1 A los synów Józefa przypadł od Jordanu przy Jerychu do wód Jerycha na wschodzie, do pustyni, która rozciąga się od Jerycha przez górę Betel;
And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from the Jordan by Jericho, unto the waters of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho by the mount Beth-el,
2 Od Betel biegnie do Luz i dalej do granic Archy, do Atarot.
And [the boundary] went out from Beth-el to Luz, and passed along unto the boundary of the Arkites to 'Ataroth,
3 Potem ciągnie się ku zachodowi do granicy Jaflety, aż do granicy dolnego Bet-Choron i aż do Gezer, i kończy się przy morzu.
And went down westward to the boundary of the Yaphleti, unto the border of Beth-choron the lower, and to Gezer; and its terminations were toward the sea.
4 Tak więc synowie Józefa, Manasses i Efraim, wzięli dziedzictwo.
This did the children of Joseph, Menasseh and Ephraim, take as their inheritance.
5 A granica synów Efraima według ich rodzin – granica ich dziedzictwa na wschodzie – była [od] Atarot-Addar aż do górnego Bet-Choron.
And [this] was the boundary of the children of Ephraim according to their families; and the boundary of their inheritance on the east side was 'Atroth-addar, up to Beth-choron the upper;
6 I ta granica biegła w kierunku morza do Mikmetat na północy, potem skręcała na wschód do Taanat-Szilo i przechodziła obok jej wschodniej strony aż do Janocha;
And the boundary went out toward the sea to Michmethath on the north; and the boundary fetched a compass eastward unto Taanathshiloh, and passed by it on the east to Yanochah;
7 I ciągnęła się od Janocha do Atarot i Naarat, i dochodziła do Jerycha, a kończyła się przy Jordanie.
And it went down from Yanochah to 'Ataroth, and to Na'arath, and touched on Jericho, and went out at the Jordan.
8 Od Tappuach granica biegła na zachód do potoku Kana, a kończyła się przy morzu. Takie było dziedzictwo pokolenia synów Efraima według ich rodzin.
From Tappuach westward the border went out unto the brook Kanah; and its terminations were toward the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim after their families;
9 Synowie Efraima [mieli] też wydzielone miasta pośrodku dziedzictwa synów Manassesa – wszystkie te miasta wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.
And [in addition to this] the cities which were separated for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Menasseh, all the cities with their villages.
10 I nie wygnali Kananejczyków, mieszkających w Gezer. I mieszkają Kananejczycy pośród Efraimitów aż do dziś, i stali się sługami składającymi daninę.
And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwelt among the Ephraimites until this day, and became tributary servants.
