w Namiocie Zgromadzenia [będzie] przybytek i namiot, jego przykrycie i zasłona u wejścia do Namiotu Zgromadzenia;
The duties of the Gershonites at the Tent of Meeting were the tabernacle and tent, its covering, the curtain for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,
26 I zasłony dziedzińca, zasłona u wejścia na dziedziniec, który otacza przybytek i ołtarz wokoło, oraz jego sznury potrzebne do wszelkich prac.
the curtains of the courtyard, the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard that surrounds the tabernacle and altar, and the cords—all the service for these items.
27 Od Kehata zaś [pochodzą] rodziny: Amramitów, Isharytów, Chebronitów i Uzzielitów. To są rodziny Kehatytów.
From Kohath came the clans of the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites; these were the clans of the Kohathites.
28 Liczba wszystkich mężczyzn w wieku od jednego miesiąca wzwyż [wynosiła] osiem tysięcy sześciuset pełniących straż w świątyni.
The number of all the males a month old or more was 8,600. They were responsible for the duties of the sanctuary.
29 Rodziny synów Kehata rozbiją obóz po południowej stronie przybytku;
The clans of the Kohathites were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle,
30 A wodzem domu ojca rodziny Kehatytów [będzie] Elisafan, syn Uzziela.
and the leader of the families of the Kohathites was Elizaphan son of Uzziel.
31 Pod ich strażą będzie arka, stół, świecznik, ołtarze i sprzęty świątyni, którymi będą usługiwać, oraz zasłona wraz z całą jej obsługą.
Their duties were the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used with them, and the curtain—all the service for these items.
32 Naczelnym wodzem Lewitów [będzie] Eleazar, syn kapłana Aarona, on będzie miał nadzór nad tymi, którzy pełnią straż w świątyni.
The chief of the leaders of the Levites was Eleazar son of Aaron the priest; he oversaw those responsible for the duties of the sanctuary.
33 Od Merariego [pochodzą] zaś rodziny Machlitów i Muszytów. To są rodziny Merarytów.
From Merari came the clans of the Mahlites and Mushites; these were the Merarite clans.
34 A liczba wszystkich policzonych mężczyzn w wieku od jednego miesiąca wzwyż [wynosiła] u nich sześć tysięcy dwustu.
The number of all the males a month old or more was 6,200.
35 Wodzem zaś domu ojca rodzin Merariego [był] Suriel, syn Abichaila. [Oni] rozbiją obóz po stronie północnej przybytku.
The leader of the families of the Merarites was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.
36 A pod nadzorem i strażą synów Merariego będą deski przybytku, jego drążki, słupy i podstawki oraz wszystkie jego sprzęty wraz z całą jego obsługą;
The duties assigned to the sons of Merari were the tabernacle’s frames, crossbars, posts, bases, and all its equipment—all the service for these items,
37 Także słupy wokoło dziedzińca, ich podstawki, kołki i ich sznury.
as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes.
38 A przed przybytkiem od strony wschodniej, przed Namiotem Zgromadzenia, rozbiją obóz Mojżesz, Aaron i jego synowie, pełniący straż w świątyni za synów Izraela; a obcy, który się zbliży, poniesie śmierć.
Moses, Aaron, and Aaron’s sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, before the Tent of Meeting. They were to perform the duties of the sanctuary as a service on behalf of the Israelites; but any outsider who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.
39 Wszystkich Lewitów policzonych przez Mojżesza i Aarona na rozkaz PANA według ich rodzin, wszystkich mężczyzn w wieku od jednego miesiąca wzwyż [było] dwadzieścia dwa tysiące.
The total number of Levites that Moses and Aaron counted by their clans at the LORD’s command, including all the males a month old or more, was 22,000.
40 Wtedy PAN powiedział do Mojżesza: Policz wszystkich pierworodnych mężczyzn spośród synów Izraela w wieku od jednego miesiąca wzwyż i sporządź spis ich imion.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Number every firstborn male of the Israelites a month old or more, and list their names.
41 I weźmiesz dla mnie Lewitów – ja jestem PAN – w zamian za wszystkich pierworodnych spośród synów Izraela, a także bydła Lewitów zamiast wszystkiego, co pierworodne, wśród bydła synów Izraela.
You are to take the Levites for Me—I am the LORD—in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites.”
42 Mojżesz policzył więc wszystkich pierworodnych spośród synów Izraela, tak jak PAN mu rozkazał.
So Moses numbered all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the LORD had commanded him.
43 A liczba wszystkich pierworodnych mężczyzn w wieku od jednego miesiąca wzwyż, według liczby imion, wynosiła dwadzieścia dwa tysiące dwieście siedemdziesiąt trzy.
The total number of the firstborn males a month old or more, listed by name, was 22,273.
44 I PAN powiedział do Mojżesza:
Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
45 Weź Lewitów na miejsce wszystkich pierworodnych spośród synów Izraela, a także bydło Lewitów na miejsce ich bydła; i Lewici będą należeć do mnie. Ja jestem PAN.
“Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites belong to Me; I am the LORD.
46 A jako wykup za tych dwustu siedemdziesięciu trzech pierworodnych spośród synów Izraela, którzy przewyższają [liczbę] Lewitów;
To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who outnumber the Levites,
47 Weźmiesz po pięć syklów na głowę według sykla świątynnego: sykl po dwadzieścia ger.
you are to collect five shekels for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel of twenty gerahs.
48 I oddasz te pieniądze Aaronowi i jego synom jako wykup za tych, którzy przewyższają ich liczbę.
Give the money to Aaron and his sons as the redemption price for the excess among the Israelites.”
49 Mojżesz wziął więc pieniądze wykupu od tych, którzy przewyższali [liczbę] wykupionych przez Lewitów.
So Moses collected the redemption money from those in excess of the number redeemed by the Levites.
50 Od pierworodnych synów Izraela wziął tysiąc trzysta sześćdziesiąt pięć [syklów] według sykla świątynnego.
He collected the money from the firstborn of the Israelites: 1,365 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.
51 I Mojżesz oddał te pieniądze wykupu Aaronowi i jego synom według słowa PANA, tak jak PAN rozkazał Mojżeszowi.
And Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons in obedience to the word of the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded him.
