1 A po tej pladze PAN powiedział do Mojżesza i Eleazara, syna Aarona, kapłana:
It came about after the plague that Yahweh spoke to Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest. He said,
2 Policzcie całe zgromadzenie synów Izraela, od dwudziestego roku życia wzwyż, według domów ich ojców, wszystkich zdolnych do walki w Izraelu.
“Count all the community of the people of Israel, from twenty years old and up, by their ancestor's families, all who are able to go to war for Israel.”
3 Przemówił więc Mojżesz i kapłan Eleazar do nich na równinach Moabu, nad Jordanem, [naprzeciw] Jerycha:
So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke to them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho and said,
4 [Policzcie lud], od dwudziestego roku życia wzwyż, jak PAN rozkazał Mojżeszowi i synom Izraela, którzy wyszli z ziemi Egiptu.
“Count the people, from twenty years old and up, as Yahweh commanded Moses and the people of Israel, who came out of the land of Egypt.”
5 Ruben, pierworodny Izraela: synowie Rubena to Henoch, [od którego] pochodzi rodzina Henochitów; Pallu, [od którego pochodzi] rodzina Palluitów;
Reuben was the firstborn of Israel. From his son Hanok came the clan of the Hanokites. From Pallu came the clan of the Palluites.
6 Chesron, [od którego pochodzi] rodzina Chesronitów, i Karmi, [od którego pochodzi] rodzina Karmitów.
From Hezron came the clan of the Hezronites. From Karmi came the clan of the Karmites.
7 To są rodziny Rubenitów; a było ich policzonych czterdzieści trzy tysiące siedmiuset trzydziestu.
These were the clans of Reuben, who numbered 43,730 men.
8 A synowie Pallu to Eliab.
Eliab was a son of Pallu.
9 Synowie zaś Eliaba to Nemuel, Datan i Abiram. To ten Datan i Abiram, osławieni wśród zgromadzenia, którzy zbuntowali się przeciwko Mojżeszowi i Aaronowi z gromadą Koracha, gdy zbuntowali się przeciwko PANU.
Eliab's sons were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These were the same Dathan and Abiram who followed Korah when they challenged Moses and Aaron and rebelled against Yahweh.
10 I ziemia otworzyła swoją paszczę, i pochłonęła ich razem z Korachem, podczas gdy cała gromada zginęła; ogień pochłonął dwustu pięćdziesięciu mężczyzn. Stali się oni znakiem;
The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah when all his followers died. At that time, fire devoured 250 men, who became a warning sign.
11 Lecz synowie Koracha nie umarli.
But Korah's line did not die out.

13 Zerach, od [którego] rodzina Zerachitów, Szaul, od [którego] rodzina Szaulitów.
through Zerah, the clan of the Zerahites, through Shaul, the clan of the Shaulites.
14 To są rodziny Symeonitów; a [było ich] dwadzieścia dwa tysiące dwustu.
These were the clans of Simeon's descendants, who numbered 22,200 men.
15 Synowie Gada według swych rodzin to: Sefon, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Sefonitów, Chaggi, od [którego] rodzina Chaggitów, Szuni, od [którego] rodzina Szunitów;
The clans of Gad's descendants were these: Through Zephon, the clan of the Zephonites, through Haggi, the clan of the Haggites, through Shuni, the clan of the Shunites,
16 Ozni, od [którego] rodzina Oznitów, Er, od [którego] rodzina Erytów;
through Ozni, the clan of the Oznites, through Eri, the clan of the Erites,
17 Arod, od [którego] rodzina Arodytów, Ariel, od [którego] rodzina Arielitów.
through Arod, the clan of the Arodites, through Areli, the clan of the Arelites.
18 To są rodziny synów Gada według ich spisu, czterdzieści tysięcy pięciuset.
These were the clans of Gad's descendants, who numbered 40,500 men.
19 Synowie Judy to Er i Onan. Er i Onan umarli w ziemi Kanaan.
Judah's sons were Er and Onan, but these men died in the land of Canaan.
20 Synowie Judy według swych rodzin to: Szela, od [którego] pochodzi rodzina Szelitów, Peres, od [którego] rodzina Peresytów, Zerach, od [którego] rodzina Zerachitów;
The clans of Judah's other descendants were these: through Shelah, the clan of the Shelanites, through Perez, the clan of the Perezites, and through Zerah, the clan of the Zerahites.
21 Synowie Peresa to: Chesron, od [którego] rodzina Chesronitów, Chamul, od [którego] rodzina Chamulitów.
The descendants of Perez were these: Through Hezron, the clan of the Hezronites, through Hamul, the clan of the Hamulites.
22 To są rodziny Judy według ich spisu, siedemdziesiąt sześć tysięcy pięciuset.
These were the clans of Judah's descendants, who numbered 76,500 men.
23 Synowie Issachara według swych rodzin to: Tola, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Tolaitów, Puwwa, od [którego] rodzina Puwwitów;
The clans of Issachar's descendants were these: Through Tola, the clan of the Tolaites, through Puah, the clan of the Puites,
24 Jaszub, od [którego] rodzina Jaszubitów, Szimrona, od [którego] rodzina Szimronitów.
through Jashub, the clan of the Jashubites, through Shimron, the clan of the Shimronites.
25 To są rodziny Issachara według ich spisu, sześćdziesiąt cztery tysiące trzystu.
These were the clans of Issachar, who numbered 64,300 men.
26 Synowie Zebulona według swych rodzin to: Sered, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Seredytów, Elon, od [którego] rodzina Elonitów, Jachleel, od którego rodzina Jachleelitów.
The clans of Zebulun's descendants were these: Through Sered, the clan of the Seredites, through Elon, the clan of the Elonites, through Jahleel, the clan of the Jahleelites.
27 A to są rodziny Zebulonitów według ich spisu, sześćdziesiąt tysięcy pięciuset.
These were the clans of the Zebulunites, who numbered 60,500 men.
28 Synowie Józefa według swych rodzin to Manasses i Efraim.
The clans of Joseph's descendants were Manasseh and Ephraim.
29 Synowie Manassesa to: Makir, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Makirytów; a Makir spłodził Gileada, od Gileada [pochodzi] rodzina Gileadczyków;
The descendants of Manasseh were these: through Makir, the clan of the Makirites (Makir was Gilead's father), through Gilead, the clan of the Gileadites.
30 To są synowie Gileada: Jezer, od [którego] rodzina Jezerytów, Chelek, od [którego] rodzina Chelekitów;
Gilead's descendants were these: Through Iezer, the clan of the Iezerites, through Helek, the clan of the Helekites,
31 Asriel, od [którego] rodzina Asrielitów, Szechem, od [którego] rodzina Szechemitów;
through Asriel, the clan of the Asrielites, through Shechem, the clan of the Shechemites,
32 Szemida, od [którego] rodzina Szemidaitów, oraz Chefer, od [którego] rodzina Cheferytów.
through Shemida, the clan of the Shemidaites, through Hepher, the clan of the Hepherites.
33 A Selofchad, syn Chefera, nie miał synów, lecz tylko córki, a imiona córek Selofchada to: Machla, Noa, Chogla, Milka i Tirsa.
Zelophehad son of Hepher had no sons, but only daughters. The names of his daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Tirzah.
34 To są rodziny Manassesa według ich spisu, pięćdziesiąt dwa tysiące siedmiuset.
These were the clans of Manasseh, who numbered 52,700 men.
35 To są synowie Efraima według swych rodzin: Szutelach, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Szutelachitów, Becher, od [którego] rodzina Becherytów, Tachan, od [którego] rodzina Tachanitów;
The clans of Ephraim's descendants were these: Through Shuthelah, the clan of the Shuthelahites, through Beker, the clan of the Bekerites, through Tahan, the clan of the Tahanites.
36 A to są synowie Szutelacha: Eran, od [którego] rodzina Eranitów.
The descendants of Shuthelah were, by Eran, the clan of the Eranites.
37 To są rodziny synów Efraima według ich spisu: trzydzieści dwa tysiące pięciuset. To są synowie Józefa według swych rodzin.
These were the clans of Ephraim's descendants, who numbered 32,500 men. These were Joseph's descendants, counted in each of their clans.
38 A synowie Beniamina według swych rodzin to: Bela, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Belaitów, Aszbel, od [którego] rodzina Aszbelitów, Achiram, od [którego] rodzina Achiramitów;
The clans of Benjamin's descendants were these: Through Bela, the clan of the Belaites, through Ashbel, the clan of the Ashbelites, through Ahiram, the clan of the Ahiramites,
39 Szufam, od [którego] rodzina Szufamitów, Chufam, od [którego] rodzina Chufamitów.
through Shephupham, the clan of the Shuphamites, through Hupham, the clan of the Huphamites.
40 Synowie Beli to Ard i Naaman, od Arda rodzina Ardytów, a od Naamana rodzina Naamitów.
Bela's sons were Ard and Naaman. From Ard came the clan of the Ardites, and from Naaman came the clan of the Naamites.
41 To są synowie Beniamina według swych rodzin. Ich liczba [wynosi] czterdzieści pięć tysięcy sześciuset.
These were the clans of Benjamin's descendants. They numbered 45,600 men.
42 To są synowie Dana według swych rodzin: Szucham, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Szuchamitów. To są rodziny Dana według swych rodzin.
The clans of Dan's descendants were, by Shuham, the clans of the Shuhamites. These were the clans of Dan's descendants.
43 Wszystkich rodzin Szuchamitów według ich spisu [było] sześćdziesiąt cztery tysiące czterystu.
All the clans of the Shuhamites numbered 64,400 men.
44 Synowie Aszera według swych rodzin [to]: Jimna, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Jimnaitów, Jiszwi, od [którego] rodzina Jiszwitów, Beria, od [którego] rodzina Beriaitów;
The clans of Asher's descendants were these: Through Imnah, the clan of the Imnites, through Ishvi, the clan of the Ishvites, through Beriah, the clan of the Beriites.
45 Synowie Berii to: Cheber, od [którego] rodzina Cheberytów, Malkiel, od [którego] rodzina Malkielitów.
The descendants of Beriah were these: Through Heber, the clan of the Heberites, through Malkiel, the clan of the Malkielites.
46 A córce Aszera [było] na imię Sarach.
The name of Asher's daughter was Serah.
47 To są rodziny synów Aszera według ich spisu: pięćdziesiąt trzy tysiące czterystu.
These were the clans of Asher's descendants, who numbered 53,400 men.
48 Synowie Neftalego według swych rodzin to: Jachseel, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Jachseelitów, Guni, od [którego] rodzina Gunitów;
The clans of Naphtali's descendants were these: Through Jahzeel, the clan of the Jahzeelites, through Guni, the clan of the Gunites,
49 Jeser, od [którego] rodzina Jeserytów, Szillem, od [którego] rodzina Szillemitów.
through Jezer, the clan of the Jezerites, through Shillem, the clan of the Shillemites.
50 To są rodziny Neftalego według ich rodzin. Ich liczba [wynosi] czterdzieści pięć tysięcy czterystu.
These were the clans of Naphtali's descendants, who numbered 45,400 men.
51 To jest liczba synów Izraela: sześćset jeden tysięcy siedmiuset trzydziestu.
This was the complete count of men among the people of Israel: 601,730.
52 I PAN powiedział do Mojżesza:
Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
53 Pomiędzy nich zostanie podzielona ziemia jako dziedzictwo według liczby imion.
“The land must be divided among these men as an inheritance according to the number of their names.
54 Liczniejszemu dasz większe dziedzictwo, a mniej licznemu dasz mniejsze dziedzictwo. Każdemu będzie dane jego dziedzictwo według liczby policzonych.
To the larger clans you must give more inheritance, and to the smaller clans you must give less inheritance. To every family you must give an inheritance according to the number of men who were counted.
55 Ziemia jednak będzie rozdzielona przez losowanie; otrzymają dziedzictwo według imion pokoleń swoich ojców.
However, the land must be divided by random lots. They must inherit the land as it will be divided among their ancestors' tribes.
56 Zgodnie z losem [będzie] rozdzielone dziedzictwo pomiędzy liczne i nieliczne.
Their inheritance must be divided among the larger and the smaller clans, distributed to them by random lot.”
57 Oto policzeni z Lewitów według swych rodzin: Gerszon, od [którego pochodzi] rodzina Gerszonitów, Kehat, od [którego] rodzina Kehatytów, Merari, od [którego] rodzina Meraritów.
The Levite clans, counted clan by clan, were these: Through Gershon, the clan of the Gershonites, through Kohath, the clan of the Kohathites, through Merari, the clan of the Merarites.
58 To są rodziny Lewiego: rodzina Libnitów, rodzina Chebronitów, rodzina Machlitów, rodzina Muszitów, rodzina Korachitów; a Kehat spłodził Amrama.
The clans of Levi were these: the clan of the Libnites, the clan of the Hebronites, the clan of the Mahlites, the clan of the Mushites, and the clan of the Korahites. Kohath was the Amram's ancestor.
59 A żonie Amrama było na imię Jochebed, [była to] córka Lewiego, która mu się urodziła w Egipcie; to ona urodziła Amramowi Aarona i Mojżesza oraz ich siostrę Miriam.
The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, who was born to Levites in Egypt. She bore to Amram their children, who were Aaron, Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60 Aaronowi urodzili się Nadab i Abihu, Eleazar i Itamar.
To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
61 Ale Nadab i Abihu umarli, gdy ofiarowali inny ogień przed PANEM.
Nadab and Abihu died when they offered before Yahweh unacceptable fire.
62 A ich liczba wynosiła dwadzieścia trzy tysiące, wszystkich mężczyzn od miesiąca wzwyż; nie zostali jednak policzeni wśród synów Izraela, gdyż nie dano im dziedzictwa pośród synów Izraela.
The males who were counted among them numbered twenty-three thousand, all males one month old and up. But they were not counted among Israel's descendants because no inheritance was given to them among the people of Israel.
63 To są ci policzeni przez Mojżesza i kapłana Eleazara; oni policzyli synów Izraela na równinach Moabu, nad Jordanem, [naprzeciw] Jerycha.
These are the ones who were counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest. They counted the people of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.
64 Lecz wśród nich nie było nikogo z [tych] policzonych przez Mojżesza i kapłana Aarona, gdy policzyli synów Izraela na pustyni Synaj;
But among these there was no man who had been counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when the descendants of Israel were counted in the wilderness of Sinai.
65 PAN bowiem powiedział o nich: Z pewnością umrą na pustyni. I nie pozostał żaden z nich oprócz Kaleba, syna Jefunnego, i Jozuego, syna Nuna.
For Yahweh had said that all of those people would certainly die in the wilderness. There was not a man left among them, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
