Ezechiela 2

1 I powiedział do mnie: Synu człowieczy, stań na nogi, a będę do ciebie mówił.

And he said unto me, —Son of man, Stand upon thy feet, that I may, speak with thee.

2 I wstąpił we mnie duch, gdy przemówił do mnie, i postawił mnie na nogi; potem słyszałem tego, który mówił do mnie.

Then the Spirit entered into me as soon as he spake unto me, and it caused me to stand upon my feet, —and I heard one speaking unto me.

3 Powiedział mi: Synu człowieczy, ja cię posyłam do synów Izraela, do narodu buntowniczego, który mi się sprzeciwił. Oni i ich ojcowie występowali przeciwko mnie aż do dziś.

And he said unto me- Son of man I am sending thee unto the sons of Israel, unto rebellious nations, which have rebelled against me, —they, and their fathers have transgressed against me, until this very day;

4 Są to synowie o bezczelnych twarzach i zatwardziałym sercu. Do nich cię posyłam. Powiesz im: Tak mówi Pan BÓG.

and it is unto such sons—of shameless face, and emboldened heart, that I am sending thee, —therefore shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh.

5 A oni, czy posłuchają, czy nie – gdyż są domem buntowniczym – przecież będą wiedzieć, że był wśród nich prorok.

And they! whether they will hear or whether they will forbear, for a perverse house, they are, shall then know that, a prophet, hath been in their midst.

6 Ale ty, synu człowieczy, nie bój się ich ani nie lękaj się ich słów, chociaż otaczają cię osty i ciernie i mieszkasz wśród skorpionów. Nie bój się ich słów ani nie lękaj się ich twarzy, gdyż są domem buntowniczym.

But thou son of man Be not afraid of them Nor of their words, be afraid Though thorns and thistles are about thee, And amongst prickly plants, thou dost dwell, Of their words, be not afraid nor At their faces, be thou dismayed, For a perverse house, they are!

7 Powiedz im moje słowa, czy usłuchają, czy nie, gdyż są zbuntowani.

Thou shalt therefore speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear For perverse, they are!

8 Lecz ty, synu człowieczy, słuchaj, co mówię do ciebie: Nie bądź zbuntowany jak [ten] dom buntowniczy. Otwórz swe usta i zjedz, co ci daję.

Thou, therefore son of man, hear what I am speaking unto thee., become not perverse like the perverse house, —open thy mouth, and eat that which I am giving unto thee.

9 I spojrzałem, a oto ręka [była] wyciągnięta do mnie, a w niej zwój księgi;

So I looked, and lo! a hand put forth unto me, —and lo! therein a scroll;

10 A on rozwinął go przede mną. Był zapisany z jednej i z drugiej strony, a spisane były w nim lamenty, żal i biadania.

and he spread it out before me, and, it was written on the front and the back, —and there were written thereon, lamentation and sighing, and wailing.
