Ezechiela 26
1 W jedenastym roku, pierwszego [dnia] miesiąca, doszło do mnie słowo PANA mówiące:
And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, that the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
2 Synu człowieczy, ponieważ Tyr mówił o Jerozolimie: Ha! Zniszczona została brama ludu, obróciła się do mnie. [Teraz] będę napełniony, [gdyż] ona jest spustoszona.
Son of man, Because Tyre hath said concerning Jerusalem. Aha! She is broken that was the doors of the peoples. She is turned unto me, — I shall be filled, She is laid waste,
3 Dlatego tak mówi Pan BÓG: Oto [wystąpię] przeciwko tobie, Tyrze, i sprowadzę na ciebie wiele narodów, jak morze podnosi swoje fale.
Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Behold me! against thee O Tyre, — So then I will bring up against thee many nations, As the sea bringeth up its rolling waves;
4 Zburzą mury Tyru i wywrócą jego wieże. Wymiotę z niego jego proch i uczynię go wierzchołkiem gładkiej skały.
And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre. And break down her towers, And I will scrape clean her dust from off her, —And make of her the glaring face of a cliff:
5 Stanie się miejscem suszenia sieci pośród morza, bo ja [to] powiedziałem, mówi Pan BÓG. Stanie się łupem narodów.
A place for the spreading of nets, shall she become, in the midst of the sea, For, I, have spoken Declareth My Lord. Yahweh, -And she shall become a prey to the nations.
6 A jego córki, które [będą] na polu, zostaną zabite mieczem; i poznają, że ja jestem PANEM.
And her daughters that are in the field: with the sword shall be slain: So shall they know that I am Yahweh.
7 Tak bowiem mówi Pan BÓG: Oto sprowadzę z północy przeciwko Tyrowi Nabuchodonozora, króla Babilonu, króla królów, z końmi, rydwanami, jeźdźcami, oddziałami i z wielkim ludem.
For thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Behold me! bringing against Tyre. Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon out of the North. a king of kings, —with horses and with chariots and with horsemen, and a gathered host, and much people.
8 Twoje córki na polu zabije mieczem, zbuduje przeciwko tobie baszty, usypie przeciwko tobie wał i podniesie przeciwko tobie tarczę.
Thy daughters in the field—with the sword, shall he slay, - And shall set against thee a siege-wall And cast up against thee an earthwork, And set up against thee a large shield;
9 Skieruje tarany przeciwko twoim murom i zburzy twoje wieże swymi młotami [wojennymi].
And the stroke of his attacking-engine, will he direct against thy walls, — And thy towers, will he break down with his axes.
10 Z powodu mnóstwa jego koni okryje cię ich kurz; od grzmotu jeźdźców, wozów i rydwanów zadrżą twoje mury, gdy wjedzie w twoje bramy, jak [wtedy, gdy] wjeżdża się do zburzonego miasta.
By reason of the multitude of his horses, their dust shall cover thee, — At the noise of horseman and wheel and chariot, shall thy walls tremble, when he entereth into thy gates Just as they do who enter a city broken open.
11 Kopytami swoich koni zdepcze wszystkie twoje ulice, twój lud zabije mieczem i twoje potężne słupy runą na ziemię.
With the hoofs of his horses, shall he tread down all thy streets, — Thy people-with the sword, shall he slay, And thy pillars of strength to the earth, shall go down.
12 Złupią twoje bogactwo i zrabują twoje towary, zburzą twoje mury i zniszczą twoje wspaniałe domy, a twoje kamienie, drewno i proch wrzucą do wody.
And they shall spoil thy wealth And make a prey of thy merchandise, And break down thy walls And thy pleasant houses, shall they lay in ruins; And thy stones and thy timber and thy dust—in the midst of the waters, shall they lay.
13 I sprawię, że ustanie głos twoich pieśni, a dźwięku twoich harf nie będzie już słychać.
And I will cause to cease the hum of thy songs; And the sound of thy lyres, shall not be heard any more.
14 I uczynię cię wierzchołkiem gładkiej skały, staniesz się [miejscem] suszenia sieci i nie będziesz już odbudowany, bo ja, PAN, [to] powiedziałem, mówi Pan BÓG.
And I will make of thee the glaring face of a cliff. A place for the spreading of nets, shalt thou become, Thou shalt not be but any more, For I. Yahweh have spoken it, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
15 Tak mówi Pan BÓG do Tyru: Czy nie zadrżą wyspy na huk twego upadku, gdy ranni będą wołać, gdy będzie okrutna rzeź pośród ciebie?
Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, to Tyre: Shall it not be that. At the sound of thy fall. With the groan of thy pierced one. With the slaughter made in thy midst, The Coastlands shall tremble?
16 Wtedy wszyscy książęta morscy zejdą ze swoich tronów, złożą z siebie swoje płaszcze i zdejmą swoje haftowane szaty. Przyobleką się w strach, usiądą na ziemi, będą drżeć nieustannie i zdumiewać się nad tobą.
Then shall come down from off their thrones all the princes of the sea, And shall lay aside their robes. And their embroidered garments, shall strip off, — With tremblings, shall they clothe them. selves Upon the ground, shall they sit, And shall tremble every moment and be astonished over thee.
17 I podniosą lament nad tobą, i będą mówić do ciebie: Jakżeś zginęło, [miasto] zamieszkane z powodu [swej bliskości] do morza, miasto sławne, które było potężne na morzu, ono i jego mieszkańcy, którzy budzili grozę u wszystkich mieszkańców na morzu!
Then shall they take up over thee a dirge, And say to thee, - How hast thou perished, And ceased from the seas, - The city renowned which was strong in the sea She and they who dwelt in her, Who imparted their terror To all who dwelt in her.
18 Wtedy zadrżą wyspy w dniu twego upadku; tak, wyspy morskie zatrwożą się z powodu twego zginięcia.
Now, shall tremble the Coastlands, In the day of thy fall, - And shall shudder the isles that are in the sea. At thine exit!
19 Tak bowiem mówi Pan BÓG: Gdy uczynię cię miastem spustoszonym jak miasta, w których nikt nie mieszka, [gdy] sprowadzę na ciebie głębinę, tak że przykryją cię wielkie fale;
For thus saith My Lord Yahweh, When I make thee a desolate city, Like cities which cannot be dwelt in, - When I bring up over thee the roaring deep, And the mighty waters cover thee,
20 Gdy strącę cię do tych, którzy zstępują do dołu, do ludu dawnego, i umieszczę cię w najniższych stronach ziemi – w dawnych miejscach opustoszałych – z tymi, co zstępują do dołu, abyś nie było zamieszkane, [wtedy] pokażę sławę w ziemi żyjących.
Then will I bring thee down with them that go down into the pit. Unto the people of age-past times And cause thee to dwell in the earth below Among the desolations from age-past times With them that go down into the pit That thou mayest not be dwelt in, Nor yet present thyself in the land of the living.
21 Uczynię z ciebie postrach i przestaniesz istnieć; a choć będą cię szukać, nigdy cię nie znajdą, mówi Pan BÓG.
A terror, will I make thee And thou shalt not be: Though thou be sought for, Thou shalt not be found any more To times age-abiding, Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.
