Hioba 32
1 A [gdy] ci trzej mężczyźni przestali odpowiadać Hiobowi, ponieważ był sprawiedliwy we własnych oczach;
So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2 Wtedy zapłonął gniewem Elihu, syn Barakeela, Buzyta, z rodu Ram; rozgniewał się na Hioba, gdyż usprawiedliwiał siebie bardziej niż Boga.
Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
3 Rozpalił się także jego gniew na jego trzech przyjaciół, bo nie znaleźli żadnej odpowiedzi, a jednak potępiali Hioba.
Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
4 Elihu czekał, aż Hiob skończy odpowiedź, gdyż oni byli od niego starsi.
Now Elihu had waited to speak unto Job, because they were elder than he.
5 Gdy Elihu zauważył, że w ustach trzech mężczyzn nie ma żadnej odpowiedzi, zapłonął gniewem.
And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.
6 I Elihu, syn Barakeela, Buzyta, odpowiedział: Ja jestem młody, a wy jesteście starzy, dlatego bałem się i nie śmiałem wyjawić wam swego zdania.
And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I held back, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
7 Myślałem: Niech przemówią dni, a mnogość lat [niech] uczy mądrości.
I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
8 Ale to duch jest w człowieku i tchnienie Wszechmogącego daje rozum.
But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
9 Wielcy nie [zawsze są] mądrzy, a starcy nie [zawsze] rozumieją sąd.
It is not the great that are wise, nor the aged that understand judgment.
10 Dlatego mówię: Posłuchajcie mnie, ja też wypowiem swoje zdanie.
Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.
11 Oto czekałem na wasze słowa, przysłuchiwałem się waszym dowodom, gdy przygotowywaliście mowę.
Behold, I waited for your words, I listened for your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
12 I przypatrywałem się wam, a oto żaden z was nie przekonał Hioba i nikt nie odpowiedział na jego słowa;
Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none that convinced Job, or that answered his words, among you.
13 I nie możecie powiedzieć: Znaleźliśmy mądrość. [Sam] Bóg go strąca, nie człowiek.
Beware lest ye say, We have found wisdom; God may vanquish him, not man:
14 Nie do mnie skierował swoje słowa, a ja nie odpowiem mu waszymi słowami.
For he hath not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.
15 Zaniepokoili się i już nie odpowiadali; przestali mówić.
They are amazed, they answer no more: they have not a word to say.
16 Czekałem, lecz nie mówili, ale stanęli i już nic nie powiedzieli.
And shall I wait, because they speak not, because they stand still, and answer no more?
17 Odpowiem ze swojej strony, wypowiem też swoje zdanie.
I also will answer my part, I also will shew mine opinion.
18 Jestem bowiem pełny słów, mój duch przymusza mnie.
For I am full of words; the spirit within me constraineth me.
19 Oto moje wnętrze jest jak wino, które nie ma ujścia; jak nowe bukłaki [zagrożone] pęknięciem.
Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; like new bottles it is ready to burst.
20 Będę więc mówić, aby ulżyć sobie; otworzę swoje wargi i odpowiem.
I will speak, that I may be refreshed; I will open my lips and answer.
21 Nie będę miał względu na nikogo i nikomu nie będę schlebiał.
Let me not, I pray you, respect any man’s person; neither will I give flattering titles unto any man.
22 Nie umiem bowiem schlebiać, gdyż mój Stwórca wnet by mnie porwał.
For I know not to give flattering titles; [else] would my Maker soon take me away.
