1 Potem Abraham wyruszył stamtąd do ziemi południowej i zamieszkał między Kadesz a Szur, i był przybyszem w Gerarze.
And he set out from there Abraham [the] land of towards the Negev and he dwelt between Kadesh and between Shur and he sojourned in Gerar.
2 Tam Abraham powiedział o swej żonie Sarze: Ona jest moją siostrą. Dlatego Abimelek, król Geraru, posłał po Sarę i wziął ją.
And he said Abraham concerning Sarah wife his [is] sister my she and he sent Abimelech [the] king of Gerar and he took Sarah.
3 Lecz Bóg przyszedł do Abimeleka we śnie w nocy i powiedział mu: Umrzesz z powodu tej kobiety, którą wziąłeś, bo ona ma męża.
And he came God to Abimelech in a dream the night and he said to him here you [are] about to die on the woman whom you have taken and she [is] married of a husband.
4 Ale Abimelek jeszcze nie zbliżył się do niej i powiedział: Panie, czy zabijesz też lud sprawiedliwy?
And Abimelech not he had drawn near to her and he said O Lord ¿ a nation also righteous will you kill.
5 Czy on sam nie mówił mi: Ona jest moją siostrą? I czy ona również nie mówiła: On jest moim bratem? Uczyniłem to w prostocie mego serca i z czystymi rękami.
¿ Not he did he say to me [is] sister my she and she also she she said [is] brother my he in [the] integrity of heart my and in [the] innocence of hands my I have done this.
6 Wtedy Bóg powiedział mu we śnie: Wiem, że uczyniłeś to w prostocie swego serca. Dlatego powstrzymałem cię, abyś nie zgrzeszył przeciwko mnie, i nie dopuściłem, abyś jej dotknął.
And he said to him God in a dream also I I know that in [the] integrity of heart your you did this and I have restrained also I you from sinning to me there-fore not I have permitted you to touch her.
7 Teraz więc zwróć żonę mężowi, bo on jest prorokiem i będzie się modlił za ciebie, a będziesz żył. Jeśli jej nie zwrócisz, wiedz, że na pewno umrzesz, ty i wszystko, co jest twoje.
And therefore return [the] wife of the man for [is] a prophet he so he may pray for you and live and if not [are] you returning [her] know that certainly you will die you and all who [belong] to you.
8 Abimelek wstał zatem wcześnie rano, zwołał wszystkie swoje sługi i do ich uszu opowiedział wszystko. Gdy ci mężczyźni to usłyszeli, bardzo się przestraszyli.
And he rose early Abimelech in the morning and he summoned all servants his and he spoke all the words these in ears their and they were afraid the men exceedingly.
9 Potem Abimelek wezwał Abrahama i powiedział mu: Co nam uczyniłeś? W czym zgrzeszyłem przeciwko tobie, że sprowadziłeś na mnie i na moje królestwo tak wielki grzech? Postąpiłeś ze mną tak, jak nie należy postępować.
And he summoned Abimelech Abraham and he said to him what? have you done to us and what? have I sinned to you for you have brought on me and on kingdom my a sin great deeds which not they will be done you have done with me.
10 Abimelek zapytał [jeszcze] Abrahama: Co widziałeś, że tak postąpiłeś?
And he said Abimelech to Abraham what? did you see that you have done the thing this.
11 Abraham odpowiedział: Bo myślałem – na pewno nie ma w tym miejscu bojaźni Bożej i zabiją mnie z powodu mojej żony.
And he said Abraham that I said certainly there not [is] [the] fear of God in the place this and they will kill me on [the] matter of wife my.
12 Zresztą ona naprawdę [jest] moją siostrą, córką mego ojca, choć nie córką mojej matki. I została moją żoną.
And also truly [is] sister my [the] daughter of father my she only not [the] daughter of mother my and she became of me a wife.
13 Gdy więc Bóg wyprawił mnie na wędrówkę z domu mego ojca, powiedziałem do niej: Oto przysługa, jaką mi wyświadczysz – w każdym miejscu, do którego przyjdziemy, mów o mnie: [To] jest mój brat.
And it was just as they caused to wander me God from [the] household of father my and I said to her this [is] loyalty your which you will do with me to every place where we will go there towards say of me [is] brother my he.
14 Wtedy Abimelek wziął owce i woły oraz służących i służące i dał Abrahamowi, i zwrócił mu jego żonę Sarę.
And he took Abimelech sheep and cattle and [male] servants and female servants and he gave [them] to Abraham and he restored to him Sarah wife his.
15 I Abimelek powiedział: Oto moja ziemia jest przed tobą. Zamieszkaj, gdzie ci się podoba.
And he said Abimelech there! land my [is] before you in the [place] good in view your dwell.
16 A do Sary powiedział: Dałem twemu bratu tysiąc srebrników. Oto on [jest] zasłoną twoich oczu u wszystkich, którzy [są] z tobą, i u wszystkich innych. O tym [Sara] została pouczona.
And to Sarah he said here! I give a thousand silver to brother your there! it for you [is] a covering of eyes to all who [are] with you and with everyone [you are] vindicated.
17 Wtedy Abraham modlił się do Boga i Bóg uzdrowił Abimeleka, a także jego żonę i jego służące, i one rodziły.
And he prayed Abraham to God and he healed God Abimelech and wife his and female slaves his and they bore children.
18 PAN bowiem zamknął wszystkie łona domu Abimeleka z powodu Sary, żony Abrahama.
For certainly had shut up Yahweh behind every womb of [the] household of Abimelech on [the] matter of Sarah [the] wife of Abraham.
