Ozeasza 7
1 Gdy leczyłem Izraela, wtedy odkryła się nieprawość Efraima i niegodziwość Samarii, bo postępują kłamliwie; złodziej włamuje się do środka, rozbójnicy rabują na zewnątrz.
When I woulde haue healed Israel, then the iniquitie of Ephraim was discouered, and the wickednesse of Samaria: for they haue dealt falsly: and the theefe commeth in, and the robber spoyleth without.
2 A nie myślą w swoim sercu, [że] pamiętam o całej ich niegodziwości; [a] teraz ich czyny osaczają ich [i] są przed moim obliczem.
And they consider not in their hearts, that I remember all their wickednes: now their owne inuentions haue beset them about: they are in my sight.
3 Króla rozweselają swoją niegodziwością, a książąt swymi kłamstwami.
They make the King glad with their wickednesse, and the princes with their lies.
4 Wszyscy cudzołożą, [są] jak piec rozpalony od piekarza, [który] przestaje czuwać, gdy zaczynił ciasto, aż się zakwasi.
They are all adulterers, and as a very ouen heated by ye baker, which ceaseth from raysing vp, and from kneading ye dough vntill it be leauened.
5 W dniu naszego króla książęta wprawili [go] w chorobę bukłakami wina, tak że wyciągał swoją rękę wraz z szydercami.
This is the day of our King: the princes haue made him sicke with flagons of wine: he stretcheth out his hand to scorners.
6 Bo przygotowali swe serce do zasadzek jak rozpalony piec. Ich piekarz śpi całą noc, a rano płonie jak płomień ognia.
For they haue made ready their heart like an ouen whiles they lie in waite: their baker sleepeth all the night: in the morning it burneth as a flame of fire.
7 Wszyscy są rozpaleni jak piec i pożerają swoich sędziów; wszyscy ich królowie upadli. Nie ma wśród nich [nikogo], kto by wołał do mnie.
They are all hote as an ouen, and haue deuoured their iudges: all their Kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth vnto me.
8 Efraim zmieszał się z narodami; Efraim jest [jak] podpłomyk nieodwrócony.
Ephraim hath mixt himselfe among the people. Ephraim is as a cake on the hearth not turned.
9 Obcy pochłonęli jego siłę, a on [o tym] nie wie; siwizna przyprószyła mu włosy, ale on tego nie dostrzega.
Strangers haue deuoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray heares are here and there vpon him, yet he knoweth not.
10 I [choć] pycha Izraela świadczy przeciwko niemu, to nie nawracają się do PANA, swego Boga, ani go w tym wszystkim nie szukają.
And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face, and they doe not returne to the Lord their God, nor seeke him for all this.
11 Efraim stał się jak głupia gołębica bez serca. Przyzywają Egipt, uciekają [do] Asyrii.
Ephraim also is like a doue deceiued, without heart: they call to Egypt: they go to Asshur.
12 Gdy odejdą, rozciągnę na nich swoją sieć, ściągnę ich jak ptactwo niebieskie; ukarzę ich, jak im mówiono o tym w ich zgromadzeniu.
But when they shall go, I will spred my net vpon them, and drawe them downe as the foules of the heauen: I will chastice them as their congregation hath heard.
13 Biada im, bo uciekli ode mnie! [Niech spadnie] na nich spustoszenie, gdyż wystąpili przeciwko mnie. Chociaż ich odkupiłem, oni mówili kłamstwa przeciwko mnie.
Wo vnto them: for they haue fled away from me: destruction shalbe vnto them, because they haue transgressed against me: though I haue redeemed them, yet they haue spoken lyes against me.
14 I nie wołają do mnie ze swego serca, gdy wyją na swoich łożach. Wprawdzie dla zboża i moszczu gromadzą się, ale ode mnie odstępują.
And they haue not cryed vnto me with their hearts, when they houled vpon their beds: they assembled themselues for corne, and wine, and they rebell against me.
15 Choć opatrzyłem i wzmocniłem ich ramiona, oni obmyślają zło przeciwko mnie.
Though I haue boud and strengthened their arme, yet doe they imagine mischiefe against me.
16 Zawracają, [ale] nie do Najwyższego. Są jak łuk zawodny; ich książęta polegną od miecza z powodu zapalczywości swego języka. To wystawi ich na pośmiewisko w ziemi Egiptu.
They returne, but not to the most high: they are like a deceitfull bowe: their princes shall fall by the sword, for the rage of their tongues: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
