Izajasza 32
1 Oto król będzie panował w sprawiedliwości, a książęta będą rządzić w prawości.
Behold a king shall reign in justice, and princes shell rule in judgment.
2 I ten mężczyzna będzie jak zasłona przed wiatrem i jak schronienie przed burzą; jak strumienie wód w suchym miejscu, jak cień wielkiej skały w spragnionej ziemi.
And a man shall be as when one is hid from the wind, and hideth himself from a storm, as rivers of waters in drought, and the shadow of a rock that standeth out in a desert land.
3 Oczy patrzących nie będą zaćmione i uszy słuchających będą uważnie słuchać.
The eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken diligently.
4 Serce pochopnych zrozumie wiedzę, a język jąkających się będzie mówić pewnie i wyraźnie.
And the heart of fools shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of stammerers shall speak readily and plain.
5 Nieszlachetnego nie będą już nazywać szlachetnym ani o skąpym nie powie się, że [jest] szczodry;
The fool shall no more be called prince: neither shall the deceitful be called great:
6 Nieszlachetny bowiem mówi nikczemnie i jego serce obmyśla nieprawość, aby postępował obłudnie i mówił przeciwko PANU przewrotnie, by wyniszczył duszę głodnego i spragnionego pozbawił napoju.
For the fool will speak foolish things, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and speak to the Lord deceitfully, and to make empty the soul of the hungry, and take away drink from the thirsty.
7 Zamierzenia skąpego są złe, bo chytrze obmyśla, jak zniszczyć biednych słowami kłamstwa i mówić przeciwko ubogim przed sądem.
The vessels of the deceitful are most wicked: for he hath framed devices to destroy the meek, with lying words, when the poor man speaketh judgment.
8 Ale szczodry ma szczodrobliwe myśli i będzie obstawać przy swojej szczodrobliwości.
But the prince will devise such things as are worthy of a prince, and he shall stand above the rulers.
9 Kobiety beztroskie, powstańcie, słuchajcie mego głosu; córki pewne siebie, nakłońcie ucha na moją mowę.
Rise up, ye rich women, and hear my voice: ye confident daughters, give ear to my speech.
10 Przez wiele dni i lat będziecie zatrwożone, wy pewne siebie! Ustanie bowiem winobranie, zbioru nie będzie.
For after days and a year, you that are confident shall be troubled: for the vintage is at an end, the gathering shall come no more.
11 Zatrwóżcie się, wy beztroskie, ulęknijcie się, pewne siebie! Rozbierzcie się i obnażcie się, a przepaszcie [worem] biodra.
Be astonished, ye rich women, be troubled, ye confident ones: strip yen, and be confounded, gird your loins.
12 Nastanie lament nad piersiami, nad rozkosznymi polami i nad urodzajną winoroślą.
Mourn for your breasts, for the delightful country, for the fruitful vineyard.
13 Na ziemi mojego ludu wyrosną ciernie i osty – tak, we wszystkich wesołych domach w rozbawionym mieście.
Upon the land of my people shall thorns and briers come up: how much more upon all the houses of joy, of the city that rejoiced?
14 Pałace bowiem zostaną opuszczone, ustanie wrzawa miasta, zamek i baszty staną się jaskiniami na zawsze, miejscem uciechy dla dzikich osłów, pastwiskiem dla stad;
For the house is forsaken, the multitude of the city is left, darkness and obscurity are come upon its dens for ever. A joy of wild asses, the pastures of flocks,
15 Aż zostanie wylany na nas duch z wysoka, pustynia obróci się w urodzajne pole, a urodzajne pole będzie uważane za las.
Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high: and the desert shall be as a charmel, and charmel shall be counted for a forest.
16 Sąd zamieszka na pustyni, sprawiedliwość osiądzie na urodzajnym polu.
And judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and justice shall sit in charmel.
17 Dziełem sprawiedliwości będzie pokój, owocem sprawiedliwości odpoczynek i bezpieczeństwo na wieki.
And the work of justice shall be peace, and the service of justice quietness, and security for ever.
18 Mój lud bowiem będzie mieszkał w przybytku pokoju, w bezpiecznych mieszkaniach i w spokojnych miejscach odpoczynku;
And my people shall sit in the beauty of peace, and in the tabernacles of confidence, and in wealthy rest.
19 Gdy spadnie na las grad, a miasto będzie bardzo poniżone.
But hail shall be in the descent of the forest, and the city shall be made very low.
20 Błogosławieni jesteście, wy, którzy siejecie na wszelkich urodzajnych miejscach, puszczając tam wolno woły i osły.
Blessed are ye that sow upon all waters, sending thither the foot of the ox and the ass.
