Jana 1
1 Na początku było Słowo, a Słowo było u Boga i Bogiem było Słowo.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 Ono było na początku u Boga.
The same was in the beginning with God.
3 Wszystko przez nie się stało, a bez niego nic się nie stało, co się stało.
All things were made through him; and without him was nothing made that hath been made.
4 W nim było życie, a życie było światłością ludzi.
In him is life; and the life was the light of men.
5 A ta światłość świeci w ciemności, ale ciemność jej nie ogarnęła.
And the light hath been shining in the darkness; and the darkness received it not.
6 Był człowiek posłany od Boga, któremu na imię było Jan.
There was a man, sent from God, whose name was John.
7 Przyszedł on na świadectwo, aby świadczyć o tej światłości, by wszyscy przez niego uwierzyli.
He came as a witness, to bear witness of the light, that through him all might believe.
8 Nie był on tą światłością, ale [przyszedł], aby świadczyć o tej światłości.
He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light.
9 [Ten] był tą prawdziwą światłością, która oświeca każdego człowieka przychodzącego na świat.
The true light, which enlighteneth every man, was coming into the world.
10 Był na świecie, a świat został przez niego stworzony, ale świat go nie poznał.
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not.
11 Do swej własności przyszedł, ale swoi go nie przyjęli.
He came to his own, and his own received him not.
12 Lecz wszystkim tym, którzy go przyjęli, dał moc, aby się stali synami Bożymi, [to jest] tym, którzy wierzą w jego imię;
But as many as received him, to them he gave power to become children of God, —to those who believed in his name;
13 Którzy są narodzeni nie z krwi ani z woli ciała, ani z woli mężczyzny, ale z Boga.
who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 A to Słowo stało się ciałem i mieszkało wśród nas (i widzieliśmy jego chwałę, chwałę jako jednorodzonego od Ojca), pełne łaski i prawdy.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; and we beheld his glory, a glory as of an only begotten of a father.

John beareth witness of him, and crieth, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that cometh after me hath gone before me; for he was before me.

For out of his fullness have we all received, and grace upon grace.
17 Prawo bowiem zostało dane przez Mojżesza, [a] łaska i prawda przyszły przez Jezusa Chrystusa.
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 Boga nikt nigdy nie widział. Jednorodzony Syn, który jest w łonie Ojca, on [nam o nim] opowiedział.
No one hath ever seen God; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath made him known.
19 A takie jest świadectwo Jana, gdy Żydzi posłali z Jerozolimy kapłanów i lewitów, aby go zapytali: Kim ty jesteś?
And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem, to ask him, Who art thou?
20 I wyznał, a nie zaprzeczył, ale wyznał: Ja nie jestem Chrystusem.
And he declared, and did not deny; and he declared, I am not the Christ.
21 I pytali go: Kim więc jesteś? Jesteś Eliaszem? A [on] powiedział: Nie jestem. A [oni]: Jesteś [tym] prorokiem? I odpowiedział: Nie [jestem].
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he said, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
22 Wtedy go zapytali: Kim jesteś, abyśmy [mogli] dać odpowiedź tym, którzy nas posłali? Co mówisz sam o sobie?
They said therefore to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to those who sent us; what sayest thou of thyself?
23 Odpowiedział: Ja [jestem] głosem wołającego na pustyni: Prostujcie drogę Pana, jak powiedział prorok Izajasz.
He said, I am “a voice of one crying aloud in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord,” as said Isaiah the prophet.
24 A ci, którzy byli posłani, byli z faryzeuszy.
And they were sent from the Pharisees;
25 I zapytali go: Czemu więc chrzcisz, jeśli nie jesteś Chrystusem ani Eliaszem, ani tym prorokiem?
and they asked him and said to him, Why then dost thou baptize, if thou art not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?
26 Odpowiedział im Jan: Ja chrzczę wodą, ale pośród was stoi ten, którego wy nie znacie.
John answered them, saying, I baptize in water. There standeth one among you whom ye know not,
27 To jest ten, który przyszedłszy po mnie, uprzedził mnie, któremu ja nie jestem godny rozwiązać rzemyka u jego obuwia.
he who cometh after me, the latchet of whose sandal I am not worthy to loose.
28 Działo się to w Betabarze za Jordanem, gdzie Jan chrzcił.
These things took place in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 A nazajutrz Jan zobaczył Jezusa przychodzącego do niego i powiedział: Oto Baranek Boży, który gładzi grzech świata.
The next day he seeth Jesus coming to him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world!
30 To jest ten, o którym mówiłem, że idzie za mną człowiek, który mnie uprzedził, bo wcześniej był niż ja.
This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man, who hath gone before me; for he was before me.
31 Ja go nie znałem, ale przyszedłem, chrzcząc wodą, po to, aby został objawiony Izraelowi.
And I knew him not; but that he might be made manifest to Israel, therefore I came baptizing in water.
32 I świadczył Jan: Widziałem Ducha zstępującego jak gołębica z nieba i spoczął na nim.
And John bore witness, saying, I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it abode upon him.
33 A ja go nie znałem, ale ten, który mnie posłał, abym chrzcił wodą, powiedział do mnie: Na kogo ujrzysz Ducha zstępującego i spoczywającego na nim, to jest ten, który chrzci Duchem Świętym.
And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptize in water, the same said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, he it is that baptizeth in the Holy Spirit.
34 Ja [to] widziałem i świadczyłem, że on jest Synem Bożym.
And I have seen and have borne witness, that this is the Son of God.
35 Nazajutrz znowu stał [tam] Jan i dwóch z jego uczniów.
On the morrow John was again standing, and two of his disciples;
36 A gdy zobaczył Jezusa przechodzącego, powiedział: Oto Baranek Boży.
and looking upon Jesus as he was walking, he saith, Behold, the Lamb of God!
37 I słyszeli ci dwaj uczniowie, jak mówił, i poszli za Jezusem.
The two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
38 A Jezus, odwróciwszy się i ujrzawszy, że idą za nim, zapytał ich: Czego szukacie? A oni mu odpowiedzieli: Rabbi – co się tłumaczy: Mistrzu – gdzie mieszkasz?
Jesus turning and seeing them following, saith to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi, (that is to say, when interpreted, Teacher, ) where dost thou dwell?
39 Powiedział im: Chodźcie i zobaczcie. Poszli więc i zobaczyli, gdzie mieszka. I zostali z nim tego dnia, bo było około godziny dziesiątej.
He saith to them, Come, and ye shall see. They came therefore and saw where he dwelt; and they abode with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
40 [A] Andrzej, brat Szymona Piotra, był jednym z tych dwóch, którzy [to] usłyszeli od Jana i poszli za nim.
One of the two who heard what John said, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
41 On najpierw znalazł Szymona, swego brata, i powiedział do niego: Znaleźliśmy Mesjasza – co się tłumaczy: Chrystusa.
He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah; (which is, when interpreted, the Christ.)
42 I przyprowadził go do Jezusa. A Jezus spojrzał na niego i powiedział: Ty jesteś Szymon, syn Jonasza. Ty będziesz nazwany Kefas – co się tłumaczy: Piotr.
He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looking upon him said, Thou art Simon, the son of John; thou shalt be called Cephas; (which signifieth Peter, that is, Rock.)
43 A nazajutrz Jezus chciał pójść do Galilei. Znalazł Filipa i powiedział do niego: Pójdź za mną.
On the morrow he determined to go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip. And Jesus saith to him, Follow me.
44 A Filip był z Betsaidy, z miasta Andrzeja i Piotra.
Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Filip znalazł Natanaela i powiedział do niego: Znaleźliśmy tego, o którym pisał Mojżesz w Prawie, a także prorocy – Jezusa z Nazaretu, syna Józefa.
Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, We have found him of whom Moses in the Law, and the Prophets wrote, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is of Nazareth.
46 I zapytał go Natanael: Czyż z Nazaretu może być coś dobrego? Filip mu odpowiedział: Chodź i zobacz!
And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith to him, Come and see.
47 Gdy więc Jezus zobaczył Natanaela zbliżającego się do niego, powiedział o nim: Oto prawdziwie Izraelita, w którym nie ma podstępu.
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile.
48 Natanael go zapytał: Skąd mnie znasz? Odpowiedział mu Jezus: Zanim Filip cię zawołał, gdy byłeś pod drzewem figowym, widziałem cię.
Nathanael saith to him, Whence dost thou know me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
49 Odpowiedział mu Natanael: Mistrzu, ty jesteś Synem Bożym, ty jesteś królem Izraela.
Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the king of Israel.
50 Jezus mu odpowiedział: Czy wierzysz dlatego, że ci powiedziałem: Widziałem cię pod drzewem figowym? Ujrzysz większe rzeczy niż te.
Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, dost thou believe? Thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 I powiedział do niego: Zaprawdę, zaprawdę powiadam wam: Odtąd ujrzycie niebo otwarte i aniołów Boga wstępujących i zstępujących na Syna Człowieczego.
And he saith to him, Truly, truly do I say to you, Ye will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
