Jozuego 22

1 Wtedy Jozue przywołał Rubenitów, Gadytów oraz połowę pokolenia Manassesa;

Then Ioshua called the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the halfe tribe of Manasseh,

2 I powiedział do nich: Strzegliście wszystkiego, co wam nakazał Mojżesz, sługa PANA, i byliście posłuszni memu głosowi we wszystkim, co wam nakazałem.

And sayd vnto them, Ye haue kept all that Moses the seruaunt of the Lord commanded you, and haue obeied my voice in all that I commanded you:

3 Nie opuściliście swoich braci przez [ten] długi czas aż do dziś, ale strzegliście pilnie rozkazu PANA, waszego Boga.

You haue not forsaken your brethren this long season vnto this day, but haue diligently kept the commandement of the Lord your God.

4 A teraz PAN, wasz Bóg, dał odpoczynek waszym braciom, jak im obiecał. Zawróćcie więc teraz i idźcie do waszych namiotów i do ziemi waszej własności, którą dał wam Mojżesz, sługa PANA, po drugiej stronie Jordanu.

And nowe the Lord hath giuen rest vnto your brethren as he promised them: therefore nowe returne ye and goe to your tentes, to the land of your possession, which Moses the seruant of the Lord hath giuen you beyond Iorden.

5 Tylko uważajcie pilnie, by zachować przykazanie i prawo, które nakazał wam Mojżesz, sługa PANA – abyście miłowali PANA, swojego Boga, kroczyli wszystkimi jego drogami, zachowywali jego przykazania, lgnęli do niego i służyli mu z całego swego serca i z całej swej duszy.

But take diligent heede, to doe the commandement and Lawe, which Moses the seruant of the Lord commanded you: that is, that ye loue the Lord your God, and walke in all his wayes, and keepe his commandements, and cleaue vnto him, and serue him with all your heart and with all your soule.

6 Potem Jozue błogosławił im i odesłał ich, a oni odeszli do swoich namiotów.

So Ioshua blessed them and sent them away, and they went vnto their tents.

7 Mojżesz bowiem dał [jednej] połowie pokolenia Manassesa [posiadłość] w Baszanie, [ale drugiej] jego połowie Jozue dał [dział] z ich braćmi po zachodniej stronie Jordanu. A gdy Jozue odesłał ich do ich namiotów, błogosławił im.

Nowe vnto one halfe of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had giuen a possession in Bashan: and vnto the other halfe thereof gaue Ioshua among their brethren on this side Iorden Westwarde: therefore when Ioshua sent them away vnto their tents, and blessed them,

8 I powiedział do nich: Wracajcie z wielkimi bogactwami do waszych namiotów, z bardzo licznymi stadami, ze srebrem, złotem, miedzią i żelazem oraz z wielką liczbą szat. Podzielcie się ze swymi braćmi łupem po waszych wrogach.

Thus he spake vnto them, saying, Returne with much riches vnto your tents, and with a great multitude of cattell, with siluer and with golde, with brasse and with yron, and with great abundance of rayment: deuide the spoyle of your enemies with your brethren.

9 Wtedy synowie Rubena i synowie Gada oraz połowa pokolenia Manassesa zawrócili i opuścili synów Izraela w Szilo, które leży w ziemi Kanaan, aby pójść do ziemi Gilead, do ziemi swojej własności, którą dziedzicznie otrzymali zgodnie ze słowem PANA za pośrednictwem Mojżesza.

So the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and halfe the tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel from Shiloh (which is in the land of Canaan) to goe vnto the countrey of Gilead to the land of their possession, which they had obteyned, according to ye word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

10 I gdy przybyli w okolice Jordanu [położone] w ziemi Kanaan synowie Rubena i synowie Gada oraz połowa pokolenia Manassesa, zbudowali tam ołtarz nad Jordanem, ołtarz wielki i okazały.

And when they came vnto the borders of Iorden (which are in the land of Canaan) then the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and the halfe tribe of Manasseh, built there an altar by Iorden, a great altar to see to.

11 I synowie Izraela usłyszeli, że mówiono: Oto synowie Rubena, synowie Gada i połowa pokolenia Manassesa zbudowali ołtarz naprzeciw ziemi Kanaan w okolicy Jordanu, gdzie przeszli synowie Izraela.

When the children of Israel heard say, Beholde, the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and the halfe tribe of Manasseh haue built an altar in the forefront of the lande of Canaan vpon the borders of Iorden at the passage of the children of Israel:

12 Gdy więc synowie Izraela o tym usłyszeli, zebrało się całe zgromadzenie synów Izraela w Szilo, aby wyruszyć przeciw nim na wojnę.

When the children of Israel heard it, then the whole Congregation of the children of Israel gathered them together at Shiloh to goe vp to warre against them.

13 I synowie Izraela wysłali do synów Rubena, synów Gada i połowy pokolenia Manassesa, do ziemi Gilead, Pinchasa, syna kapłana Eleazara;

Then the children of Israel sent vnto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to ye halfe tribe of Manasseh into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the sonne of Eleazar the Priest,

14 A z nim dziesięciu naczelników, po jednym z każdego rodu ze wszystkich pokoleń Izraela; każdy naczelnik był głową rodu swoich ojców wśród tysięcy Izraela.

And with him ten princes, of euery chiefe house a prince, according to all the tribes of Israel: for euery one was chiefe of their fathers housholde among the thousands of Israel.

15 [Ci] przyszli do synów Rubena, synów Gada i połowy pokolenia Manassesa, do ziemi Gilead, i powiedzieli do nich:

So they went vnto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the halfe tribe of Manasseh, vnto the land of Gilead, and spake with them, saying,

16 Tak mówi całe zgromadzenie PANA: Cóż to za przestępstwo, którego się dopuściliście wobec Boga Izraela, że odwróciliście się dziś od PANA, budując sobie ołtarz, aby zbuntować się dziś przeciw PANU?

Thus saith the whole congregation of the Lord, What transgression is this that ye haue transgressed against the God of Israel, to turne away this day from the Lord, in that ye haue built you an altar for to rebell this day against the Lord?

17 Czy mało nam nieprawości popełnionej w Peor, z której nie jesteśmy oczyszczeni po dziś dzień, a za którą na zgromadzenie PANA spadła plaga;

Haue we too litle for the wickednesse of Peor, whereof we are not clensed vnto this day, though a plague came vpon the Congregation of the Lord?

18 Że wy dziś odwróciliście się, [żeby nie pójść] za PANEM? A ponieważ buntujecie się dziś przeciw PANU, jutro on rozgniewa się na całe zgromadzenie Izraela.

Ye also are turned away this day from the Lord: and seeing ye rebell to day against ye Lord, euen to morowe he will be wroth with all the Congregation of Israel.

19 A jeśli ziemia waszej posiadłości jest nieczysta, przeprowadźcie się do ziemi dziedzictwa PANA, w której znajduje się przybytek PANA, i weźcie sobie posiadłości pośród nas; tylko nie buntujcie się przeciw PANU ani nie buntujcie się przeciwko nam, budując sobie ołtarz poza ołtarzem PANA, naszego Boga.

Notwithstanding if the land of your possession be vncleane, come ye ouer vnto the land of the possession of the Lord, wherein the Lordes Tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among vs: but rebell not against the Lord, nor rebell not against vs in building you an altar, beside the altar of the Lord our God.

20 Czy to nie Akan, syn Zeracha, dopuścił się przestępstwa przy rzeczach przeklętych i czy gniew nie spadł na całe zgromadzenie Izraela? I nie tylko on umarł za swoją nieprawość.

Did not Achan ye sonne of Zerah trespasse grieuously in the execrable thing, and wrath fell on all the Congregation of Israel? and this man alone perished not in his wickednesse.

21 Wtedy synowie Rubena, synowie Gada i połowa pokolenia Manassesa odpowiedzieli naczelnikom nad tysiącami Izraela:

Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad, and halfe the tribe of Manasseh answered, and saide vnto the heads ouer the thousands of Israel,

22 PAN, Bóg bogów, PAN, Bóg bogów, on wie, i Izrael też się dowie: Jeśli stało się to przez bunt albo przestępstwo przeciw PANU – niech nas dziś nie oszczędzi;

The Lord God of gods, the Lord God of gods, he knoweth, and Israel himselfe shall know: if by rebellion, or by transgression against ye Lord we haue done it, saue thou vs not this day.

23 Jeśli zbudowaliśmy sobie ołtarz, aby się odwrócić od PANA i aby składać na nim całopalenia i ofiary pokarmowe lub pojednawcze, to niech PAN to rozezna;

If we haue built vs an altar to returne away from the Lord, either to offer thereon burnt offering, or meate offering, or to offer peace offerings thereon, let the Lord himselfe require it:

24 Czy nie zrobiliśmy tak [raczej] z obawy przed tym, że w przyszłości wasi synowie powiedzą naszym synom: Cóż wy macie wspólnego z PANEM, Bogiem Izraela?

And if we haue not rather done it for feare of this thing, saying, In time to come your children might say vnto our children, What haue ye to doe with the Lord God of Israel?

25 Oto PAN ustanowił Jordan granicą między nami a wami, synowie Rubena i synowie Gada; nie macie działu w PANU. W ten sposób wasi synowie odwrócą naszych synów od bojaźni PANA.

For the Lord hath made Iorden a border betweene vs and you, ye children of Reuben, and of Gad: therefore ye haue no part in the Lord: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing the Lord.

26 Dlatego powiedzieliśmy: Uczyńmy tak i zbudujmy sobie ołtarz, nie do całopaleń ani do [innych] ofiar;

Therefore we said, We will nowe go about to make vs an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice,

27 Lecz aby był świadkiem między nami a wami i między naszymi pokoleniami po nas i abyśmy służyli PANU przed jego obliczem w naszych całopaleniach, ofiarach pokarmowych i ofiarach pojednawczych, aby w przyszłości wasi synowie nie powiedzieli naszym synom: Nie macie udziału w PANU.

But it shall be a witnesse betweene vs and you, and betweene our generations after vs, to execute the seruice of the Lord before him in our burnt offerings, and in our sacrifices, and in our peace offerings, and that your children should not say to our children in time to come, Ye haue no part in the Lord.

28 Powiedzieliśmy więc: Gdy w przyszłości tak powiedzą nam albo naszemu potomstwu, wtedy odpowiemy: Patrzcie na podobieństwo ołtarza PANA, który wznieśli nasi ojcowie, nie dla całopaleń ani dla [innych] ofiar, ale żeby był świadkiem między nami a wami.

Therefore said we, If so be that they should so say to vs or to our generations in time to come, then will we answere, Beholde the facion of the altar of the Lord, which our fathers made, not for burnt offering nor for sacrifice, but it is a witnesse betweene vs and you.

29 Nie daj Boże, żebyśmy mieli buntować się przeciw PANU i odwrócić się dziś od PANA, budując ołtarz do całopaleń, ofiar pokarmowych i [innych] ofiar poza ołtarzem PANA, naszego Boga, który znajduje się przed jego przybytkiem.

God forbid, that we should rebell against the Lord, and turne this day away from the Lord to builde an altar for burnt offering, or for meate offering, or for sacrifice, saue the altar of the Lord our God, that is before his Tabernacle.

30 A gdy kapłan Pinchas, naczelnicy zgromadzenia i przełożeni nad tysiącami Izraela, którzy z nim byli, usłyszeli słowa, które mówili synowie Rubena, synowie Gada i synowie Manassesa, uznali [je] za słuszne.

And when Phinehas the Priest, and the princes of the Congregation and heads ouer the thousands of Israel which were with him, heard the wordes, that the children of Reuben, and children of Gad, and the children of Manasseh spake, they were well content.

31 I Pinchas, syn kapłana Eleazara, powiedział do synów Rubena, synów Gada i synów Manassesa: Dzisiaj przekonaliśmy się, że PAN jest pośród nas, bo nie dopuściliście się tego przestępstwa przeciw PANU i wyzwoliliście synów Izraela z ręki PANA.

And Phinehas the sonne of Eleazar the Priest said vnto the children of Reuben and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceiue, that the Lord is among vs, because ye haue not done this trespasse against the Lord: nowe ye haue deliuered the children of Israel out of the hand of the Lord.

32 Wtedy Pinchas, syn kapłana Eleazara, oraz naczelnicy powrócili od synów Rubena i od synów Gada z ziemi Gilead do ziemi Kanaan, do synów Izraela, i zdali im sprawę.

Then Phinehas the sonne of Eleazar the Priest with the princes returned from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, vnto the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel, and brought them answere.

33 I spodobało się to synom Izraela; synowie Izraela błogosławili Boga i nie mówili [więcej] o wyruszeniu przeciw nim na wojnę, by zniszczyć ziemię, w której mieszkali synowie Rubena i synowie Gada.

And the saying pleased the children of Israel: and the children of Israel blessed God, and minded not to goe against them in battell, for to destroy the land, wherein the children of Reuben, and Gad dwelt.

34 Synowie Rubena i Gada nazwali ten ołtarz Ed, [mówiąc]: Świadkiem będzie między nami, że PAN [jest] Bogiem.

Then the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad called the altar Ed: for it shall be a witnesse betweene vs, that the Lord is God.
