Mateusza 26
1 A gdy Jezus dokończył tych wszystkich mów, powiedział do swoich uczniów:
Now it happened, when Jesus had finished all these words, that He said to His disciples,
2 Wiecie, że za dwa dni będzie Pascha, a Syn Człowieczy zostanie wydany na ukrzyżowanie.
“You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of the Man will be handed over to be crucified.”
3 Wtedy to naczelni kapłani, uczeni w Piśmie i starsi ludu zebrali się na dziedzińcu najwyższego kapłana, zwanego Kajfaszem;
Then the chief priests, the scribes and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, the one called Caiaphas,
4 I naradzali się, jak by podstępnie schwytać i zabić Jezusa.
and they plotted to seize Jesus by trickery and kill Him.
5 Lecz mówili: Nie w święto, aby nie wywołać rozruchu wśród ludu.
But they said, “Not during the feast, in order not to have an uproar among the people.”
6 A gdy Jezus był w Betanii, w domu Szymona Trędowatego;
Now when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper,
7 Przyszła do niego kobieta, która miała alabastrowe naczynie bardzo drogiego olejku, i wylała go na jego głowę, gdy siedział przy stole.
a woman approached Him, having an alabaster flask of very expensive perfume, and she began to pour it on His head as He reclined at the table.
8 Widząc to, jego uczniowie oburzyli się i powiedzieli: I na cóż to marnotrawstwo?
But upon seeing it His disciples were indignant saying: “Why this waste?
9 Przecież można było ten olejek drogo sprzedać, a [pieniądze] rozdać ubogim.
For this perfume could have been sold for a good deal and given to the poor.”
10 Gdy Jezus to zauważył, powiedział im: Dlaczego sprawiacie przykrość tej kobiecie? Przecież dobry uczynek spełniła wobec mnie.
But being aware Jesus said to them: “Why are you bothering the woman? She has done something beautiful to me.
11 Ubogich bowiem zawsze macie u siebie, ale mnie nie zawsze mieć będziecie.
You will always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me.
12 Bo ona, wylewając ten olejek na moje ciało, zrobiła to, aby przygotować mnie na mój pogrzeb.
In putting this perfume on my body she did it with a view to my burial.
13 Zaprawdę powiadam wam: Gdziekolwiek po całym świecie będzie głoszona ta ewangelia, będzie się też opowiadać na jej pamiątkę to, co zrobiła.
Assuredly I say to you, wherever this gospel may be proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman did will also be told in her memory.”
14 Wtedy jeden z dwunastu, zwany Judaszem Iskariotą, poszedł do naczelnych kapłanów;
Then one of the twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests
15 I powiedział: Co chcecie mi dać, a ja wam go wydam. A oni wyznaczyli mu trzydzieści srebrników.
and said, “What are you willing to give me so that I deliver Him to you?” So they counted out to him thirty silver coins.
16 I odtąd szukał sposobności, aby go wydać.
From then on he kept looking for an opportunity to betray Him.
17 W pierwszy dzień Przaśników uczniowie podeszli do Jezusa i zapytali go: Gdzie chcesz, abyśmy przygotowali ci Paschę do spożycia?
Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus saying to Him, “Where do you want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”
18 A on odpowiedział: Idźcie do miasta, do pewnego [człowieka] i powiedzcie mu: Nauczyciel mówi: Mój czas jest bliski; u ciebie będę obchodził Paschę z moimi uczniami.
So He said: “Go into the city to ‘you know who’ and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is near, I will do the Passover with my disciples at your place.”’”
19 Uczniowie zrobili tak, jak im nakazał Jezus, i przygotowali Paschę.
And the disciples did as Jesus directed them and prepared the Passover.
20 Kiedy nastał wieczór, usiadł [za stołem] z dwunastoma.
When it was evening He was reclining at the table with the twelve.
21 A gdy jedli, powiedział: Zaprawdę powiadam wam, że jeden z was mnie wyda.
And as they were eating He said, “Assuredly I say to you that one of you will betray me.”
22 I bardzo zasmuceni zaczęli pytać jeden po drugim: Czy to ja, Panie?
This really upset them and they each began to say to Him, “It isn't me, is it, Lord?”
23 A on odpowiedział: Ten, który macza ze mną rękę w misie, on mnie wyda.
In answer He said: “It is the one who dipped his hand in the bowl with me, he will betray me.
24 Syn Człowieczy odchodzi, jak jest o nim napisane, ale biada człowiekowi, przez którego Syn Człowieczy będzie wydany! Lepiej byłoby dla tego człowieka, aby się nie urodził.
The Son of the Man is really going just as it is written about Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of the Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man not to have been born.”
25 Wtedy Judasz, który go zdradził, zapytał: Czy to ja, Mistrzu? Odpowiedział mu: Ty [sam to] powiedziałeś.
Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, “It isn't me, is it, Rabbi?” He says to him, “You said it!”
26 A gdy jedli, Jezus wziął chleb, pobłogosławił, połamał i dał uczniom, mówiąc: Bierzcie, jedzcie, to jest moje ciało.
Now as they were eating, after taking the bread and blessing it, Jesus broke it, gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
27 Potem wziął kielich, złożył dziękczynienie i dał im, mówiąc: Pijcie z niego wszyscy;
And taking the cup and giving thanks He gave it to them saying: “Drink of it, all of you;
28 To bowiem jest moja krew nowego testamentu, która wylewa się za wielu na przebaczenie grzechów.
for this is my blood, that of the new covenant, that which is being shed on behalf of many for forgiveness of sins.
29 Ale mówię wam: Odtąd nie będę pił z tego owocu winorośli aż do dnia, gdy go będę pił z wami nowy w królestwie mego Ojca.
Furthermore, I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.”
30 A gdy zaśpiewali hymn, wyszli ku Górze Oliwnej.
And after hymn-singing they went out to the Mount of Olives.
31 Wtedy Jezus powiedział do nich: Wy wszyscy zgorszycie się z mojego powodu tej nocy. Jest bowiem napisane: Uderzę pasterza i rozproszą się owce stada.
Then Jesus says to them: “All of you will be caused to stumble because of me this night, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’
32 Lecz gdy zmartwychwstanę, udam się do Galilei przed wami.
But after I am raised I will go before you to Galilee.”
33 A Piotr odezwał się do niego: Choćby się wszyscy zgorszyli z twojego powodu, ja się nigdy nie zgorszę.
Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if everyone else is caused to stumble because of you, I will never be caused to stumble.”
34 Powiedział mu Jezus: Zaprawdę powiadam ci, że tej nocy, zanim kogut zapieje, trzy razy się mnie wyprzesz.
Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I say to you that this night, before any rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”
35 Odpowiedział mu Piotr: Choćbym miał z tobą umrzeć, nie wyprę się ciebie. Podobnie mówili wszyscy uczniowie.
Peter says to Him, “Even if I have to die with you, I will not deny you!” And all the other disciples said the same.
36 Wtedy Jezus przyszedł z nimi na miejsce zwane Getsemani i powiedział do uczniów: Siądźcie tu, a ja tymczasem odejdę tam i będę się modlił.
Then Jesus comes with them to a place called Gethsemane, and He says to the disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
37 A wziąwszy ze sobą Piotra i dwóch synów Zebedeusza, zaczął się smucić i odczuwać udrękę.
And taking Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along He began to be troubled and distressed.
38 Wtedy [Jezus] powiedział do nich: Smutna jest moja dusza aż do śmierci. Zostańcie tu i czuwajcie ze mną.
Then Jesus says to them: “My soul is in anguish, to the point of death. Stay here and watch with me.”
39 A odszedłszy trochę dalej, upadł na twarz i modlił się, mówiąc: Mój Ojcze, jeśli to możliwe, niech mnie ominie ten kielich. Jednak [niech się stanie] nie jak ja chcę, ale jak ty.
And going a little farther He fell on His face and prayed saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass me by; nevertheless not as I wish, but as you do.”
40 Potem przyszedł do uczniów i zastał ich śpiących, i powiedział do Piotra: Czy nie mogliście przez jedną godzinę czuwać ze mną?
Then He comes to the disciples and finds them sleeping, and He says to Peter: “So, you (pl.) were not able to watch with me one hour!
41 Czuwajcie i módlcie się, abyście nie ulegli pokusie. Duch wprawdzie jest ochoczy, ale ciało słabe.
Watch and pray, so that you do not enter into temptation. The spirit on its part is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42 Znowu, po raz drugi odszedł i modlił się, mówiąc: Mój Ojcze, jeśli ten kielich nie może mnie minąć, tylko abym go wypił, niech się stanie twoja wola.
And going away a second time He prayed saying, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass from me unless I drink it, let your will be done.”
43 A gdy przyszedł, znowu zastał ich śpiących, bo oczy same im się zamykały.
And coming He finds them sleeping again, because their eyes had been weighed down.
44 I zostawiwszy ich, odszedł znowu i modlił się po raz trzeci tymi samymi słowami.
So leaving them He went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing.
45 Potem przyszedł do swoich uczniów i powiedział do nich: Śpijcie jeszcze i odpoczywajcie. Oto nadchodzi godzina i Syn Człowieczy będzie wydany w ręce grzeszników.
Then He comes to His disciples and says to them: “Sleep some more and take your rest! Actually, the hour is here and the Son of the Man is being betrayed into sinners' hands.
46 Wstańcie, chodźmy! Oto zbliża się ten, który mnie wyda.
Get up, let's go; see, the one who is betraying me has come!”
47 A gdy on jeszcze mówił, nadszedł Judasz, jeden z dwunastu, a z nim liczny tłum z mieczami i kijami, od naczelnych kapłanów i starszych ludu.
And while He was still speaking, there was Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a large crowd with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 Ten zaś, który go zdradził, ustalił z nimi znak, mówiąc: Ten, którego pocałuję, to on. Schwytajcie go.
(Now His betrayer had given them a sign saying, “Whomever I kiss, it is He; take Him!”)
49 Zaraz też podszedł do Jezusa i powiedział: Witaj, Mistrzu! I pocałował go.
And he went right up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him.
50 Jezus powiedział do niego: Przyjacielu, po co przyszedłeś? Wtedy podeszli, rzucili się na Jezusa i schwytali go.
So Jesus said to him, “Friend, what brings you here?” Then approaching they laid hands on Jesus and took Him.
51 A oto jeden z tych, [którzy] byli z Jezusem, wyciągnął rękę i dobył miecz, a uderzywszy sługę najwyższego kapłana, odciął mu ucho.
And then, one of those with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, and striking the servant of the high priest he cut off his ear!
52 Wtedy Jezus powiedział do niego: Schowaj miecz na swoje miejsce. Wszyscy bowiem, którzy za miecz chwytają, od miecza zginą.
But Jesus says to him: “Put your sword back into its place, for all who take the sword will die by the sword.
53 Czy sądzisz, że nie mógłbym teraz prosić mego Ojca, a wystawiłby mi więcej niż dwanaście legionów aniołów?
Do you actually suppose that I cannot call upon my Father right now and He will place beside me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 Ale jakże wypełniłyby się Pisma, [które mówią], że musi się tak stać?
But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it has to happen this way?”
55 W tym momencie Jezus powiedział do tłumów: Wyszliście jak na bandytę z mieczami i kijami, aby mnie schwytać. Codziennie siadałem z wami, nauczając w świątyni, a nie schwytaliście mnie.
At that time Jesus said to the crowd: “Have you come out with swords and clubs, as against a bandit, to arrest me? I used to sit daily with you in the temple, teaching, and you did not seize me.
56 Ale to wszystko się stało, aby się wypełniły Pisma proroków. Wtedy wszyscy uczniowie opuścili go i uciekli.
But all this has happened so that the Scriptures of the prophets should be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and ran away.
57 A ci, którzy schwytali Jezusa, zaprowadzili go do Kajfasza, najwyższego kapłana, gdzie zebrali się uczeni w Piśmie i starsi.
So those who had seized Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
58 Piotr zaś szedł za nim z daleka aż do dziedzińca najwyższego kapłana i wszedłszy tam, siedział ze sługami, aby zobaczyć, jak to się skończy.
Now Peter was following Him at a distance, up to the high priest's courtyard. And going inside he sat down with the attendants, to see the end.
59 Tymczasem naczelni kapłani, starsi i cała Rada szukali fałszywego świadectwa przeciwko Jezusowi, aby go skazać na śmierć;
The chief priests and the elders, in fact the whole Council, kept looking for false witnesses against Jesus so that they could put Him to death,
60 Lecz nie znaleźli. I chociaż przychodziło wielu fałszywych świadków, [jednak niczego] nie znaleźli. A na koniec wystąpili dwaj fałszywi świadkowie;
but did not find any. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they did not find any. But at last two false witnesses came forward
61 Mówiąc: On powiedział: Mogę zburzyć świątynię Bożą i w trzy dni ją odbudować.
and said, “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and to rebuild it in three days.’”
62 Wtedy najwyższy kapłan powstał i zapytał go: Nic nie odpowiadasz? [Cóż znaczy to], co oni przeciwko tobie zeznają?
And standing up the high priest said to Him: “Do you answer nothing? What is it that these men are testifying against you?”
63 Lecz Jezus milczał. A najwyższy kapłan powiedział mu: Zaklinam cię na Boga żywego, abyś nam powiedział, czy ty jesteś Chrystusem, Synem Bożym?
But Jesus kept silent. So reacting the high priest said to Him, “I put you under oath by the Living God so that you tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God!”
64 Odpowiedział mu Jezus: Ty powiedziałeś. Ale mówię wam: Odtąd ujrzycie Syna Człowieczego siedzącego po prawicy mocy [Boga] i przychodzącego na obłokach niebieskich.
Jesus says to him: “You said it. Furthermore, I tell you, hereafter you will see the Son of the Man sitting at the Power's right, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65 Wtedy najwyższy kapłan rozdarł swoje szaty i powiedział: Zbluźnił! Czyż potrzebujemy jeszcze świadków? Oto teraz słyszeliście bluźnierstwo.
Then the high priest tore his clothes saying: “He has blasphemed! Why do we still need witnesses? See, now you have heard His blasphemy!
66 Jak wam się zdaje? A oni odpowiedzieli: Zasługuje na śmierć.
What do you think?” So in answer they said, “He deserves death!”
67 Wówczas [zaczęli] pluć mu w twarz i bili go pięściami, a inni go policzkowali;
Then they spat in His face and punched Him, while others slapped Him
68 Mówiąc: Prorokuj nam, Chrystusie: Kto cię uderzył?
saying, “Messiah, prophesy to us! Who is the one who hit you?”
69 Piotr zaś siedział na zewnątrz, na dziedzińcu. Podeszła do niego pewna dziewczyna i powiedziała: Ty też byłeś z Jezusem z Galilei.
Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a certain servant girl approached him saying, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean.”
70 Lecz on wyparł się wobec wszystkich, mówiąc: Nie wiem, o czym mówisz.
But he denied before them all saying, “I don't know what you are saying.”
71 A gdy wyszedł do przedsionka, zobaczyła go inna [dziewczyna] i powiedziała do tych, którzy tam byli: On też był z Jezusem z Nazaretu.
And having gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and says to those who were there, “This fellow also was with Jesus the Natsorean.”
72 I znowu wyparł się pod przysięgą: Nie znam tego człowieka.
And he denied again, with an oath, “I do not know the man!”
73 Po chwili ci, którzy tam stali, podeszli i powiedzieli do Piotra: Na pewno ty też jesteś [jednym] z nich, bo i twoja mowa cię zdradza.
But a little later the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “Really, you too are one of them, because your very accent gives you away!”
74 Wtedy zaczął się zaklinać i przysięgać: Nie znam tego człowieka. I zaraz zapiał kogut.
Then he began to curse and to swear, “I do not know the man!” And immediately a rooster crowed.
75 I przypomniał sobie Piotr słowa Jezusa, który mu powiedział: Zanim kogut zapieje, trzy razy się mnie wyprzesz. Wyszedł na zewnątrz i gorzko zapłakał.
And Peter remembered the word that Jesus had said to him, “Before any rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” And going out he cried bitterly.
