1 Wtedy zgromadzili się wokół niego faryzeusze i pewni uczeni w Piśmie, którzy przybyli z Jerozolimy.
The Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem gathered around him.
2 A gdy zobaczyli, że niektórzy z jego uczniów jedzą chleb nieczystymi, to znaczy nieumytymi rękami, ganili to.
They saw that some of his disciples ate bread with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed.
3 Faryzeusze bowiem i wszyscy Żydzi, trzymając się tradycji starszych, nie jedzą, jeśli dokładnie nie umyją rąk.
(For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands, because they hold to the tradition of the elders.
4 I [po powrocie] z rynku nie jedzą, jeśli się nie umyją. Jest jeszcze wiele innych zwyczajów, które przyjęli po to, by je zachowywać, [jak] obmywanie kubków, dzbanów, naczyń miedzianych i stołów.
When the Pharisees come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they bathe themselves, and they hold fast to many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pots, copper vessels, and the couches upon which they eat.)
5 Zapytali go więc faryzeusze i uczeni w Piśmie: Dlaczego twoi uczniowie nie postępują według tradycji starszych, lecz jedzą chleb nieumytymi rękami?
The Pharisees and the scribes asked Jesus, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, for they eat their bread with unwashed hands?”
6 Wtedy on im odpowiedział: Dobrze Izajasz prorokował o was, obłudnikach, jak jest napisane: Ten lud czci mnie wargami, ale ich serce daleko jest ode mnie.
But he said to them, “Isaiah prophesied well about you hypocrites. He wrote, 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Empty worship they offer me, teaching the rules of men as their doctrines.'
8 [Wy] bowiem, opuściwszy przykazania Boże, trzymacie się tradycji ludzkiej, obmywania dzbanków i kubków. I wiele innych tym podobnych rzeczy czynicie.
You abandon the commandment of God and hold fast to the tradition of men.”
9 Mówił im też: Całkowicie znosicie przykazanie Boże, aby zachować swoją tradycję.
He also said to them, “How well you reject the commandment of God so you may keep your tradition!
10 Mojżesz bowiem powiedział: Czcij swego ojca i swoją matkę, oraz: Kto złorzeczy ojcu albo matce, niech poniesie śmierć.
For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'He who speaks evil of his father or mother will surely die.'
11 Ale wy mówicie: Jeśli człowiek powie ojcu albo matce: To, co powinieneś otrzymać ode mnie jako pomoc, to Korban, to znaczy dar [przeznaczony na ofiarę] – [będzie bez winy].
But you say, 'If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever help you would have received from me is Corban”' (that is to say, 'Given to God'),
12 I nie pozwalacie mu nic więcej uczynić dla swego ojca albo matki;
then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or his mother.
13 Wniwecz obracając słowo Boże przez waszą tradycję, którą przekazaliście. I wiele innych tym podobnych rzeczy czynicie.
You are making the commandment of God void by your tradition which you have handed down. And many similar things you do.”
14 A zwoławszy wszystkich ludzi, mówił do nich: Słuchajcie mnie wszyscy i zrozumiejcie.
He called the crowd again and said to them, “Listen to me, all of you, and understand.
15 Nie ma nic z zewnątrz, co wchodząc w człowieka, mogłoby go skalać, ale to, co z niego wychodzi, to kala człowieka.
There is nothing from outside of a person that can defile him when it enters into him. It is what comes out of the person that defiles him.”
16 Jeśli ktoś ma uszy do słuchania, niech słucha.
17 A gdy [oddalił się] od ludzi i wszedł do domu, jego uczniowie pytali go [o tę] przypowieść.
Now when Jesus left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable.
18 Wtedy powiedział im: Czy i wy jesteście tak bezrozumni? Czyż nie rozumiecie, że wszystko, co z zewnątrz wchodzi w człowieka, nie może go skalać?
Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever enters into a person from outside cannot defile him,
19 Nie wchodzi bowiem do jego serca, ale do żołądka i zostaje wydalone do ustępu, oczyszczając wszystkie pokarmy.
because it cannot go into his heart, but it goes into his stomach and then passes out into the latrine?” With this statement Jesus declared all foods clean.
20 I powiedział: Co wychodzi z człowieka, to kala człowieka.
He said, “It is that which comes out of the person that defiles him.
21 Z wnętrza bowiem, z serca ludzkiego pochodzą złe myśli, cudzołóstwa, nierząd, zabójstwa;
For from within a person, out of the heart, proceed evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder,
22 Kradzieże, chciwość, niegodziwość, podstęp, wyuzdanie, oko złe, bluźnierstwo, pycha, głupota.
adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, folly.
23 Całe to zło pochodzi z wnętrza i kala człowieka.
All these evils come from within, and they are what defile a person.”
24 Odszedł stamtąd i udał się w okolice Tyru i Sydonu. A wszedłszy do [pewnego] domu, nie chciał, aby ktoś [o tym] wiedział. Nie mógł się jednak ukryć.
He got up from there and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. There he went into a house and he wanted no one to know where he was, but he could not be hidden.
25 Usłyszała bowiem o nim kobieta, której córeczka miała ducha nieczystego, i przyszła, i upadła mu do nóg.
In fact, as soon a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him, she came and fell down at his feet.
26 A kobieta ta była Greczynką, rodem z Syrofenicji, i prosiła go, aby wypędził demona z jej córki.
Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by descent. She begged him to cast out the demon from her daughter.
27 Ale Jezus jej powiedział: Niech najpierw nasycą się dzieci, bo niedobrze jest brać chleb dzieci i rzucać szczeniętom.
He said to her, “Let the children first be fed. For it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.”
28 A ona odpowiedziała mu: Tak, Panie, lecz i szczenięta jadają pod stołem z okruszyn dzieci.
But she answered and said to him, “Yes, Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.”
29 I powiedział do niej: Ze względu na te słowa idź, demon wyszedł z twojej córki.
He said to her, “Because you have said this, you are free to go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
30 A gdy wróciła do swego domu, spostrzegła, że demon wyszedł, a córka leżała na łóżku.
She went back to her house and found the child lying on the bed, and the demon was gone.
31 Kiedy znowu opuścił okolice Tyru i Sydonu, przyszedł nad Morze Galilejskie przez środek krainy Dekapolu.
Then he went out again from the region of Tyre, and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee up into the region of the Decapolis.
32 I przyprowadzili do niego głuchego, który miał trudności z mówieniem, i prosili go, aby położył na niego rękę.
They brought to him someone who was deaf and had difficulty speaking, and they begged him to lay his hand on him.
33 Pan, wziąwszy go z tłumu na bok, włożył palce w jego uszy i splunąwszy, dotknął jego języka;
He took him aside from the crowd privately, and he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting, he touched his tongue.
34 A spojrzawszy w niebo, westchnął i powiedział do niego: Effatha, to znaczy: Otwórz się.
He looked up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is to say, “Open!”
35 Zaraz też otworzyły się jego uszy i rozwiązały się więzy jego języka, i mówił poprawnie.
At once his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he began to speak plainly.
36 Wtedy im nakazał, aby [tego] nikomu nie mówili. Ale im bardziej im nakazywał, tym bardziej to rozgłaszali.
Jesus ordered them to tell no one. But the more he ordered them, the more abundantly they proclaimed it.
37 I niezmiernie się zdumiewali, mówiąc: Dobrze wszystko uczynił. Sprawia, że głusi słyszą i niemi mówią.
They were extremely astonished, saying, “He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
